Really well put together cables. They feel solid . Sound quality is very good for the price and easily rivals some much more expensive brands .
If you have invested in expensive hi fi equipment these cables will certainly not be detrimental to your sound.
I’m very much of the opinion that beyond a point cables don’t matter, however these are a reasonable price and seem to be good quality. I previously had some reaaaally cheap and nasty RCA cables which I don’t think had any sort of shielding and was getting buzzing on my record player, these have completely fixed it.
Very good cable, you can see the quality. Works well for me. Great price, too.
Brilliant item and value for money..very strong and good quality
Used to get audio from my monitor to speakers and they do the job just perfect. The sound quality is just as clear as my XLR connections.
They make great cables and speaker we are conectors ect cannot go wrong German built quality cables highly recommend
had to move my turntable about 5 meters from the pre-amp this product provided the necessary connection I needed to hear tunes again.
These are well made, and should not impair sound quality.
Does what is expected with no noticeable loss in sound quality.
I bought this cable to replace a recent well known branded 4m RCA subwoofer cable that didn’t seem to perform well. No subwoofer LFE output from the amplifier, so RCA it had to be.
5m is a long RCA cable, to eliminate loss and interference, good shielding and low capacitance was essential. The connectors are well made, and fitted snuggly to my amplifier and the subwoofer terminals. The cable and outer sleeving has a good quality feel to it.
I was totally surprised how well this cable performed, really tightening up the bass, clarity and allowing far more accurate tuning of gain and frequency to match my stereo speakers.
I bought the acclaimed branded cable I replaced new when I purchased my Dali subwoofer last year. My only regret is that I didn’t ditch it much earlier for this one. All other cables in my system are QED. Cables really do matter, even subwoofer ones if your system is half decent.
It’s 5 stars from me, highly recommended based on performance, especially at this affordable price.
Build quality of the cables is very good and they don’t cause issues with distortion , hum or hiss . Overall they are great quality for the price and they are very good cables for connecting preamp to amp.
Another good point is that there isn’t any wasted spend on unnecessary packaging, supplied in a poly bag with simple contact card
When I need more I will be buying agai
Connects very positively, nice weight cable and looks handsome.
It’s always hard to compare any changes leads make to hi-fi sound, unless you go from cheap cable to the best, then you will hear a difference.
These cables convey a positive, full sound but how much better they are than my previous cables is hard to say.
I certainly wouldn’t want to pay more than this and frankly I’m not sure my ears would detect and dramatic difference between these and massively expenses.
These cables are of good quality I used them to connect backing tracks from my player to my mixer at gigs. No noise clear sound and for the price I am very happy ith them. They are built to last.
I’ve just treated myself to the Ifi Zen Phono (review forthcoming) and I was using my old faithful Amazon Basics interconnects to connect it to my amplifier. It sounded really good, but I knew the Zen had more to give.
Having bought Kabeldirekt speaker cable in the past and am very pleased with it, especially for the money, I thought I would try their Pro Series RCA cable. Hooked them up and……there it was!!! Instantly I could hear increased signal, the highs were more pronounced, but not at the cost to reduced bass response. These cables are very well made, and having spent 35 on Audioquest Evergreen leads before, I can honestly say that these German made cables have them beat!!
Since getting my vintage record player and amplifier about 10 years ago, I have been using a pair of old RCA cables that my dad had kept from years ago. I always thought that the slight hum you could hear in my setup was always going to be there, and I resigned myself to the fact that maybe there was an issue with grounding or something like that. After listening to a record for the first time in a while the other day using my headphones, I noticed the sound was moving from one ear to the other and was crackling badly when I fiddled with the RCA cables, so I went online and purchased these KabelDirect ones to replace them. I fitted them once they arrived and lo and behold, the dreaded hum I had grown so used to was gone!
They fitted onto my setup easily with a little push (my old ones felt very loose and moved around a lot – not like these new ones. They feel quite secure). The cable is quite short (1M) but my turntable and amplifier sit right next to each other, so no issue there – I probably could have gone even shorter to be honest). They feel very nicely made, with tough rubber and good quality metal. There’s a small red line to indicate the right side input which is useful and a little more stylish and less glaringly obvious than I completely red one like my old cable.
I am really pleased with my purchase and I kind of wish I had bought new RCA cables sooner!
Breathed new and exciting life into an old but high end Denon DF100 system comprising of CD and tape Deck and the rare Minidisc deck… All into the Amp/Receiver. Also used for the DAC Into the AUX Input(which was the reason for my first purchase of this cable) coupled with the well known WiiM Mini steamer (optical input) and we have a very fine system. IMHO no need to spend silly money on these interconnects unless your system is circa 100000+ excluding speakers.. But for well made systems under 4k circa 1990+ they work very well indeed.
