Arrived flat and relatively light to put in suitcase. Easy to assemble. Had to add some weights to the bags to stop it floating away, but good fun in villa pool!
Excellent product that can entertain the children for hours. However it was not used much due to it being too big for our 12ft pool. But it would be perfect used in a larger pool. The weight bags are a brilliant idea to hold it down. We put large stone in each.
My children use this for lots of games in the pool. The ball is smaller than expected. Even with the bags filled with water it still move around a lot. We put larger rocks in it to help and also tie on side of pool.
For what it is, we found this to be surprisingly good. It’s well thought with bags for weights that you can put on the bottom of the pool to hold it in place (our pool was quite narrow so we actually put the weighted bags on the sides which worked better for us). The ball it comes with is, as it looks, incredibly light – we used a slightly heavier ball, although bear in mind that when a heavier ball hits the net at speed the net isn’t always going to stop it. Had to tighten up the net a few times but was really impressed with how it held up, especially as it was most often used as part of an elaborate jump setup where by we had to get over it and onto some other inflatables (and invariably landed full on it quite frequently).
Took this on our holiday to Spain this year as a birthday present for my daughter. It arrived promptly. On inflation it had a span of approx. 4ft across and about 2ft high. The net was strung in place and we were good to go. We anchored it using large recycled 5L water containers rather than the little bags provided (I think you could fill them with sand). We chose to have the weights on the side of the pool so we could move it easily (for the smallest players to be in more of the shallow end), but they could have been dropped to the bottom of the pool and be hidden if you prefer. Everyone enjoyed this and we had lots of games and competitions. It stayed up all week, we lifted it out of the pool on the evenings. I would highly recommend this product.
BUY THIS FOR YOUR HOLIDAY Best thing ever. We had hours and hours of fun with this. Cheap as chips but has stood up to a lot of abuse. Would highly recommend
We didnt use the weight bags, we tied a bit of string on each end and attached to side of the pool so can’t comment on how they work
Took on holiday and was a great fun. Didn’t use the weighted bags just put something heavy on the strings by the side of the pool. Great for a villa pool. Wouldn’t go away without one now.
I liked the look of this when I first saw it but it was the reviews that really sold it to me – or the reviews sold me the idea that it was completely worth taking this across the water in my suitcase. We played it every day and it was a real highlight for our Aug holiday in Majorca. As there were 6 kids and 5 adults it made for a great afternoon’s championships when we got back to our villa after a morning/day out and about sightseeing. Highly recommend. The ball is a bit light and our pool was quite small (although standard size for a villa I think) so we did need someone to stand out on the terrace to run and get the ball … all the time but it didn’t detract from the fun. So glad we bought this. We bought an inflatable bed and took that too – you can easily buy them in Majorca but didn’t see this voleyball net anywhere.
This is a brilliant buy to take on your hols. It comes in a sturdy box approx 25.5cm X 23.5 cm and weighs in at approx 1200g so easy to fit into a case. We used it every single day of our hols for water volleyball tournaments. I managed to blow it up without the aid of a pump and tie the netting on within about 15 mins. It is well worth taking the time to get the weighting right for the pool you are going to use it in as even without the slightest breeze, just the circulation of the water, will make it drift. It would not be suitable for using in the sea! But once you’ve got that right you’re away. We took ours out of the pool at night and we were able to just plop the whole thing back in the pool when we wanted to play with it.
It is quite long and I would recommend that you consider the size of pool you want to use it in as it measures in at just over 2m plus obviously you need ‘playing’ space too. It is sturdy and we used it as a short tennis net once out of the pool on grass without any punctures.
Once you have inflated it you will think that there is absolutely no way you will get it back it the box! But you will! Two of us deflated it in about 30 mins, with some squashing and squeezing and rolled it up to go back into the box, no problem.
All in all I would say that, I know you can buy all manner of inflatable items once you’ve arrived at your destination, but this is definitely one to make remove in your case for.
Had great fun playing with this in the swimming pool with the family. Net has a bit of a tendency to move about so make sure you use plenty of pebbles and a long enough string!
Bought this to take on on holiday with us to our rented villa which had a private pool and it was well worth making room in the luggage for (doesn’t actually take up that much space). Using a foot pump (not provided) the kids got it blown up in no time. The fiddly bit came in attaching the net and then working out what to do with the anchors (2 bags attached to strings that you fill with rocks to weigh each end of the net down in the pool). They didn’t work that well IN the pool so we ended up having one on the side of the pool and the other end of the net attached by string to a chair on the other side. Apart from that it was well used throughout the holiday and provided hours of entertainment. We did pick up a puncture when manoeuvring it around (our fault) but the patch provided in the kit did a good job of fixing it. Well recommended at the price and we expect to use it for many years to come.
