Nice high copper purity cable. Good sound quality! Not too stiff considerign that its 12 AWG. I would recommend it.
very easy to use, very soft material but high quality and do not intend to tear and wear,
everything else like in the description,
don’t look more for speakers cable, buy those.
Purchased to setup some new speakers. The cable is nice and flexible, full copper and good quality. It was very easy to work with and get everything setup. Incredibly good value compared to some of the “named brands”.
I have just purchased a Denon RCD-M41DAB Micro System and the cable given was not long enough for where I position my speakers, so I purchased this cable as it was suitable for 6 ohms speakers. The Denon product was super even listening with the supplied cable, but when you add the Javex cable it takes it to another crystal clear level. However, this cable is very thick and the Denon connection holes were small in comparison and I had difficulty fitting the cable in, but I got there and it is well worth the effort. I am sure that some of the other amplifier manufacturers might have larger connections, but do your homework first as I did not. This is a high quality product and highly recommended and I am glad I purchased it.
Used for home cinema room, didn’t care about the price some cables are really, REALLY expensive but typical me I liked the name and the look of the cable lol. Turns out it’s very nice stuff, feels premium and the sound quality is great. Used with Kef speakers
Excellent value for money. Used for my new wharfedale 5.1.2 surround sound setup and excellent results. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic quality cable. I wish I had purchased this sooner. I am always trying to better the sound on my system which I primarily use for vinyl. I have made lots of upgrades to my system with a new cartridge recently which made no difference. I almost gave up until I read a great article on speaker cables, and after checking realised mine were incorrect for the OHM of my speakers, so thought I would give it a go as compared to some of the crazy prices quoted for speaker cables this was very reasonable. Anyway I changed one speaker first and simply turned the balance, you can clearly hear the difference and even my wife commented and she thinks I’m bonkers! Has improved the sound of my system hugely for such a small cost. I recommend anyone looking to improve the sound of your system, make sure your using the correct cable for your speakers. Top marks.
just re-wired my surround sound speakers, after replacing my AV Receiver, and I am amazed at the quality of this cable, thicker copper stranded cable but not as bulky as my previous cable i was using, meaning it was easier to hide via the cable conduit i had already installed in my man Cave.
I also liked the simple and very easy to see red line on one of the cables to ease the task of getting the correct cable to the correct terminal ( + & – )
I would definitely highly recommend this cable, and if needed would buy again.
just when i thought things could not get any better, I managed to get this on a lightening deal at 23.99 for 100ft.

~~~~~~~~~ Cosa mi ha colpito ~~~~~~~~~
Li ho usati per il mio impianto, per collegare i due frontali a torre , le due casse posteriori ed il centrale, il sinto-amplificatore un sony, vecchiotto ma che ancora si difende discretamente con il suo DTS che connetto in ottico.
I cavi avendo una discreta sezione si fermano facilmente nelle prese delle casse e dietro lo stereo ed essendo morbidi si prestano ad essere serrati, si adattano bene alle canaline visto la morbidit del cavo e offrono un suono senza nessun problema, assolutamente di qualit!
Sono rimasto colpito proprio dalla bont dei materiali, che per un prodotto simile decisamente tutto
~~~~~~~~~~~~ Conclusioni ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Really good quality wire, when unreeling it, it lays flat so no tangling up whilst wiring the speakers! Very thick insulation too, BUT… Black and blue are very similar in colour though so could be quite hard to differentiate between the 2 colours for some people.
This is very nice cable indeed. The silicon like insulation is nice and thick and easy to strip. The wire inside is very good as well and maintains a bend/fold.
Would recommend this to anyone looking for decent quality speaker cable without the need to extend your mortgage to pay for it.
I cannot tell the difference between this and some costing a shed load more. Don’t get pulled into the Audiophile ‘snake oil’ realm…..Nuff Said 🙂
Used these on a denon system which I use for producing audio on. I moved the speakers apart as id just added a 3rd monitor and had to purchase extra cable. Id previously had super expensive cable which in paid about 30 for 2 meters. I can hoestly say that although I was wary about purchasing a new cable cheaply, the sound hase actually improved. This may because ive put my speakers on stands but there seems like there is more detail in the sound and the bass is nice and punchy.
The wires have a Premium feel to them. You wouldn’t think that tehy are sokd at the price. The insulation was thick but supple, and easy to cut and strip. I used them both with banana plugs and screwed to the back of a speaker and i had no problems with both times. Definifely will recommend.
Great quality and the square shape makes it easier to work with, with my setup. I like to put the speaker wire into plastic casing rather than have it on show in the corners of my room. And for this it’s perfect.
It appears great quality. I’m using it on my Sony 1080 AVcreceiver and Wharfedale Diamond 9 speakers.
It’s surprising how many feet of wire you go through when running down the wall, along Skirting board and back up to receiver. So be sure to measure accurately then add about 10%. And don’t forget banana plugs or spades, and wire cutters if you need them!
