Directions for First Use:
Wash the sponge thoroughly before first use. Add a small quantity of bath foam and massage your body with circular moves. After use remember to rinse the sponge thoroughly and gently squeeze the water out and dry the sponge. Sea sponges are not meant for Strength Testing :), hence should not attempt to pull it apart.
Periodic Care:
1) Rinse the sponge under cold running water.
2) Soak the sponge into a bowl with water and vinegar or baking soda solution to a 10:1 analogy, and leave to soak for 8 hours.
3) Remove it from the bowl and squeeze it to remove excess liquid.
4) Set out to dry on a clean surface, such as the bathtub, or hang out to dry using the hanging cord.
5) Use again. The sponge should be as good as new.
Important Note: SHAPE, COLOUR, and SIZE
Due to the natural origin of the sea sponge, there might be instances where the sponge you receive slightly varies in shape and/or color shade from those presented in pictures. Rest assured however that you have made the right choice since all our products are of excellent quality. Please note that Sponges are often cut from bigger pieces, this does not reduce their durability or quality. Sizes are Approximate.
Quick Tip:
The product comes with a hanging cord which will be particularly useful for hanging and drying your honeycomb sponge. Drying your sponge is essential in order to prolong its life and maintain hygiene.

I used to use a flannel before buying this sponge, but the flannel was difficult to hold and to get a good lather on. I really like this sponge. It does not rip either like an artificial sponge. It feels great too on your skin. Lovely and soft when using it in the shower. I would recommend it and would buy again.
Used on my toddler and it’s super soft and great for washing!
Ordered a large size and was pleasantly surprised to receive a really good sized sponge with secure roap attached for hanging.

Not sure what I was expecting from this but bought this instead of replacing by usual plastic bath puff. Once wet it’s nice and soft – has a sponge like texture. Cleans well, doesn’t have any smell.
I used this in my shower and found it holds water well and is soft on my skin. I would however, have liked it to be on a long handle to wash my back

This sponge is great for the bath or shower. I purchased a large sponge, but I think next time will purchase a bigger one. Still a nice size, lovely on the skin.
This sponge when dry feels like it could be a little rough to use but in fact it is not at all, and it’s so much nicer to use than a plastic shower pouf. It dries quickly, feels soft and works really well. I would recommend.
I bought this for my 7 year old to be able to wash himself as he has sensory issues with touching flannels.
It worked! He can soap himself down and feels more grown up now.

Lovely sponge. Not too large and therefore easy to use in the shower. Great that it has a cord to hang when not in use (although easy enough to add to any other sponge, if required).
This natural sea sponge arrived within a couple of days in. Nice box. The sponge has a string loop so it can be easily hung up to dry. The sponge is lovely and soft and lathers up shower gel easily. I’d buy one again as it’s so lovely to use.

This is the second sponge I have purchased as a gift to a friend as they are so good.
As a family we had loofahs when I was growing up (1940’s & 50’s onwards) – no idea where they came from, but dad was in the merchant navy. Long ones, that went hard when dry, and we never understood why. I’ve been buying sponges for ages, then had a light bulb moment – what did we do as kids? Loofahs! So I ordered one, it arrived promptly and I followed instructions of soaking etc. My next bath was down memory lane. Certainly better than sponges, looks tidy in the bathroom with it’s hanger (better than when I was little, just left on the end of the bath). As my mum & dad used to say – have you had a good proper scrub? Todays answer the same as then – yes, and felt better for it.

I can’t believe I never thought to buy a natural sponge. I guess I sort of thought it was a grown-up thing that I’d suddenly have, and it would be nice, but I should make do with effectively a dish sponge. But I am not a dish. And it’s doesn’t break the bank to smear a rich lather of soap on myself every day using a sponge that’s so soft and cooking that the first time I took it out the packet, I just stood fully clothed in the kitchen dabbing my face with it having slightly moistened it in cold water. This sponge will improve you life.
Every time I get in the shower I think ‘I must review this on Amazon’

This is the best sponge – ever!!
It smelled a little funky when it arrived and sand came out when I rinsed it.
Nothing unexpected, it’s from the sea.
I’ve been using it daily since it arrived & it just keeps getting softer and more wonderful.
I bought a smaller one to take on holiday.
That’s just as gorgeous.
I have three now, different sizes.
I always rinse and hang the sponge up after use.
It dries happily and there’s never any dodgy smell like some sponges I’ve had in the past.
Also, no nasty plastic stuff going into the ocean.
Haven’t used sponges for years but this seems good as long as you dry it between uses
Why should my baby sons get to use a natural organic sponge I asked myself and I use a plastic scrub?
Not anymore, makes my shower gel go further, better all round, for me, the environment and supports local farmers. Never going back to plastic and cheap horrible supermarket sponges that smell!
I have replaced my loofah’s with this sponge. It lasts a long time and doesn’t get moldy. Since it is a natural sponge I do have to check it for rocks/coral that is inside it. It is easy enough to work the rocks out while showering. Highly recommend using this product.
I love my natural sponge. It is great quality. Natural. And really soft and gentle on skin. Yes it’s pricey but that’s because it’s a natural item. These sponges last a long time, unlike those synthetic and often horrible textured unnatural sponges that fall to pieces within weeks. I love the texture of a natural sponge. The sponge is naturally antibacterial too. So a great buy for me. I got the small sponge as it’s ample for use in the shower for washing all over the body. Thoroughly recommend.
The sponge does smell quite strongly of the sea to begin with, however, this is starting to fade.
I’ve been using it daily for a few weeks now. It’s soft and appears durable, I’m hoping it will last for a long time and I may update this review at a later date to report back on durability.
I did receive a sponge with a flat edge, which may not look aesthetically pleasing, but it is absolutely fine to wash with. The rope is useful to hang it up so it can dry out after use.
I bought the large size, which fits nicely in my hand. I think any smaller would be more suitable for a child.
