Science in action
This product works according to the principle that density of liquid changes along with temperature. The liquid in the main part of thermometer will become less dense when the temperature – and your amazement – rises. The brass tag on the lowest floating ball (from the top group) will show the temperature (between 18 and 26 degrees). You don’t need a degree in physics to use this remarkable object – all you need is the right place to put it.

Have wanted to get one of these for years and now I bought one
This is superb just a great produc
Fantastic gift and curiousity. Recipient delighted with it. Works very well. Relatively light for its size which is excellent, not too large and definitely not small.
Not only is it a thermometer but is also a lovely ornament. Well worth the money.
I bought this for a present and they absolutely loved it.
Obviously these are never going to be ultra accurate but are a good talking piece. Good value
I have wonted one of these for ages, bought one as a gift for my sister’s in law a number of years ago from a local shop – when I went back to get one for myself, there was none left. Really pleased that I saw it when browsing
My Daughter had 1 of these always fascinated me how they work, so bought this and am delighted, bigger than I thought well packaged, seems accurate as when I move it the floaters do move if hotter or colder spot. Treat yourself they are really pretty
I have had one for many years. My friends moved house so bought one for them. They love it.
This was a gift, for an elderly gentleman.
He was delighted to receive it. It appeared to be working straight away and he was impressed with its accuracy. Glad I chose ot for him!
Brought the item in December 2021 and now March 2022 the item is gad to be thrown away as one of the bubbles that float up and down has blown out and the recptical filled with orange dye and was not able to be used.
Mine takes a little movement to make the weights sink – mostly accurate though and a fair price
I didn’t think the room would get hot enough for all balls to drop. The we had a heatwave and down they went, so works OK. I would like the temperature range to start at a lower temp but I knew what I was buying. Looks good and was a reasoble price.
I am chuffed to pieces with my Galilao Thermometer, it’s a good size and I can read it across the room, I keep it on the window ledge, it gives a good average reading between inside and out, and all that see it love it, for the price I am very pleased indeed and it works once you lealn how to read it, took me a couple of days to work it out, highly recommended indeed..
