I find this product works very well, as long as you’re careful with application and timing. It can leave a very natural look that lasts a number of weeks. I left it on a bit too long once so it was more noticeable that I’d used a dye, but that was my error.
Overall great for the price and I’ll be using this indefinitely to hide my greys. It even works in my beard!
Great value for money, easy to use can’t tell if you’ve dyed your hair or not as it looks natural, if you have a bald spot though I would get a wet cloth after applying and wipe the bald spot until skin goes back to skin colour otherwise you will end up with dyed skin then it you can tell you’ve dyed your hair.
I use this on my brows as it’s cheaper then brow dye. It’s perfect! A little goes a long way and the results are the correct shade and last for quite some time.
Edit : Lasted exactly 4 weeks before the grey started popping through agai
The white hairs only really appeared on the sides, and I wasn’t looking for total dyed coverage, but more to tone down the patches. The instructions are easy to follow, and the packaging promises up to 6 weeks of colour. I typically wash my hair twice a day. The advice is to cover your hair line and ears with Vaseline or the like, to prevent dying your skin. I wish I took that advice, rather than having to scrub my ears raw after.
The effect was immediate, and I was really pleased. There was one stray hair I missed, but I can handle the odd white hair. It blended in well with my natural black hair, as I was worried I might end up with patches that looked like tar stained black. Overall the effect was very natural.
After a few days, I noticed an area that was previously populated with a few white hairs started to lighten up. Nothing too worrying, but noticeable to my own critical eyes.
I caught up with friends I hadn’t seen in 4 years after a week and one asked me if I dyed my hair, before inspecting my head. A couple of white hairs showed through, and she was satisfied that I was still au natural but was impressed at how few white hairs I had. This was the exact look I was going for, so overall I’m pretty pleased. I used about a quarter of the tubing, so figured the tube itself would easily last 6 weeks, but each application maybe a week or two.
Happy overall and will likely continue to use. At least until the whole of my head decides to age.
Great product. Extremely easy to use and doesn’t smell bad.
Just screw the comb guide onto the tube and away you go, no need to mix anything together and little waste.
I’ve bought this multiple times to cover greys on my sides, I have naturally black hair that I keep cropped so don’t really need a lot of dye. I get about 3 uses out of one tube.
However, the only down side is that it does make my hair extremely dry. To the point where oils/product doesn’t really penetrate my hair it just sort of ‘sticks’ on top of my hair.
The comb attachment makes this much easier to use than others I’ve tried. Chose sandy blonde as the colour shown looked closest to my eyebrows and it was pretty much bang on, despite never having been blonde in life. Results were very good as it seemed to keep the tones of my hair but change the colours from salt and pepper to shades of blonde and brown. Says on the pack that the colour lasts up to 8 weeks. To be fair it probably does, but I’m ordering my 3rd pack in 3 months as my roots cone through about every 4 weeks. Only criticism would be you don’t get much in a pack. My hair is a little short of shoulder length, And I have to squeeze the last bit out of the tube. If you’ve got long hair you’ll definitely need more than one pack. Oh and the gloves are rubbish, but they always are!
This product is useful for men or women for root touch up. They could probably market it very effectively as a unisex product. I would never have thought of buying it. But a friend recommended it. This is my first time buying it on Amazon which was very handy. I’m trying a darker colour. The box I’ve already used was very
“handy”. Differs greatly from any ladies hair dyes which I’ve used so far as it can be
REUSED. Tube of dye can be kept and used again. So from that point alone. Good value. Also doesn’t require mixing.
Worth the bother for some root areas. Spray on touch ups only last one night.
This tube comes supplied with a little comb attachment that screws onto the tube and plastic gloves. No fear of overdoing it either. Only requires ten minutes and doesn’t keep darkening. Really great for inbetween colour. Can only speak for myself everyones hair is different. But can just be combed in before you wash your hair. It’s a semi permanent product as described.
Followed the instructions and I’m really impressed with the result, does it remove all whites/greys, no, but then it doesnt claim too, but what it does do is take the obviousness out. Now there’s a small hint of grey, and it really isn’t noticeable/stand out as before.
We all know the jokes of just for men being for 60 year olds with jet black hair poorly dye’d. But this isn’t the case anymore, I’m happy with the results and now can stop thinking “what does this person think of all my grey hair on the side” when meeting new people/customers at work, the mental benefits outweighing the physical ones.
Couple of points to note…
– This product lasted 4 uses over 8 weeks. (Reapplied every 2 weeks)
– First time I used it, I only left it on for the stated time. It covered most but not all the grey. Was a bit disappointed tbh. 2 weeks later I Reapplied and this time left it on for longer (25 mins). Results were much better.
– 2 weeks later Reapplied successfully again
– When I last applied few days ago, using up the last of the product, I again noticed that it did not cover as well after 15 mins… So I am left wondering if I should have used more that first time and definitely left it on for longer… all in all I have placed a new order for some more of the same product and I will aim to use more and it last for 3 applications rather than 4!
This is a product to use if yo are going grey, rather than grey. Just wash your hair so its not greasy, let it dry and then comb this in. Wash it out in the shower with water . It wont stain your hands or bath too much. Its mostly for the sides where grey is most visible. But you can comb it in t where you like. It does actually work and your hair is darker and considerably less grey. It lasts about 4 weeks but the key is to just wash your hair with water so ts not too dry . If you are anxious about using peroxide dye for the first time this is a great introductory product to get used to for what is to come. I like it.
Been going grey, thanks to my dad’s hereditary genes since I was 18, and after dying my hair fit the first time back them with a cheap branded products the ribbing from my friends was greater than having the grey hair.
10 years later and the new Mrs is keen for me to look 28 rather than 48! (I know right)
Tried a couple of other just for men products and now been using this one for the past 6 months, it’s very easy to apply using the comb applicator, and covers the whole head with ease. No mixing or shaking or messing around just screw the cap on and comb straight through. Auto shut off after 10 minutes so that your hair doesn’t go too dark and this subtly blends in with my own hair colour without changing the colour of the rest.
Only four stars as my hair is normally quite short, and I did find when it was a little bit longer I struggled to stretch the solution through all my hair comfortably.