I’m using this both with my vintage amplifiers and also with my surround sound TV system and speakers.
Quality is good and the length you get on the reel is very handy. Much easier as it comes on a reel compared with buying it loose.
There is not a great deal else I can say about it other than this feels the right balance of quality and value for money.
You can spend a small fortune on AV cables but I think much of the time that is snake oil. This, however, is perfect for my needs and the sound quality I am getting across all of my AV equipment that is using it is very good indeed. No complaints.
This is a great quality speaker wire for the price. I needed some Pure Copper Wire that was OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) that was under the 20 mark and this was perfect. Came on a reel in it’s own box and could tell it was a nice quality product.
My partner kept saying he wanted some wire to do the man shed out with as speakers was not long enough. This is a large quantity of copper wire . He said it’s easy to work with and a great thickness . The sounds really good . He said he would buy this again .
14AWG x 250ft
I have a 5.1 setup with presence speakers i.e. two extra fronts higher up. I have a smallish living room (about 4m x 4m) with the rear wire going up and around a door frame and estimate I’m using around 45m. This would possibly be 55m if I had a 7.1 setup with the extra front pair at the back. This 250ft or 76.25m is therefore adequate for myself with quite a bit left over for a substantially larger room. (Front speakers wouldn’t take that much more length but the rears would). The cable has a cross section of 8mm x 4mm making each strand 4mm x 4mm.
The cable comes as a pair of square cross sections that I did’t find any issues with and perhaps would make easier alignment of other cables that are square although they wouldn’t allow for a kind of hexagon arrangement. Essentially, these perhaps would take up more space in trunking but be easier to organise. The two strands are easy to separate by hand so that could be a good or bad thing depending on your opinion. I might prefer a knife or scissors to separate them to they only get split as far as you want and don’t end up getting split any further. However, they do require a bit of force to separate them.
There is indeed a big black stripe along one strand as can be seen it the photos so it’s easy to identify polarity. There is also writing every foot or so on the same strand.
The cable is pretty flexible so is easy to route around tight corners and I didn’t feel I was damaging the cable in the process as I have found with other cables.
In terms of sound quality, I previously had some already good quality wire that had been extended and extra speakers added so it was nice to redo the wiring all round with appropriate lengths and no joins. I noticed no difference in sound quality so I’m happy that this is doing its job.
A great value speaker cable. The wire itself is nice and thick. The coating is highly flexible but substantial enough to provide a good level of protection.
There’s a lot of guff talked about the quality of speaker cables and ultimate audio quality, but basically this cable gives a solid connection from my amp to speakers without excessive impedance.
Recommended.
This speaker wire is thicker than the wire I usually use to connect my amplifier to my speakers. Separating the wire and connecting it to my amp/speakers was still relatively easy though.
The distance between my amp and speakers is only around 2 metres, so thicker speaker wire isn’t strictly necessary but I thought I would give it a go to see if it had any positive impact on the sound coming from my speakers. Admittedly, I’m no audiophile, but I can’t notice much difference. This may be due to the relatively short distance between my amp and speakers though, so I think any sound differentials would be more noticeable over longer connection distances.
Saying all this, I’d definitely recommend this speaker wire to anyone as it does the job required at a reasonable price.
I love the square profile of the speaker wire, it makes cable management around my home a lot easier as I can just use double sided tape to stick it down and it sit flush to my floor board. The Clear cable is a bit rigid so if you are trying to fit it through small openings and sharp turn it will take some effort. I find it bend a lot easier if you gently heat it a little, I found that out when I try to put some heat shrink on.
My gauge measure 1.7mm when twisted so 14 gauge is correct, colour of the end cuts is copper gold which to me is always a good sign. In terms of it performance ….. Wire is wire and if it is for 8 oms speakers I doubt human can hear the difference between any 1.7mm copper wires. I save that for the super human hearing who can tell if it is a 100 cable or not. For another review I read on this product, if it cuts out then either there is a break in the cable or your amp is faulty, get a multi meter and measure the resistance from end to end. There is nothing wrong with the cable.
If you find my review at all helpful please consider pressing the “helpful” button below. Many thanks
This is very heavy. That’s a warning before you start. A drum arrives in a box which is deceptively small, and then you go to pick it up and realise you need to bend your knees first. OK, slight exaggeration, but this is a quality bit of cable. As you can see from the images, the one I bought has a square profile and is covered in clear plastic. It splits very easily and with no danger of exposing bare wires in the process. Once split you can differentiate between the two halves (which you need to do when wiring to get the phase correct) because one has a black line running down it.
I was fortunate enough to get this for free as a review sample, and my initial thought was that it was ridiculously expensive – but it isn’t. There are about 77 metres of cable on here and it works out at around 1.10 a metre, which is cheap as chips for something so thick. In fact the only downside to this is the fact that it’s as long as it is, because most people will not need 77 metres of speaker cable!
