I cannot recommend these gloves enough! Definitely suitable for working with brambles. Yes, the of one does go through, but it is only the of one. Highly recommended. I shall buy a second pair for spare.

I bought these to protect my hands from the thorny brambles in my garden. It does protect my hand but you need to ensure your arms are covered too. A long version of these would be even better – I’m not sure if they exist but would still recommend these to keep your hands safe.

These gloves are both comfortable and thornproof.
I wore them for hours today , pruning back a holly tree and several rose very thorny bushes.
Not only was I able to hold the secateurs and loppers without them slipping, I’ve not felt a single prickle.
    Just ordered 2 more pairs.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best gloves I've ever bought.

They are comfortable I am medium 6/and a half. Very pleased and an excellent service. My apologies for the delay. I wrote the review straight away, but I think I was called away and then completely forgot. First class service and I love them .

I was really impressed when these gloves arrived. They are soft and pliable, allowing full hand movement, but are tough enough to protect. I have ordered a second pair to keep in the car for when I tidy graves.

Lovely gloves, fit well and thick enough so I was confident to pull out spikey weeds around my house.

Gutted though as in the first use I accidentally chopped off the corner of the thumb with my garden shears

I’m over the moon with my new gardening gloves, they are beautifully made, excellent quality. Very comfortable and protect your hands from all the thorns in the garden. I would highly recommend this item. I receive my gloves very fast and I would certainly recommend this seller.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am renovating a garden that is about an acre in size and we also own another acre of woodland which we leave wild, so at the moment there is a wall of brambles around 10ft high cascading down into the garden around the edges.

I’m not talking about a few small bushes, I’m talking a full on wall with some branches being as thick as a baby’s arm! I’ve bought gloves that promise to be thorn proof before and they have failed epically. I’m left each night trying to get them out, these however did not disappoint!

I would recommend making sure your size is right and also, for extra protection against blackthorns etc I would wear another pair of gloves underneath, silicone type ones or rubber.

Word of warning, once the gloves get worn out, or ripped, just buy another pair! These lasted me around 5 months of heavy duty moving in all weathers until I had one small rip in the side, because they are still amazing I would still use them but forget about that hole and yes the thorns would get through!

So don’t get cheap on me Dodgeson and just order a new pair right away! Well worth the price and they look and feel great too! I still have my pair that have the small rip, because they are still fine for most things! Just not the thorns and have since ordered another pair. These are my go to gloves!

I have been using a favoured brand of yellow leather gloves for years (not the same pair ) but they occasionally let a bramble thorn through. The reviews for these mentioned how resistant they are to bramble thorns. I bought a pair and they really are largely resistant although the occasional one sneaks through. The only minor negative is that the mesh backing to the glove is highly attractive to the sticky seeds of Cleavers (goose grass) and are a devil to remove. So I tend to carry both with me in Cleavers season but when it comes to bramble these are the Daddy.

These gloves look great and because of the colour are not easily lost in the garden.
I have been clearing an area with huge brambles and I can’t fault these. Highly recommended

Worn these gloves for couple of hours while gardening, I found the fit ideal and they were comfortable. They are thick and are thorn proof. I didn’t need to take them off when using electronic tools. I found that while gardening in very hot weather the gloves were still comfortable, my hands didn’t get very hot and damp.

I chose the larger gloves so they would be easier to get on and take off especially as it has been warmer. With the Velcro straps they fit nicely around the wrist and don’t slip off. They seem thick enough to protect your hands from thorns and nettles, so should be very good for gardening. As I’ve not used them very much I cant say how long they would last but happy with them for now

These are very tough and I’ve put them through a lot of hard work. I like the velcro strap which stops them falling off and creatures falling in. After 2 years I’m about to buy another pair because I wore the fingers out on the dominant hand

Quite pleased with them but I ordered medium for my husband but they were very small and only just fitted me but still very useful as I do the garden as well.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThey are very stiff to begin with being leather expected. I did however find the index and thumb being shorter so a bit uncomfortable so would recommend going up a size.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve used these gloves for a few days over the course of the past week and they’ve quickly became my favourite pair. They’re very sturdy and I haven’t had any issues when weeding with any plants poking through the material. Even the thorns on my roses aren’t tough enough for these. They’re also really easy to clean and fit very snug.

The only downsides is that the material on the palms is quite stiff, due to it being so sturdy and snug, so it makes some tasks more finicky. You just don’t have a lot of mobility in your hands when wearing these. Another note, I bought these in a size small and they fit my hands very nicely but the wrists are a bit short so I’ve noticed I get a lot of dirt buildup around my wrists.

The cynic in me thinks these could be golf gloves masquerading as gardening gloves. A bit short in the wrist and quite thick and not flexible. Good for digging, hoeing etc but a bit bulky for pruning, weeding and more delicate gardening operations.

A good strong glove, but I bought the Large size and the gloves aren’t really what I call Large. However, I can use the gloves, and this was in fact a re-order. A pity that the vendors do not offer an XL size.
