Using the cable from GPU to the monitor, works well. No complaints. The seller contacted me to check what i wanted to use it for so that i got the right verson. Happy with the seller and the cable.
Came packaged really well, ensuring the wire didnt bend. Plugged in and got great picture. Just got so we will see if it lasts more then three months unlike my other one. But so far very impressed.
As described in the title, seller was also quick to contact to ensure I was aware of its unidirectional capability.
Would recommend purchasing this item for its quality from this seller because of their great customer service
Updated review (1->4 stars!)
I assumed this cable had an issue as it made the screen look extremely white, like contrast too high. The picture was nowhere near as good as my display port cable plugged into same PC + monitor.
I’ve since found out that if you use Intel UHD 630 embedded graphics, like I was, and you use a DP->HDMI adapter with the 630, you can get this issue, i.e. its not the cable actually. The trick to get the contrast issue sorted was to set the video to, get this, 59.94hz exactly, and not 60hz. Then the RGB range/contrast over HDMI looked identical to the DP cable.
So I am keeping this cable now and changed my rating from 1 to 4 stars as it does the job, feels decent quality and is a good length for the money. My only concern is it feels hotter than my other DP->HDMI adapter.
Original review below:
Cable felt decent quality on arrival. However, while I get a picture (from HP PC display port to LG monitor HDMI input), the contrast is crazy altered – the whole picture looks bleached and frankly terrible compared what its meant to be. There’s something wrong with this cable and I shall be returning it.
Not a flimsy cable and it looks reliable if you know what I mean. It’s worth shelling out a little more to get a good product. I will report back if it blows up and I have to eat my words.
Looks to be a really nice cable with very good quality. The display quality was excellent, unfortunately, the longevity wasn’t as good. I bought it in May, it died in December so just be aware that you may not get the kind of life you are looking for.
Replaced with a cable from a different vendor but they are probably all made in the same factory anyway!
EDIT Jan 21 – Reached out to JSAUX and they offered to refund or replace without quibble. So on that basis I will increase to a 4 sta
This is more than long enough to reach from my pc to our TV.
1.8m wasn’t long enough, so I searched for a 3m cable, and this is perfect.
2.5m would have probably been fine but there isn’t many out there at that size.
I like the material on the cable, the cable is coated, but the coat isn’t metal so you can be sure your wall won’t get scratched.
I’m not sure what the material for it is, but I really like it.
Everything is accurate to the picture.
One thing that isn’t really an issue about the product, but about it’s packaging, is that it came in an unnecessarily big box.
I think a large letter parcel would have been fine, but that’s not a huge issue.
But I do recommend this if you are looking for a long display port (DP) to HDMI cable.
