I’m not sure who had the most fun with this kite, my husband or my granddaughter.
This kite was easy to set up and while it didn’t fly successfully 100% of the time, the time that it did fly brought lots of fun for my 4 years old granddaughter and husband, granddad had to show her how to use it, at least that was his answer when she asked to have a go lol.
My grandchildren enjoy being outside and playing, so they enjoyed playing with this.
It’s not something that is easy to do, it takes practice, so when she managed to get it to stay in the air, it provided a great sense of achievement.
I don’t know how sturdy this is and how much this will withstand only time will tell, but it’s already brought enough smiles to my granddaughters face to make this a worthwhile toy.

This Butterfly kite is great for first time flying and to excite younger kids. It has bright colours and a fun design.

It is reasonably easy to assemble and has enough cord available to get a decent enough height.

It survived a few crash landings quite well and this is an inevitable part of kite flying.

This is a fun way to spend an hour or two on a windy day and is great for all the family to do together.

This is a decent young child’s kite.

It requires help from an adult to assemble which doesn’t take long at all. It is easy to fly.

Repeated assembly and taking it apart again may cause wear.

The line is a good length (the seller says it is 100 metres – all I can say is that I find it long enough).

This was fairly easy to put together, my OH did it with the help of our 6 yr old grandson. They took it over the field to fly on a fairly gentle windy day, and it worked very well. It rose up on the wind, and our grandson guided it around, and when it came down, it landed softly on the grass and wasn’t damaged. I am not sure how long it would fly in very high winds, but we were pleased with i

Good value for money as it’s easy to assemble and flies very easily in even a gentle wind. We had no problems in flight, the string is strong and the connector bars are sturdy. The colours are bright as the picture suggests and it uniquely has 2 tales so the butterfly is symmetrical as a butterfly should be.

This butterfly kits comes folded in a handy little plastic sleeve, it is quite easy to assble and only takes a couple of mins to put together, it is a very colourful bright kite which works just fine in a little bit of wind, great for kids and beginners to kite flying.

We couldn’t wait to try out this larger kite and it’s now a firm favourite with my daughter. This butterfly kite was ok to assemble and it wasn’t overly difficult to get ready to fly. The kite material itself feels pretty strong and even after a couple of uses it is still intact with no damage.

The kite looks great flying and can get up really high. It was easy to control both by an adult and my 7 year old. We had so much fun with it. It was easy to launch into the air by an adult although my daughter needed a little help with this.

Overall this is a really fun kite that looks great in the sky. There is plenty of string to control so you can get it flying high up. Very happy with it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun kite!

Having lost one of the poles from my daughter’s kite I was thrilled to be offered this as it’s even more gorgeous than what she had before! It’s really bright and colourful, with rainbow ribbons trailing from each wing. I love it!

    Up to the highest height…

To send this soaring, some assembly is required. The instructions are scant, but the way things go together is fairly intuitive.
The centre fixing point as a this way up sticker on it, make sure it is.
And there is a thin plastic nylon wire that goes across the “face” as best as I could tell from the instructions, but either the stitching was incomplete or the design, because the wire would not stay put for any length of time, that said it is cosmetic detail.

In terms of a child putting this kite together, young children would definitely struggle, it’s not so much the complexity but the rods are under strain, so a reasonably strong hand is required. An older child would probably manage.

The Kite wasn’t the easiest to launch, a “handle” would have helped on the body, but once in the wind it wasn’t to bad.
There is plenty of string on the winder, which was fine in my adult hands, smaller hands may find it harder to control.

The kite is made of light weight materials and the string is fine and appeared want to fray.
It’s hard to estimate longevity for something like this, a big factor would be storage, if you were dissembling and reassembling – and many would wish too, it’s quite a large when assembled then that might stress the rods, joints and stitched slots for them.

In terms of analogue fun I enjoyed my brief test flight and think it just might get a young one away from their screens and outside in the fresh air.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some Assembly required. Let's go fly a Kite....

