A really good value, nice looking pc. When matched with a 32inch monitor I do not believe for the price this can be beaten. It replaced my i mac and I am glad to go back to a windows operating system.
Been meaning to replace my HP laptop that was getting a bit laggie by the time COVID hit us – after umming and ahhing for three years I started to think in terms of going back to a desktop. I am fairly good with tech, way back I used to build my own PCs so this unit seemed like a good choice for my needs, quiet, small and good enough for WFH and playing music. I do game but use an X-Box so my comments don’t cover this aspect.
It is easy to install and get up and running, quite impressed with the speed it boots up, you could go off and make a cup of tea while my old lap top loaded. MS Office works well, the graphics are very good as well, I have it connected up to a Viewsonic video conferencing screen for WFH and very pleased with the results. This is not a muscle machine but it is an excellent value workhorse for WFH. One niggle is the hard drive memory, I have a lot of music flacc files which are too much for the unit but on the plus side for those with basic know how a chunky hard drive can be added quite easily.
Absolutely love this HP slimline tower.
Its silent, has everything you need.
I did add a wireless Keyboard and Mouse set which is also silent.
Just what’s needed and no more. Speakers are adequate for watching as a TV.
I have been using an HP standalone hard-drive PC for about seven years but over the last couple of years it’s been getting gradually slower and “laggy” until I finally decided that the resulting interruptions to my work resulting from its slow performance was costing me too much time and money.
I’ve now been using my new HP PC for a few weeks and it’s transformed my work efficiency – instant start up, no waiting for downloads, no more seizing up and forced start-ups etc.
If you’ve been hesitating about switching from a conventional hard-drive PC to one with a Solid State Drive (SSD) I recommend you do so immediately.
his was advertised as a second due to scratches on it, scratch was on the back and you have to look to find it, fast and works really well, chuffed to bits with it.
Minor niggles.
Firstly its a rather cheap and nasty mouse.
Secondly although the bloatware isn’t as big as some computers there was a problem with the preinstalled Mcafee that removed to remove itself using the normal process. This is so annoying and just wrong. In experienced users will be stuck with it. I had to find the Mcaffee software removal tool and I just shouldn’t have to do this.
Later updates as we get used to it if anything worthy of comment.
