I am very pleased with my new jet washer, at first was abit skeptical but it is well worth the money!! I’m a gardener and will be using is it for business.
Few things to add: connections on the jet washer are very tight fitted and won’t come off unless you intend for them to ( sometimes you have to put more pressure for release).
This is something I wish I knew because I thought I set it up wrong initially. Overall lovely to use and perfect new addition to my tools.
Mine went wrong so I returned it, But for a while it was really great. Especially useful in this compact size.
The bigger models have brackets to hold the spray lance, coil the cable / hose. They even have Apps and stuff. None of it either works or is of any use.
This model has the pressure washer part. It is useful and good. Until it goes wrong.
A powerful unit however as it’s not possible to attach to the water mains (a household tap) I had to purchase a Karcher water pump and fill a sink and run a hose to the unit keeping the taps running.
I do not have a water butt.
I attempted to draw water from a large bucket however this unit drinks water.
However once set up, it works well.
My old, smaller Krcher eventually failed after many years of good service. I replaced it with the K5 compact to be more suitable for heavy jobs like patio washing, but also convenient to take in the car to clean my sailing dinghy and for jobs at family houses. So far, it has done everything I need perfectly.
Good quality product though storage of the hose is problematic as there is no facility to wind pressure hose round as I use the rear of the machine to wrap the electrical lead around. Very good pressure for what is a small piece of kit and easy to assemble out of the box. Time will tell as to its reliability since my previous experience with the K5.55 was not good and I admit I was sceptical about buying another Karcher.
Downside, the high pressure hose comes in the box wound up separately, there’s a goo reason for this. You assemble the high pressure hose to the unit and click them in. Once you’ve done this I could not get them off disconnected again.
Second problem, when you’ve finished with the power washer, your supposed to wind the high pressure hose around the machine at the front. No way, it’s like trying to wind a coiled spring. Even winding it around the handle is nigh on a impossibility, the hose just fights you from trying to twist it.
So to sum up, a good power washer. To try and wrap it up like the picture is impossible, and that doesn’t include the power cable which has nowhere to go. So be warned , it’s not as pretty as the picture shows you.
I bought this for my dad who is 80, he loves it. Fantastic power and the thing he loves most is how lightweight it is, easy for him to move around his driveway/garden as required. He’s very happy and would highly recommend.
i had a k4 which has had extensive use and would not buy any other make.
this does all i want with good pressure and an easier hose storage.

Good value for money , attachments are good , it’s a tough one the only issue which they all have is the hard plastic jet hose is so unwieldy meaning it gets a bit out of control and a pain to untangle . But that isn’t a major problem . I’d still recommend it and its worth a purchase .
The fittings on the K5 are a great improvement on my previous model and the fact the machine cuts off when the trigger is released is a great bonus. I have used the current one for ten or more hours washing my paved driveway and yard and it has performed powerfully as I would have expected. I am expecting a number of years of use without problems. A excellent product.

Bought it couple of months ago. So far so good. Good enough pressure to clean the driveway. Used it couple of times. If it carries on working like this for few years I will be very happy.
As it states – compact and powerful. Simple to use and eliminates the unecessary complications -(gimmicks that fail) on the larger smart control models. Really easy to use, simple to control powerful washer. Great!
