Good set of solid steel balls. Very satisfied with the quality. They are very well packed in a strong case. I shall be taking them to Thailand as a gift for my brother – in – law. I can recommend this item.
I had been looking at Boule sets for quite a while and happened across this one. I have other products from Jacques of London over the years so I knew that what I would get would be very good quality and I was right. Yes the set is a little bit more money than others but it is worth paying for the quality alone.
We purchased this set of boules because a local community group has just created a boule/ptanque court and some friends have suggested that we try it out. We previously had a plastic set bought on holiday in France where we first saw boule played using handsome metallic balls. Hence, when I saw that similar ones were available from Jacques I opted for these. My choice was perfect: the boules are exactly what I remember and they appear to be totally rust-resistant. We look forward to trying them out.
The delivery was very prompt, arriving a day before I had been led to expect. I also rather liked the personal message from Joe Jacques thanking me for making the purchase.
This product had been used and the bags that the bowls come in where muddy. It looked like the set had been put together from other sets. So I left this review and thought nothing of it.
But the team at Jaques contacted me as this didn’t meet their typical high standards and went out thier way to resolve the issues. This is a great product and great customer service.
We had been promising ourselves some boules and these do not disappoint at all. Well constructed and the carry case is simple and efficient. Great all round. Would have been a resounding 5 had you added a second jack. I can see the one in the pack going walkabout pretty soon.
Bought as present for husband. Very well received (as he’d had on his wish list for a few years and had ‘given up hope’ apparently!). Looking forward to testing them out, probably when we next get down to the Studland coast. Lovely set – great quality and sturdy carry bag (although a shame one of the individual ball bags had a couple of holes in it).
Purchased as a gift a while ago, the recipient finally opened the box yesterday! Up to this point the order/delivery process had been efficient and problem free. All present at the birthday party gasped as the case holding the boules revealed each silver ball held in its own white draw-string bag! A terrific present which made everyone smile … a French game by a London company with a French name! Top class! So you see … sometimes you have to wait for a good review!
Generally a really good product and very happy.
The boules themselves are a good weight and size for adults and children.
The plastic divider in the bag is a bit flimsy – ours arrived broken in transit, but to be honest, its so insignificant to the overall package, we haven’t bothered returning it.