I have wired this up to a pair of Kef Carina speakers, and a Rotel amplifier. Previously I had it wired up using two core electrical cable which I bought in the 1980s from a hardware store. It’s like I’d unravelled a ten foot long copper coloured coathanger. Can I hear a difference? No, of course I can’t! It’s wire, and wire is wire and don’t let anybody else tell you any differently. Unless you’ve been connecting your speakers up using the nasty stuff that you run along a skirting board to a doorbell then they’re all exactly the same. HOWEVER… what is excellent about this is the fact that unlike my electrical cable, which had to be bent and moulded into shape to get it to go where I wanted, this is lovely and soft and floppy, and it looks good.
It does the job, it doesn’t affect the sound quality (BECAUSE IT’S WIRE! IT CAN’T!) and it’s excellent value.
I just got myself a new Yamaha HiFi and speakers and used this cable to hook up the speakers.
The cable seems well made and also looks the part with a black stripe down the side of one cable identifying the Negative (make sure you don’t mix up the plus and minus to different speakers or the sound won’t be central – phasing effect).
The cable is pretty easy to strip and yes it works.
This is well made cable. I’ve seen a lot in my many decade career that claim to be Oxygen-Free high purity copper, yet aren’t. We have very sophisticated lab equipment at work and this product performs! At 14-gauge you should be limiting the current to absolutely no more than 20 Amperes (ideally 15A). In a car or audio room this is a great cable for a Bass (sub)Woofer. Our tests where with Wharfedale PSX115 and Q Acoustics 3070 and Wharfedale and Bose combined speakers with internal active splitters. The quality of the sound through this cable at a 15m length each was superb. I have absolutely no hesitation of saying this is a quality cable that has been manufactured to very high standards. Hands down this is a high recommendation. Andrew
This is about the third roll of this stuff that I’ve bought and I’m getting ready to buy another one as I move on to the next project of wiring several lighting accessories on my son’s Jeep. This wire is soft and flexible and is holding up well on my other projects.
I have speakers in various areas of my house from floor to ceiling and some of the existing cable was getting worn so i tried this wire.
The cable is made from high quality oxygen free copper which ensures my sound is pretty much the highest i can get whilst the sheathing on the cable is flexible and protects the copper well. Running the cable in to replace my old cabling was simple and the overall effect of the sound is great.
Overall a well priced speaker wire with high quality results
I have been sent this in 12 gauge (2.06 mm), which is quite a hefty size cable and far superior to the typical thin speaker wire generally encountered. It is a good quality cable, however the cable casing is transparent so the copper wire is very evident, not something that is easy to conceal in this size, but if that is not an issue there is nothing against this.
Needed this for my husband’s aged old stereo and speakers. The wire from the speaker to stereo is fairly short, so it limits where you can put the speakers. This speaker wire is really good quality and you get 100ft which is a great amount. The sound quality through the speakers is much better than the old wire we were using and has vastly improved the whole ‘playing vinyl’ experience!
I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme. Top quality audio wire, heavily shielded, flat section with one marked wire. Excellent pure copper, easy to crimp connectors to, no problem in tinning or soldering.
Currently retailing at 29.99 for 100ft, I think it’s worth the price: it’s a bit dearer than average BUT it’s better quality than average. 5 stars.
This is a reel of transparent, solid, thick cable at fair price. I wanted it for rear speakers in a new surround sound system. Cutting the ends and twisting was easy and so was inserting them into the speaker sockets. The only issue I had was securing the whole run of cable. I will need to buy some specific cable ties to the skirting boards. Was hoping to staple but there’s a risk of shorting IMO if not very careful. Small risk, but I prefer not to. Sound wise I haven’t noticed any specific issues. It’s hard to judge without a direct comparison. I did compare to the front run of cable, to the front left and right speakers. This is way more expensive QED branded. I couldn’t hear any differences when wired for stereo and running my turntable, but likely not a fair test. Rear speakers things are less sensitive and I think this wire is entirely fine for that purpose. All in, am happy and with a good sized reel like this you don’t have to skimp on getting the ideal layout for your room.
I think most experts are agreed that for runs upto 100 feet that thinner 16 guage wire is sufficient, but I think that for the slight extra cost it is worth getting thicker 14 guage. This is a good example of that. Still flexible enough to work with and no compromise of signal. All at a very reasobale price. Recommended.
I received the 14 gauge wire 250m reel and I’m very happy with it. I had a good look at the cut ends and it’s definitely solid copper. The cable sheathing is very flexible and there is a black line running along one side of the cable to help with polarity. I tried this cable on my home stereo and couldn’t hear any discernible difference compared to much more expensive cable.
Easy to strip, flexible with good sound at a good price equals five stars!
Great quality wire.
Quite thick! So was tricky feeding around a car. But this was totally the right choice for me.
The pictures are of one of my car doors where you can see the wire running around.
And the other is the runs to the amp (with a couple more wires)
They feel highly durable and easy to crimp connectors on!
Great cable for the price, pure copper not plated and good thickness.
