Good for getting to the high up places on the bushes and conifers. Can get to places in the garden I couldn’t before. Saves climbing a ladder with the smaller ones. Good quality easy to assemble, with good balance. Look good and easy to get around the garden with them.
I have a lot of tall hedges to cut each year in beech, hornbeam and a mixed holly, Hawthorne and ivy nightmare one too. I have a heavyweight corded trimmer which is heavy and required steps to trim up high which is hard work. Thought I would give this cordless extendable a go. Despite the negative reviews about weight this is way lighter than my powerful Makita. Much easier and I can reach the top, on the sides at least of all of my hedges without need for steps. Doing the tops from steps is much easier and safer. Downside is that the blades are not overly powerful. Fine for light hedge material but don’t expect to easily cut through 1cm bits. Having said this, I expect to do lots of early cuts before tops get that big.
I USED THE HYUNDAI CORDLESS POLE HEDGE TRIMMER LAST WEEKEND WHEN CUTTING OUR BEECH HEDGE. IT MEANT THAT I COULD REACH THE WHOLE WIDTH OF THE HEDGE, STANDING ON MY LADDERS.
I WILL FINISH OFF THE INSIDE OF THE HEDGE WITH THE POLE HEDGE TRIMMER WITHOUT HAVING TO STAND ON LADDERS! THE TRIMMER IS NOT OVERLY HEAVY AND THE BATTERY HOLDS IT’S CHARGE SUPERBLY!
This hedge cutter is superb in every way, I literally can’t fault it, the battery lasts for ages, the angle for the blade adjust for every occasion, the blade is really sharp and cuts twigs and branches to the size of your fingers, also comes with a strap to go over your head to help relieve some of the weight, you will not regret buying this and at a price that’s incredibly low compared to some of the well known brands, perfect.

Trimmed my quite large hedge with ease.
My only problem was,I found it quite heavy for my 83 year old arms.
A younger person wouldn’t have any issues.
I brought this hedge trimmer as was paying a gardening fee of 80 each time they came to cut my back hedges. They did a good job , they are slightly heavier then my electric trimmers and not as powerful but still need a great job and these will pay for themselves in time
Quality is very good for a reasonable price. Works well but as with any extendable tool it gets heavier as time goes on but it is one of the lighter ones. Able to cut through fairly thick branches but not as thick as our handheld can manage. Battery life is excellent. Pleased with our purchase.
Telescopic battery powered hedge trimmer.
I’ve used a petrol powered equivalent and I’ve used a Sthil battery operated cutter. This Hyundai is much lighter than a petrol and it’s equal in quality and ability to the Stihl.
I’m not going to it’s light, because it isn’t, you’ll know you’ve operated it after 20 minutes of so. But if you want light weight then it probably means doing your hedge manually and that could take 5x longer.
I’ve had mine 6 months now and for price, quality and usefulness it’s spot on!
Got this to replace a Gtech hedge trimmer which although more powerful broke after a few small hedge trimmed. The Hyundai trimmer is robust and has a extendable handle and a good battery life. I will look at other Hyundai equipment when looking to replace
Simple to put together and standard charging
Poll extends ok but you need a little strength to keep it fully extended while you lock it out
Chest strap is very useful if operating for a long time due to the weight of the unit. Especially if fully extended.
The cutting blade is excellent but sounds under powered compared to a mains electric trimmer I have.
So far I have had no issues and it cuts great at any angle I choose
Battery life is excellent too
Overall very happy with this. I feel much better not wobbling on ladders trying to cut the tops of the hedges and bushes.

Before purchasing this cordless hedge trimmer I’d been using a corded trimmer and though more powerful, the mechanisms used to transfer power from the motor to the cutting head made it almost unuseable.
This, however is a joy to use. Lightweight, sturdy and NO POWER CORD – Fantastic!
I found the extension trimmer very useful to reach my high bushes. Charge held out very well indeed. Only gripe, and it appears a common one with these extendable trimmers is they are heavy to hold up when extended, even with the neck cord supplied. However I took my time and had several rests in between cuts.
First impression and use is it is great and does what it says it will.
Well made, easy to assemble and works a dream. Cuts like an electric worked cutter but without the hassle of a trailing lead and requiring a near bye power socket or extension lead gives this the thumbs up for us!
Good price and quality. Easy to assemble. Shoulder harness is essential as it is quite heavy. However I suspect that it is no different to other brands. Charger works well and is quick to re-charge.
Trimmer does what it’s supposed to do,blade nice and sharp,don’t know long it will stay sharp for yet.
Battery last quite a good amount of time used all day.
Great for those high bits the reach is good.
Update: now that I’m able to just go out and trim frequently it’s a great tool as my trees need frequent small trims rather than one big one. You do need some upper body strength for when it’s extended though
It’s not just the reaching out, doing a balancing act on steps, to cut difficult to get at shrubbery, which the telescopic pole allows, bur equally important, for me at least, is the ability to stand upright when cutting low hedging, when one gets older bending down, and then getting up again ain’t always easy. No more this quality Trimmer does everything I need and more.
Also worth noting is the comprehensive Instruction Maual.
In a time where its easier to put a few diagrams, but NO written instructions, is wonderful.
All clearly itemised,with written and photographic instructions, it makes such a very welcome changed.

Customer services we ok but kept asking the same questions on multiple emails. New battery delivered 10days after issue raised.
Trimmer now working fine and copes with most of my dreaded leylandi.
Having waited ages for a Bosch that has crazy long wait times, I thought I’d give this a try. It certainly does the job. It is a little weighty, but then I’m sure they all are. But gives a good cut and has a very impressive reach. The different angles for the cutting head works really well.
Best of all it has a 3 year warrantee and no need to register for it to apply. Why have I never bought a Hyundai product before! Sorry Bosch, might be switching my allegiance in the future…