Flexible, decent shielding, and good sound, even before burn in period.
However, those RCA connections can be very tight on some devices… I really have to put some welly into it and wrestle them off.
I don’t find them tinny, they seem suitable for all purposes including LFE output to subwoofers.
Excellent value.
This was a decent purchase, but i think to ambitious for what I bought them for so didnt really work. I wanted to connect my record player to my surround sound system but it just sounded very tinny and was better from the record player speakers in the end. Not the fault of the cables (I think).
Seen as though the cable doesn’t show a turntable , record player , phono on the advertised package I will start by saying this is an excellent cable for this use.
This cable replaced a qed cable that cost around 7x the price of this and I can hear absolutely no difference whatsoever.
I no longer required the extra length of the previous qed , so as I’m a wee bit wiser now I thought I’d try this fine cable for my record player to my amplifier.
Happy to report it’s well made , excellent value and connected perfectly.
I usually buy budget audiophile leads (QED, Van Damme – and when it was available Monster Cable) but sometimes price has to be taken into consideration.
A 2m QED RCA – RCA lead is 20 – 40.00 the newest ranger is 70.00! and as this is a ‘fly’ connection from TV to AMP (Via Headphone amp) I didn’t want to spent that sort of money.
Over all this is a very good lead – good finish and seems well made (not the same High Qual. Audio signal as many ‘pro’ leads) but the best ‘budget lead I have found. Better than evergreen and many other cheppies.
This is IMHO of course & I’m still one of the people who think you CAN hear the difference.
If you want better ‘cleaner’ sound save up and spend more – but for under 10.00 for 2m this is more than OK
I’m not one of these people who will spend vast amounts on interconnects. I’m not saying it’s all snake oil but there is the law of diminishing returns and spending 50 plus on a short piece of cable is not top priority. If you’ve already spent tens of thousands on your kit then you may seriously consider that expenditure. For me I just wanted a decent bit of cable to replace the very poor 1.5m cable that I was using.
I found the rca plugs were a good fit for my equipment, not loose as some people have commented. This runs between my Rotel RDD-980 CD Transport and the matching Rotel RDP-980 Digital Processor. My only criticism is that, for my set up, I would have preferred the option of a 0.3m cable.
Anyway, power up and push some music through and the difference was immediately noticeable. Everything seemed a little tighter and the highs had a bit more zing. Now you have to bear in mind that this improvement is over a really poor quality cable but even so I found the difference remarkable.
So that’s it. If you’re not the audiophile with a small fortune invested in hifi but you still want a decent cable, decent for the average man’s or woman’s quality audio equipment (perhaps vintage like mine) then you need look no further.
I’m getting another KabelDirekt interconnect now to complete the hook up to my ‘new’ vintage Rotel RA-971 amp.
I’ve purchased several items from KabelDirekt … because the first one I got was so excellent and of such high quality (in terms of build quality AND especially in terms of sound quality) … that now I keep coming back to them to buy more stuff. I can’t stop myself. Somebody please help me. These KabelDirekt products are the all-time bargain of the century in terms of audio bang-for-buck. You can really tell that they’ve put a huge effort into making a quality product that works well, that lasts, and that most importantly lets the music through crystal clear. OK, they are not as good as 200 cables from Chord (a UK high-end audio cable manufacturer) … but they get you 85% of the way – and you’d really need a system that’s way above average to tell the difference. So … buy these cables with confidence, you will not regret it. I’ve had years of experience with all sorts of audio cables, including ultimate hi-fi ones costing several hundred pounds for just a short length … and, compared to those, or to anything else on the market, KabelDirekt are absolutely unbeatable value. Forget the 2 quid, 3 quid, 5 quid type cables – just spend a couple of extra quid on these, and you’ll be sorted.
PROs :- First things first ! – I ordered this item on a Sunday afternoon and it was waiting for me when I got home Monday ! that’s next day delivery on an item ordered on a Sunday afternoon !! Fantastic service. The cable itself has a feel and weight about it that screams quality, this is far from the skinny plastic 50p RED/WHITE RCA cables that usually come with some appliances, you cant help feel that the sound output is made much clearer because you used this cable, a great buy.
CONs :- The only reason I didn’t give this cable a 5/5 was because the actual RCA ends do not fit as snugly as I would have like, I tried on various female connections on different appliances but when you push them in, it takes little resistance to pull them out, so if you happen to knock the appliance its connected to, you may run the risk of the connections slipping out, its a minor point but worth mentioning, still a great cable.
