1. Unfasten the fitting
If your tuffhoze is leaking at the fittings, try checking the end connections. First, start by simply removing the fitting. This will reveal the internals to the tuffhoze.
2. Check the connection
Secondly, check the connection of your tuffhoze.. Clean out the aquastop connection and the end of your tuffhoze.
3. Secure the connection
Once clean, secure the connection in place by pushing the tuffhoze back into the aquastop connector. Make sure the connection is tight.
4. Fasten the fitting
Finally, tightly fasten the fitting back onto the aqua stop connector on your tuffhoze. This 2 minute fix will resolve any leaks that may have occurred.

Great hose pipe. Extremely tough, and should last years! Plus not that more expensive than the expandable types, which in my experience only last a couple of years. It is heavy in weight, particularly when wet, so bear this in mind. Highly recommend though.
I bought this after I split my previous one by using it with a portable pressure washer. This tough one is designed for the job and so far it has stood up to the pressure. It is well built. I expected it to reduce in size, like my expandable one did, but it doesn’t but that’s not a problem.
I had a Hozelock anti tangle, it was yellow, I liked using that hose. I was looking forward to using this new hose but it really tangle up and did not straighten up and follow me as I walked around as I watered my small growing area. Initial use was disappointing.
I bought this as a replacement and now can’t imagine gardening without it. Easy to handle, robust and great fittings.
Spent a while searching for a hosepipe to meet our needs and this one fits the bill. Unpack and click onto outside tap – allow to fill with water and ‘bob’s your uncle’ so to speak. Is lighter weight than a standard garden hose but not ‘featherweight’ however is very supple and easy to move around the garden/driveway as needed. As for durability – time will tell as have only had this for a few months. Happy with purchase.
This is lightweight and appears durable. It has a 30 year guarantee so I’m not too concerned.
As it’s such an expensive hosepipe I have cable tied mine to the pipe work outside purely to deter opportunist thieves. I know that won’t stop someone determined but at least now you can’t steal it unless you have a pair of scissors with you.
Liked everything about it, it’s tuff it doesn’t leek on any of the conections, infact best hose I’ve ever had, but you get what you pay for my 25 mtr was 55, can’t say about how long it will last but it’s got a guarantee for 30 years. I’m very happy with it, don’t waste your money on cheep crappy hosepipes.
As a person with extensive sailing experience, I know a thing or two about fire hoses. This is a miniature version of a proper hose with durable and lightweight material and non leaking fitting. Totally recommend
A hose that doesn’t fight back, or refuse to untangle. This is the best hose ever. It’s so flexible and easy to use. Next door neighbours’ workmen borrowed it and I thought I wasn’t going to get it back. They were so impressed. It’s not cheap, but worth the extra money.
This is the best hose we’ve ever purchased. All of my previous hoses have faded in the sun so I’ve made a protective waterproof cover for it. This should prolong the life. The pressure is by far the best compared to others I’ve used. Money well spent I’d say.
I’ve had a few of the yellow hozelock expanding hoses over the years and love them until they eventually develop a hole and break. This seems sturdier but it doesn’t shrink down nearly as small. No leaks or issues so far which some reviewers complained about.
Really light weight and doesn’t kink. When storing you could do with installing a bracket/hook of sorts just so it’s off the ground. Comes with new fittings for taps and accessories so you can attach to the outlet fresh and still plug in Hozelock accessories you already have.
Got this to replace my stretchy hoses which I seem to have to replace every year. It stands up to the pressure without coming off the tap but is much heavier than a stretchy one but not as bad as traditional hose. Got it because of the good and long guarantee and hoped it was lighter as in description but it is still pretty heavy when full of water.
Purchased to replace a so-called expandable hose – which of course only expands to the advertised length when filled with water, then shrinks dramatically when in use, such that it can often prove to be an expensive mistake. This new design is different, the hose has the same tough outer fabric covering but there is very little expansion, therefore in terms of hose length, what you see is what you get. We bought the 25m version, not as lightweight as Hozelock claim but entirely manageable and certainly feels lighter than a standard garden hose. We have only used this item for a few months so I can not comment on quality and long term durability (of three expandable hoses we have owned previously, two failed (burst) after a year or two of relatively light use). The item does however look and feel tough and well made and has so far lived up to the quality Hozelock name. It is on the expensive side, but one must expect to pay for good high-tech products.
We bought this to use with a pressure washer as reviews advised the x-hose was unsuitable. It was well worth the money, no worries about there being too much pressure on the hose. Very durable, not quite as lightweight as the x-hose but not as heavy as our old hose. No more kinks or knots to slow down the flow!! We bought the 25ft hose as we have a long garden and it easily stretches!
I have always paid good money for quality garden hoses, normally buying this brand. I did in the past buy an unbranded ‘stretch’ hose as I was fed up with a huge reel on the wall. This lasted a year then fell apart, but I really liked the idea. After that I purchased a traditional non kink 25m Hoselock hose with plastic reel. This I had for two years but got completely fed up with the constant kinks in the hose and the immense bulk of the plastic monster that would occasionally make a leap for freedom. I spend an age looking for a decent quality stretch hose on Amazon but drew a blank. Just as I was about to give in I found this!
Got the wall mount to go with it (nice low profile unit with small cubbie hole) and am very very impressed. Works brilliantly and seems like it will last for years. Great for general use including supplying my pressure washer.
Love this hose, I bought it for hubby’s birthday and I think I’m more excited about it than he is lol. It’s beats a normal hose that says it’s not meant to kink and it does. But this hose is great, it doesn’t kink and squashes down well on the reel when your putting it away. All the fixings are the same as a normal hose and it attaches to the outside tap perfectly. As we are on lock down it looks like I’ll be playing with hubby’s hose in the garden for a while yet as long as the sun shines and the plants need watering :o)
Only used once but noticed a very slight leak coming from the yellow section between the actual hose and the nozzle. I assume this is because this bit moves to release the nozzle but if it gets worse I will certainly look for a replacement. Went for Hozelock as supposed to be the best. Previous to this I had a much cheaper hose and this did not last.
