Bought 3 more packs of these after initial order finding how good these are, strong, sturdy, good to grip as well, all 4 sets arrived intact, none broken (other brand and different type of plastic storage container had two lots cracked owing to brittle plastic). These are space saving, helping me to tidy up my kitchen cupboards, the labels and marker pen a very useful addition. No excuse now for out of date stuff at the back of my cupboards! They are very well packed in a strong cardboard box.
Exactly what’s I wanted to fit into the drawer for cereal. 4 boxes so we get one each. Can fit a packets of Aldi Frosties or Rice crispies in an empty one perfectly.
Just the job for storing cereal…easy to fill and use. Fitted about 750g of cornflakes into this. The snap down closure method is very simple but effective making the lid much easier to remove than in traditional types. Sturdy and well made.
Good set of food storage containers, this style of container is usually aimed for cereal storage but could be used for various other foods such as pasta, rice, porridge oats, etc. Each box has a generous 4 litre capacity which easily contains a medium sized box of cereal of a few small bags of pasta. The lid is airtight with a convenient lidded pouring spout which is airtight also. Comes with a set of chalk board style labels and a chalk pen for easy content labelling and identification.
18.49 (at the time of review) feels about right on value, working out approx 4.60 per container and would easily pay up to 5 each for a good quality comparable container. Good set to get the food cupboard organised. Matching items would be good if available.
Once I’d ordered and received the four containers, I found that they were so useful in storing our cereals and porridge oats that, I immediately ordered another set before they go up in price (like everything does nowadays). The new set is intended to store different flours in our kitchen (self-raising flour, bread flour, strong white flour, wholemeal flour). These containers should keep foodstuff safe from any potential intrusive insects or bugs that cardboard boxes and flimsy paper wrappers won’t always necessarily form a barrier against. These containers seem solid, damp-proof and airtight. The only criticism would be that they are a tad expensive but, if they do the job, the price is worth paying. Recommended.
I really like these storage containers and in this set you get a 3 pack of 4 litre airtight containers which can be used for a multitude of things and not just cereal. These are clear tubs each with four string clips on the lid although you will hear 6 clicks when fastened as the 2 larger clips have 2 locks on each and then there is an opening on the top for easy pouring.
These are strong and durable containers and have a thinner part with grips for you to be able to hold and pour the contents easier. You also get labels and a chalk pen which works well and this can just be wiped off and then renamed for another item, we currently use 2 for cereal which fit in the cupboards well and then one for bird food for our Indian Ringneck which keeps her food fresh and dry.
Recommend.
Good size for the dry goods.
Handy storage to keep it tidy and airtight.
A big pouring lid to ensure easy access.
Strong and durable, could be also use in the fridge.
Pack of 2 at 10 is good value for money.
I love these clip lock cereal containers.
They’re easy to handle and easy to open and close, which you should never assume is the case as I often struggle with cheaper clip lock containers. They’re very good value for money and very good quality.
You get a set of labels and white marker pen with them, although the containers are transparent so I haven’t used the labels as I can see what’s inside them. The labels could be useful for other items though.
I think they’re a bit larger than my old cereal containers, mainly due to the extra width from the clip lock lids, so they take up a little bit more room in the cupboard but I’m really happy with them.
I like the fact that these are not big cereal holders.
Small and compact..hold a box of cereal and easy to poor out.
Nice sealable lid with the little flip part .
Comes with little labels and a pen to mark the containers.
Lid clips down on all 4 side
Keeps cereal fresher for longer.
These are a great airtight solution for cereal, big share bags of crisps or really any large capacity food needing airtight storage. The lids really seal well with 4 strong clips and has another well sealed lid on top to flip up and pour the cereal out. I like that there is the slightly thinner section to provide better grip to pour as when we tried with porridge oats it was quite heavy!
It comes with blackboard stickers and a pen but as they’re clear we haven’t used these as obvious to see what was in there. They hold a 500g box nicely (the cornflakes was a full box and came to the top) and are easy to clean if you did want to switch the use in between.
The only thing stopping me marking this as 5* is how much space they take up. The photos on the sale page indicate they will sit nicely side by side but in reality the lids are much wider due to the clips. In a space we previously had 4 boxes of cereal we could only fit 2 of these tubs and ended up stacking them as shown in my last picture.
The material is robust, durable and of decent quality. They’re the perfect size for storing cereal but also ideal for storing other things such as dried fruit, nuts, pasta or spaghetti.
The first thing I liked about this is the onboard moulded/slot grip, making it much easier to hold for smaller hands. The covers are airtight, keeping everything fresh and protected. Clip locks are secure; they are on a lid; however, subjective, I like the locking system on the container but not on a lid. I have another container with a lock on its body, which I find more secure and easy to use.
The containers are transparent; you can see what’s inside. It comes with a marker and labels, but I don’t use them; it’s there if it’s your thing.
I hope this review helps you to make a purchasing decision.
Airtight food storage containers are a great way to maintain food freshness, and much better than foil or cling-film. This (very similar to Lock & Lock) type is very popular, and a marked improvement over the old-style ‘Tupperware’ type boxes These are a genuinely superb way of storing food, and much better than other methods. This is an excellent set of 4 Cereal containers that are really well-made, and a great ergonomic design (inward / outward curve for easy grip). They’re all the same size, and perfect for Corn Flakes, Porridge Oats etc. As noted, they’re quite similar to Lock & Lock boxes. I would say they’re very close to the quality of Lock & Lock. The lids and pouring flap have excellent silicone sealing gaskets, and they are properly air / watertight. I put water in them and gave a really good shake (upside down), and not a drop
The boxes are really good quality, and they seal very tightly, as they should. The boxes are dishwasher safe (including the lids), and are made of BPA free plastic. They aren’t though microwave safe. The lid hinge clips are good and tight, and look as though they will last, as do the boxes generally. Included with this pack are a set of labels and marker pen , which is useful and handy.
Overall, a super quality, set of 4 x airtight cereal containers that are excellent value. Recommended.
