Good quality product at a reasonable price has been good so far but will see how long it lasts
Have used this mower weekly for almost 3 months and it hasn’t missed a beat.
Easy to assemble and started 2nd pull out if the box and always starts 1st or 2nd pull.
Self propulsion is very brisk and deals easily with our uneven lawn.
Some reviews mention low handle height but at 6ft tall I haven’t had any problems with this.
Would definitely recommend.
Bought this for my dad with bad knees and honestly once it’s in the garden, it’s heavy enough to be hard to steal from the shed, and motorised enough to help him cut grass on a fairly large garden. Not sure about durability but it comes with a good warrantee..
Great lawnmower , I have a 80ft garden and cuts it well and would recommend
Mower arrived on time. Easy to put together just make sure cables are connected to correct lever. Hey Hyundi if you colour coded lever and cables it would be a simple fix to any problems. Starts easy cuts brilliantly. We’ll worth the money ..
Delivered promptly and easy to assemble, the build quality is excellent and makes light work of even the largest lawns. I had a couple of problems with mine cutting out and misfiring but the support is first class. i am currently waiting for a new coil pack and agreed to fit this myself being a mechanic by trade. Dont let this put you off for the money you wont find a better product and these things can happen with anything you purchase, whats most important is the support your offered with the product and as mentioned i rate it as first class. Only other very minor thing to mention is the fuel cap is fitted with a plastic retainer that stops you from loosing the cap, this can fall off and end up in the tank. No big deal if it does but i just removed mine and will make sure the cap stays close by so i dont loose it.
Overall despite a couple of problems that were quickly resolved, I am very happy with my purchase and would defiantly choose Hyundai again.
My daughter has a garden like a field and when she broke her elbow she needed a mower that she could use
She now cuts the grass every week and really enjoys it. She has the self propelled one
Our first petrol mower and very pleased. Easy assembly having watched the video first. Starts without fuss and easy to use. Can cut our front lawn in a quarter of the time it took our old electric mower. Light enough to easily go round trees etc in push mode and self drive mode makes easy work of larger areas.
Not easy to assemble and I am A mechanic Easy to start but when you engage the drive Eucaine bolt would not be able to keep up is there any way to slow it down.
This is defiantly the best lawnmower I have every purchased.
It is fantastic
Every my 10 year old grandson loves it, he has cut my grass 3 times in the past 2 weeks.
Takes a little figuring out how to fit the pull start stay – manual doesn’t match mower. Oddly, they recommend one oil, then supply a completely different one
The unit is heavy(ish) but I decided to purchase it all the same. The self propulsion would aid me no end.
Having used an electric mower for years, being busy with the faff of extension leads, moving the leads and plugging the dam plugs back in when I over extend…breath……I found this mower to be a back saver.
After the 15 minutes set up time ( I doubled checked everything) it was ready to go. After priming the mower started easily. The initial wheelies when engaging the propulsion was amusing. Things settled down within minutes.
The wheel trims, yes wheel trims are a pain in backside. A glance of a fence, tree or other obstruction and they come flying off.
The noise from the motor is only marginally more than the electric tethered beast but has an increased stomach capacity of 45l.
The only downside is the cost of petrol. I’m not a mathematician but the running cost of kWh Vs footsteps per gallon then kWh wins for now. Just!!
I bought the unit to help take compounded stresses of my herniated disc and it does exactly that.
As for longevity……..Time will tell..but kudos in the meantime.
Ideal for small gardens , drive speed could be a little faste
Needed a replacement for my 20 year old Honda Izzy which had served me well. Spent a great deal of time researching various makes and decided on a Hyundai which had excellent reviews and for the advertised price I’ve definitely made the right choice. Easily assembled, it’s a bit of a speed machine but the levers give you overall control, looks good and does a great job of cutting the lawn giving you the options of various height adjustments. Highly satisfied and highly recommend.
As an 81 year old using a heavy petrol driven self propelled mower for the past ten years this mower came as a relevation. Bad points first – Assembly instructions were not the easiest to follow especially as the small ringlet holding the start puller had changed and this was not reflected in instructions. Secondly there is no height adjustment on the operators handle bar. I am 5′ 8″ and after an afternoons mowing my back is aching. Anyone taller than me would have a problem. Good points – it is lightweight and I can use it as a push mower where I need to. It has a good cut and the grass cuttings do compress themselves neatly into the grass box reducing the need to empty frequently. The petrol tank is more than adequate for all my lawns (1/3 acre). I only received it at 1100 this morning and have completed all the lawns to my entire satisfaction. On this performance I can recommend this product.
I bought this for my husband after our Flymo burnt out tackling our front and back lawns. He found it easy to start and use and did both lawns in a fraction of the time it used to take with the Flymo, plus no annoying power and extension leads. So one happy husband and one happy me
Put together in less than 10 minutes, up and running in 15 after filling up oil and petrol.
Big plus (compared to my previous mower) is the “self propelled” power. “difficult” garden with some steep slopes, mower goes up kind of “alone” while maintaining great cutting. Have a large garden – 2h30 min mowing time on average and I was a bit worried by the smaller size of the collection bag than my previous mower but the power of the mower means that much more cuttings are compressed in the bag than I expected. Overall less interruptions and walk to the compost heaps than my previous mower that had a bag capacity 1/3 larger. Good value for money.
Decided to purchase a new petrol self propelled lawn mower as my electric hoover mower gave up the ghost. After doing some research, I opted for the Hyundai as had good review. Yes, I am pleased with it and it does the job nicely.