I’m really delighted with this colourful kite. It is easy to put together – not from the instructions, which are to follow, but from the little video on the amazon product page. Once made it is super easy to fly – absolutely fine for a child, and it doesn’t need a huge amount of wind – it is light enough and big enough to fly easily

The butterfly design is great and the streamers look good when it’s up in the air. I only wish the bag the kite comes in had been a little bigger – I managed to get it back in bag once we had flown it – but not easy. Probably better to keep it in a bigger bag. Great value, and great fun though

Bright, vivid colours and the pretty butterfly design make it amazing.
Its shape has excellent flight characteristics and can resist tearing.
    High quality, with sturdy wand.
It is very light, portable, does not tear, durable.
Very easy to fly, just take a few steps.
It will be a great gift for children.

The kite arrived in a storage pouch with instructions inside, I first removed the contents and placed the kite on the ground flat to insert the support poles, I found the instructions a little tricky to follow so I just ended up trying to figure it out myself, it worked out pretty simple to problem solve.
Once built you are good to go, the kite is so large that it’s easy to fly once it gets going with even a light breeze, this is probably the best kite I have used.

I try to get similar gifts for both grandchildren and had a kite for the boy so decided to try this out for our girl. She adored it straight away (her mum not so much as she really doesn’t like butterflies) and we put it together quickly. There is a statue park a few minutes drive away so we went there to try it as the wind is being provided where we live at the moment. It has a long line and after we showed her what to do she had lots of fun (she is only 4) and we made sure she could not lose it be letting go of the string. We even recommended to someone who asked us where we got it from.

Butterfly Kite for Kids and Adults.

I have been a fan of kites all my life, and was keen to let my grandsons have a go. This Butterfly shaped kite is very well made and contains all the bits to get you up in the air. I particularly like the long tail of this kite. The kite arrives neatly packed, and it’s easy to assemble.
We had great fun, plenty of fresh air and lots of exercise. The quality of the kite is well worth the purchase price currently of 11.99, at time of writing. It’s a perfect first kite in my opinion.

    Five Stars

It’s nice to have a kite that’s really simple to use. Stunt kites are OK but for little kids they need something simple and colourful. The actual design is great and with the trailing streamers it’s a great effect. I chose the pink one because I have two granddaughters and they love it. It’s like Mary Poppins all over again! “Let’s go, fly a kite!”

This is a great fun way to make a walk in the park or on the beach even more fun. Our daughter was mesmerised watching me quickly put it together and seeing it take to the sky with relatively little wind. It flown from a circular handle that makes it easy to do and completely safe to avoid friction from the lines on the hands. It doesnt pull to strongly and the line is long enough to seem quite high but it actually quite manageable. As with any single line kite, you need the right conditions, not too windy, not too still, but we got a perfect spring day and we had it up for around an hour. Great simple fun that helps encourage outdoor play and learning.

The kite comes neatly folded up inside a small case, which is both compact and easy to carry and transport. Everything needed to build and fly the kite is included (except the wind obviously.) I set everything out on the floor ready to build the kite, however the instructions were very poorly written and extremely difficult to follow, in the end I built it purely by looking at the picture. Fortunately it was a lot easier to build than I initially thought and it only took a matter of minutes to put together.
The kite seems to be durable and the skeleton is light and robust. The butterfly design is very vibrant and nicely printed and it also looks very cool floating in the air and flapping the breeze. I managed to launch it with out it coming apart. Afterwards I managed to dismantle it fairly quickly, but I struggled to fold it back up correctly and get it back in its case.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to put together but rubbish instructions

I’m quite impressed at how well this kite flys. It’s easy to set up, really lightweight, and comes with an incredibly long string line.

When I first opened the packet and pulled the kite out, I was a little worried that the material felt a bit cheap and the build quality a little lacking. The stitching in places is a bit whimsical, and there were fibreglass rods already attached. I was expecting that I’d have to thread the rope and poles in place, but the main rods were already in place which made the rest easy to do without even looking at the instructions. There is a tiny rod that crosses over in the butterfly’s head, so don’t lose that. And the rope line came pre wound with a small carabiner type plastic clip to attach to the main kite on the pre tied loop.

And away you go, my 4 year old loves it and was happily running around with it seemingly miles high in the sky. My partner even had a go for the first time in her life lol.

My main criticism is that I don’t feel this kite will not survive being built and packed away too many times before it rips or one of the little Velcro like pockets for the rods break, or the tunnels that the wings support rods go through rip.

In all a good cheap bit of fun for the kids, but I don’t expect longevity.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to set up and flys really well.
