Exactly what I needed to clean theb mank from my lazy spa. I wouldn’t use for a pool but it certainly does its job on my spa. Others have commented that the USB cover is exposes and it’s difficult to prime, I never had any such problems.
We had a hand pump version prior to this so this is a big upgrade… it works extremely well picking up all sorts from the bottom of the Jacuzzi even scale from the heater, a good addition to the cleaning kit for sure
Was amazed at how good this product was. Doesn’t need to attach to a hose, so no cold water being added to the hot tub.
Easy to attach to the water inflow. Sucked up all the debris in the hot tub.
I bought my daughter a 10ft, above ground steel-framed pool last summer and it was quite the baptism of fire at first, getting used the the filter pumps and chemicals. However, it has been so much better, easier and greener on the water usage than having a 10ft inflatable pool I’d have to empty, clean and refill every three days.
Anyway, we’d always get these little bits of grit on the bottom of the pool. Last year I had a hose vacuum that needed to be connected to water but it was rubbish. I joined a pool social media group where this vacuum was recommended this year – and honestly it’s worth it’s weight in gold!
It gets all the bits off the bottom! Takes a while to charge but a charge lasts ages.
If you’re getting into having an above ground pool, this is one of my must-haves along with the right filter pump and chlorine floaty!
Amazing piece of equipment. We have a 10ft circular pool which has only been up for between 2 and 3 weeks. I regularly skim the top layers with a net but noticed a few bits on the bottom that I couldn’t get as they’d just move if I disturbed the water around them.
Putting it together was easy and it was fully charged in a couple of hours. I really took time cleaning the bottom of the whole pool and the battery lasted. You could see the debris being sucked in and the water is pumped out of the vac higher up so as not to disturb the water at the bottom.
I was amazed at how much was in the filter when I finished (see pic). Filter was really easy to clean also (just run it under the tap)
This is really easy to use and very effective. I hope it lasts and will endeavour to update my review either way.
It may not be powerful, but it does vacuum the debris from the bottom of my pool. You can see in the photos where it has cleaned the debris from the bottom. You just rinse the filter out afterwards.
Charge it up then go ahead and suck up any grit etc laying on the bottom of the hot tub. It’s that simple. Despite appearances, it’s extremely efficient. Much better than fishing around with a net. I’m really impressed.
Wasn’t sure about which to get at first, as there are so many on here, but I took a leap of faith with this one, and I’m glad I did! If your pool or spa has a lot of gunk in, you’ll need to empty the filter every few minutes, you can tell when it’s struggling to pick up debris. It’s one of my favourite purchases this year, very therapeutic to get the pool clean (we have a 12ft round pool if that helps anyone)
A bit of advice, you need to go in slowly, and not swish it around too much, as it will cause the debris to float up. Go slowly and gently 🙂
Ordered this vacuum to clean pool. At first recieved the wrong item, but it was corrected with 2 days and correct item was recieved. Great service prompt and effiecent.
Tested the vacuum in the pool and it works very well. Highly recommend this vacuum.
Wanted a small vacuum to help clean the spa. Looked at the hose powered versions but didn’t want to be adding extra water unnecessarily. This vacuum doesn’t cost the earth and really does work.
I had purchased a net which was excellent for catching the floating debris or any which floated up from the bottom. There was however a gathering of grit i couldn’t get out or get to move between the wall and the bubble track around the tub. Not a major issue but just unsightly and annoying. This had everything cleaned up in less than a minute. So easy.
Great for my Hot tub! So easy to assemble and use can’t believe I’ve been ‘struggling’ using just a little net for long – wish I had bought this years ago!
Recommend that you let it dry out and empty between use, to prevent the fine metallic mesh from corroding.
Only used it once so far but it was great. When we tried it we thought no way it will suck as didn’t feel like had any power but it was great. Sooo satisfying and can’t believe we just used a pool sieve for ages
Plenty of suction, but the filter allows fine particles of sand through. I cut a piece of cotton cloth to wrap around filter to overcome this and now it works fine.
Was rather dubious as to how good this would be, however I am impressed, sucks up all the grit that sits at the bottom of the pool. You need to do this slowly, it’s not like vaccuming the house but works a treat. Being rechargeable saves on buying batteries and is easy to just charge, grab and clean. Highly recommended.
It is really good for the heavy dirt. The fine dirt it finds a bit harder to pick up and it often settles again in the pool. Overall im pleased I bought i
Rather expensive, but easy to assemble and is a useful tool for the tub owner, not so much for an overall clean, but for strategic mid-water change tidy up especially getting gritty bits out of the corners
I bought this 60313 model earlier this week and after charging it fully I tried it today on my hot tub. I was amazed at the amount of sand and grit I found in the filter and filter chamber afterward! Very impressive.
Snags? only a minor one – the filter was a bit tight to pull out for washing after use but I expect that to get easier over time.
One feature of the design that doesn’t work so well is the long handle. It may be fine for a pool but is a bit cumbersome for a hot tub. The light-weight handle is in two parts but they are a tight push fit together and not designed to be separated. Pity the manufacturer didn’t design it as a 3-part handle so that the middle section could be omitted if not needed.
I looked at lots of options before purchasing this vacuum, and took a punt on it.
Very happy with my decision. I get a lot of crystals from the chlorine tablets collecting at the bottom of the spa and this easily picks them up. Highly recommended.
