I wish I had tried these before going through the fiasco I’ve had with the Elite Series 2 controller the first controller got RMA’d 14 times before the warranty ran out and stupidly I bought a second which has been RMA’d 3 times and now the replacement sits in a box unused!
If only I had tried KontrolFreeks in the beginning it would have saved me so many headaches!!!
I originally got the Vanguard version for the Xbox controller and after a couple of years of heavy use are still going strong and when I hit the PS5 I got these!
Aiming in FPS games is so much accurate, I won’t play and FPS game or RPG without them. These have made the world of difference and for the price, if your sceptical try them.
As I say the ones on my Xbox controllers are at least 2 years old and the ones I have for the PS5 are a year old and still going strong so it’s a testament to the durability!
Would I buy more? Definitely!
Pro: these are really comfortable and now I cannot play without them.
Con: sometimes when a game needs you to spin the analog stick or even flick it, they have feel off a few times. While it isn’t often, it is still more than I would like.
Pro: the grip does not feel “off” or unfamiliar even though the patterns on these thumb sticks are vastly different to normal.

I really was sceptical, but, I gotta say, they work. I’m a PC player, so keyboard and mouse is my church. But as I got a PS5 I’m having to navigate a controller….and I am trash as controlling my movements (FPS – COD, Seige etc). I’m just too heavy handed. By extending the analogue sticks it allow my over compensations to have less of an effect in-game and it’s really improved my aim.
I was surprised, but..it worked for me.
Helped me have better aim on shooting games. And it’s very convenient if you play claw. However the rubber comes off after some time. For the price it doesn’t last that long.
The product came with no defects or anything wrong, Its my first time actually using Kontrol Freeks and I don’t regret my purchase, I can say it does make me perform better in game and feels more comfortable after I got used to it, which didn’t take me long. Overall great product and definitely reccomended.
Takes a little getting used to but significantly improved aim once I felt comfortable with it. Tried it on both thumb sticks and also only on the right stick. Definitely preferred just having it on the right to adjust aim.
Overall, a good product. They do exactly what you expect. You get more control in FPS definitely. I use them mainly for Battlefield V. I used to be a Competitive eSports player. If you take them on and off, you’ll probably damage the thumb stick on the controller. The main thing I didn’t like is if you have clammy hands like myself, they slip a lot. I thought it would have been an upgrade in that way to the original PS thumbsticks but it isn’t. Could do with being a better material. A tip on countering that is facing a fan towards your hands when you play.
Good comfy stick extensions with great grip.
My only slight complaint would be that my right stick (longer extender) seems to pop off every now and then. No biggy when playing solo games where pausing is an option but very annoying in pvp scenarios.
My dirty, sweaty, pathetic excuse for “man hands” or thumbs in this case have always caused issues with using controllers. My hands are just too damn small, literally any controller, even at the seaside arcade or using the humble desktop mouses… too small. So by adding a tiny amount of height to my thumbsticks (let’s be honest any amount of “growth” is on a man’s wish list) has meant i’ve been able to at least attempt to play Call of Duty – i’m still rubbish but at least my thumbs don’t hurt… they also get discoloured very quickly – but again this is probably down to my personal hygiene habits and them being white…
Long time ago wanted to buy thumbstick risers, but didn’t think that it will improve my amaing that much as it did. After watching some youtubers recommending these, I tried, and I’m not going back to stock thumbstick height. Also gonna try precision rings from Kontrolfreek in addition to this.
I’ve never used additional thumb sticks before, however I did my research on the many different ones available & decided to go for the FREEK GALAXY model.
The right thumb stick is slightly taller in comparison to the left, which allows more suitable movements & sense whilst aiming. Perfect for FPS.
They clip on and stay on. Haven’t moved once since I’ve attached them.
They are comfortable to use even after a good several hour sesh.
My thumbs don’t feel like they’ve being stretched at all.
They grip well so even whilst having sweaty palms during those tight 1-v-1s your grip stays true!
They’re light weight so no additional weight or pressure on the wrist.
I would highly recommend anyone who plays lots of FPS to use these, and if you’ve never used any before. Def give these ago!

This is about my 6-7th set over the years, and i wont use anything else. I have tried a LOT of alternatives.

Great purchase for fast games such as call of duty.
The lengthened analogue sticks increases your accuracy ten fold allowing you to increase your sensitivity setting.
I went from sensitivity 8 to 15 with very little practice.
I would recommend having some wet wipes handy if you buy the white ones. They’re prone to collecting di
4 stars due to 1 negative, they sometimes twist on the joystick. Otherwise I literally can’t play without them, feels like the controller is naked. I find it really helps with FPS, I personally play a fair bit of warzone and it’s been the best edition I’ve made to enjoy my gaming experience. Would defo recommend these!
It does take a while to get used to them (at least a couple of games/hours) but once you do you’ll find it impossible to go back to playing without them.
They offer more precision and range of motion which is exactly what you want in games like CoD WarZone, I’ve not tried them for other games but imagine they may offer benefits across a multitude of different gaming genres.
They only negative is that they are white and seem to be a magnet for looking dirty (especially when the kids use them), although they do wipe clean and have stayed reasonably white.
I had some other KontrolFreek stick toppers, which eventually wore down after about 3 years and lots of use. Actually, one set wore down / became unstuck where the plastic that hooks on to the control stick became unglued from the rubber top, but the other set are still going. I decided to try these next. The design is simple and not garish or flashy like many of the other designs. They are easy to install and remove, and offer excellent grip and comfort compared with the standard controller’s thumb sticks on their own. Yes, they might seem a little expensive, but they are a quality product that should last years before needing to be replaced.
