Thought 28 insanely pricey for a set of kitchen scales but I love them. Very precise, easy to read the weight, quite smart. If I’d had to pay postage – or wait a week for delivery – I’d never have bought these but I’m very glad I did.

Read reviews doubting it’s accuracy but so far mine are bang on. Easy to use and very accurate.

These scales are so lightweight..!! Not only that, they’re easy to use, have a clear digital screen making it easy to read and I definitely would recommend these to any cook.
I didn’t realise that they used the same make and brand of scales, in the Great British Bake Off tent 😉

These scales seem accurate and easy to use, and look attractive. The two alternative scales are useful, the smaller one especially handy for herbs and spices, coffee doses and similar. The readout is easy to see and, being offset, is not blocked by larger containers like some scales. Buttons are tactile and easy to use. It’s early days, but it seems robust and easy to maintain.

Purchased for ejuice making. I use the small part of scale for the flavouring drops and they’re accurate enough for my needs and if I’m making a large bottle of juice of about 400ml plus I’d use the large part of the scale to weigh the PG and VG .
The auto power off is a pain as with all scales which have that feature.

Easy to use. Easy to clean. Haven’t used it fully yet. But did test the accuracy with know weights on the smaller scale. Is out between 10 and 30% upto 5 grams, then gets more accurate as the weight increases. Overall its a good scale for the purpose of kitchen use.

Had these scales two months and worked well for us so far. Easy to clean, with anti bac wipe or damp cloth and easily stored away. Perfect for what we need.

I’m not obsessive about every detail of what I eat, but being able to weigh food really simply in a matter of 30 seconds a meal means I can track calories and that has made a massive difference to staying on top of my nutritio

Got this as I’ve started making bread and need to accuratly measure amounts of yeast or salt as small as 4 or 5 grams. These scales work great. It was on sale for 12.50 when I bought it and at that price I consider it to be a bargain.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersFor the price these scales are absolutely brilliant!!

No, they are not made out of Vibranium, but what do you expect at only 15! The base is plastic, but so what!? It’s perfectly solid and suitable for the purpose that it is intended. If you want to throw them around the kitchen and not expect to break, then they are not for you. Buy a discus!

If you are going to use them for the correct purpose, ie weighing things then they are brilliant. Although the (failed) Heston ones I have are heavier, these are far more accurate and the readings more far stable. The Heston ones have, were always a bit iffy and now that they have failed completely after only 4 years I cannot even get Salter to reply to my request to return them under warranty! These scales are only a third of the cost of Heston ones too. It’s a no brainer to me.

One particular stand out feature is that the smaller, accurate scale weighs to 0.01 gram ! I did not see this info in the description, having looked for it, but was pleasantly surprised as I was only expecting 0.01 gram like the Heston ones….which are going in the bin.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA few days ago my trusty digital kitchen scales ceased to work.
I regularly make bread and do a fair amount of other cookery and much of the time rough measurements and cooks intuition will suffice. For measuring small quantities, such as salt or dried yeast, the resolution of the run-of-the-mill domestic-quality digital scales is sometimes unpredictable.
This Taylor Pro product meets my requirements without breaking the bank.
After reading some negative reviews, I was slightly reluctant to purchase this product but my concerns proved unfounded after a few minutes of testing. I can’t confirm its durability but after un-boxing and fitting two AAA batteries I tested the unit. Armed with a set of metric test weights I was very pleased to confirm that the unit was accurate. My next important test was to weigh some salt, which can be troublesome on cheap scales, the scales failing to refresh until too much has been added. On the small platform of the Taylor Pro, the addition of just a few grains of salt resulted in a new reading with only a short lag of display refresh.
With a large glazed ceramic mixing bowl on the large platform I was happy that the displays were still easy to read and controls buttons were easy to operate.
I paid about fifteen quid so I have no criticism relating to plastic quality at the price.
In summary, I’d recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy use case for this one is very specific: coffee beans: sometimes I want to have a vague idea of how much coffee I’m putting in the hopper, and sometimes I want to have a very precise idea of how much coffee I’m going to grind. The quantity of ground coffee is measured by time, allowing to get a consistent quantity just by putting about 14g +/-1 g into the hopper.

For 17, this fits the purpose perfectly.

The only thing I would’ve liked is to have back lighting on the display, and also if the display could stay on for longer if there is no action, I know about saving batteries, but the scale really turns off quickly if it’s not weighing anything.

Other reviewers mentioned it’s built cheaply, yeah it doesn’t look or feel expensive; but then again what do you want for 17.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fits my use case perfectly.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersProduct is accurate and easy to use

Large scale doesn’t kick in until you have added 2-5grams, but for most people that won’t be a problem. Small scale consistent and accurate to one hundredth of a gram.

My only complaint is the unit powers off too quickly, so if you’re not paying attention or are distracted, you may lose your place and have to remember where you got to.

That is the reason why this does not get five stars. In use the product is good and I’m still glad I saved 15 over the Heston one.