Assembly instructions were different to the instruction manual. Neither were the same as the actual mower and handlebar configuration. There was no indication in assembly or instruction manual where the big spring clip for the recoil cord went – on the manual it requires a hole in the bars that did not exist. Later found out via YouTube that had been replaced by a different type altogether. Due to weather haven’t used yet, but it looks good, hope its better than the instructions…….
This is a beast of a lawnmower, a bit expensive but worth every penny. I have a 30 x20 m “lawn” which was previously cut using a hover mower. This was half a days work so decided to upgrade to petrol. Went for a machine that was about 80 more than I intended but what a machine! Reasonably easy to assemble (some of the manual pics don’t match what you get) but started first time on pull of starter cord. On medium height setting it breezed through the slightly overgrown lawn, an absolute joy not having to push it over the hidden humps and bumps being self propelled. I have never seen so much cuttings produced before. At halfway not only was the bag full but it was compacted full. I did the lawn horizontally then vertically as well as doing a 7 x7 m drying green. Plenty of petrol left in the tank. An absolute pleasure to use, if a bit heavy especially when turning in tight corners. Verdict. Expensive but superb at what it does. Worth every penny. Highly recommend.
Bought my first petrol mower, and pretty easy to assemble and very easy to start (after holding wrong handle). Cord loop different to instructions but support good.
After a half hour all good and much more manageable
Set up the mower following the instructions which were nice and easy to follow. Video available to guide the set up. Allow the oil to settle before use. Comfortable handle. I look forward to keeping the grass under control.
Read through the instructions, easy enough to set up, and worked great. The self propelled function is a god send as i have a large garden and it tackled it with ease. Just took a bit of getting used to as iv only ever used electric ones. Wish i had bought it sooner! No fuss and does the job well
Unboxed and built within a few minutes.
The instructions stated to fill with oil to the line but it was hard to determine how much this should be.
Ideally would like explanation that said put in 300ml of oil, as an example.
Started on first pull of the chord.
Happy with cut and product.
Lawnmower took a little while to put together, but felt sturdy on completion.
Straightforward adding the oil supplied and adding fuel to mower. Easy to start with pull cord. Runs smoothly and not too loud. Cuts well and manages long grass with ease. Self propelling mower can run quickly, but if you gently push in he handle it moves at a suitable walking pace.
Only used a couple of times, but impressed so far.
Would recommend and have no complaints so far, would buy again.
Had a push mower for the last 12 years. Back was always sore pushing the thing around so took the internet and it seems this gets very good reviews. The reviews were accurate as this mower does it all, all I have to do is hang on. Cuts really well and simple to setup. Comes with 600ml oil with the machine holding 600ml oil lobbing the lot in. Once setup press the red button for the fuel on the front and pull the cord. Mine started straight away. Enjoyed mowing so much I have done it twice this week and used the mulching. Only issue is the handle is a little low, could do with it a little higher.
Excellent service getting updates from Amazons driver about delivery time, as I’m working away from home most days it’s difficult to make sure I’m around to receive a bigger parcel. Machine was easy to unpack and followed the clear instructions to assemble. Started first time and cut the lawn perfectly. Only issue for me is that it needs a lifting handle at the rear of the body to make it easier to carry and place the machine if needing to do so. As we have a terraced garden with concrete steps between the grassed areas, the only way to move from one area of lawn to the other is through muscle power. At 30KG+ it’s not a machine you can lift easily on your own without two handles either side of the machine body. There’s only one at the front !
Grass cutting was easy with the self propelling feature taking the donkey work out of it.
I’ve been after a petrol mower for a while, and after borrowing a friends Hayter i decided i needed one in my life full time! However i couldnt really justify 400+ for a weekend toy when Rishi has plans as yet untold for any disposable income, so off i went looking for a bargain – and it led me to the humble Hyundai.
First thing to note compared to an electric, proper mowers are heavy so if you have a slope you’ll need your petrol mower to be self propelled. I really struggled with my mates Hayter on my less than totally flat patch of green, but the Hyundai very happily pulled me along with it, making light work of everything i through its way. The bin is a very generous 45l too, which im sure i’ll fill up 10x when i give the lawn a proper trim, but for a weekly trim of the 100m2 area it only filled up once. I did the whole lawn in about 15mins, much much faster than the fried Bosch it replaced and a whole lot easier than my mates expensive Hayter!
Storage – you get the usual fold down handle, but alas no quick release levers, which even at this price point shouldnt be such a stretch is it? The bin as well feels flimsly – lots of plastic – so i’m hoping theres an upgrade available from Hyundai.
Final word on setup – it was a breeze. Super clear instructions ( or look at the box if youre stuck! ), fill up with a half of the supplied 4 stroke oil and some leas free fuel and youre away!
Overall 5* and I cant wait for the grass to grow!
Assembly is not particularly difficult but it does involve using scanners and adjusting cables which, due to poor instruction (use YouTube not the manual) it is a bit trial and error. Took a bit of time to get it just right but it all fits together and looks nice eventually. Very easy to use and cuts nicely. The handles is unscrewed for transit and stacked on top of the mower with no protection they are free to to move. They did and have put several scratches in the powder coating. It will scratch in time with natural use but a bit disappointing when brand new. The grip on the main handle is very comfortable but the drive handle and OHP handle are both just bare metal and as these have to be gripped to operate the comfortable handle is somewhat pointless. Overall I like it and would recommend it. It will interesting to see how it survives but a 3 year warrantee means they are confident. Appearance spoilt a little bit by all the stickers being wonky and having air bubbles and that lack of attention concerns me a little (if shoddy with what you can see what is the workmanship on the bit you can’t see – time will tell. I am being picky because overall I am pleased with the product. Padding on the OHP and drive handles, protection for the handles for transit and easier to put together would have made this the perfect product.
