These animal toys are beautiful, the feel so nice “in hand” with the weight of the wood, and are beautifully painted. My baby is a bit young to stack them, but has loved sorting them and moving them around the room. I love the unusual animal selection – it means there isn’t a cross-over with many other toys we have, and so it’s nice to have a variety!
The animal designs are so beautiful! I love these and the storage bag that it comes with. Kids love to play with these – a bit like jenga 🙂 they like to come back and look at the pictures to see if they can re-create them.
I bought these after my daughter kept playing with the forest stacker set. They are great and well made, however a lot trickier to stack than the other set. This can sometimes be a bit frustrating for my daughter!
A gorgeous toy, my almost 2yo loves these and they’re great for stacking, counting, imaginative play and talking about, and naming, the different animals. They also come in a fabric bag for storage. Would definitely recommend.
Great size for toddler hands and in a handy bag to keep them together. The quality of wood and finish is good so you know there won’t be any splinters as you can get from cheaper products.
Le Toy Van is one of my favourite companies. Gorgeous wooden toys made from sustainable sources and always well decorated. This little stacking set is perfect for small hands. A set of South American animals and birds for balancing, counting, hiding, playing with. My granddaughter loved the Llama, but my favourite was the capybara, not often you get one of those in a toy! Everything fits nicely into a small cloth bag, great for playing on the go.

However,I was little bit disappointed,that to stack these figures quite difficult,but it did not change my opinion and I really happy that my kids play with this set ,because it is good for their development.Good value for money,recommend.
Absolutely love this set of stacking animals! My 3 year old and 8 month old are getting such fun from them, they are small but a great size for little hands. My 3 year old has got the hang of stacking them and her little sister knocks them down, while also giving them a chew whenever she catches them! The animals are very cute and we love that they’re a little unusual too. There really is so much play potential to be had stacking them in different orders; my daughter loves stacking animals on each others backs and bringing them for a little walk.
We have quite a few toys from Le Toy Van and they’re well made but tend to be expensive. This set is really good value for what you get though and the little storage bag is a huge bonus as it helps tidy them together. This would make a great gift, highly recommend.
These are great little toys that are extremely durable. I’ve become such a fan of Le Toy Van, simply because of how durable and strong the toys are, which is rare to find. This means that all my kids can play with them as they get older, passing them along, instead of me having to replace them constantly because bits keep breaking or falling off. Definitely fantastic value for money. These wooden stack animals are no different. Whether using them as animals in a game, or using them to stack, my kids love playing with them. Plus they come with a little bag so I can keep them safe afterwards, all in one place, instead of becoming jumbled in a toy box/drawer. Brilliant.
Nice and colourful. All kids love animals and these are great. Lots of fun stacking or learning to stack for little ones. The animals are a little on the small side but I guess smaller hands require smaller things.
Don’t think they are worth the price tag of 14.95, I think I would be more than happy to pay 10 for these not more, as there isn’t much to them. It’s just a few animals that you just stack. In terms of learning and playing I guess they are ok and little ones will find them fun, but after a while they just end up behind or under something.
This cute little set from Le Toy Van is well made smooth edges and a good variety of colours. They come in a handy storage bag or they could be displayed in a nursery/ playroom. It is the kind of toy that can be enjoyed by a variety of ages as little ones will enjoy putting them in and out of the bag whilst older ones (including adults!) will enjoy the challenge of stacking them up or adding them to their imaginary play.
Lovely set of toys which can stack on top of one another. Sadly these sort of things get overlooked nowadays. However, the simple concept can provide a good deal of fun for a young child. The design and colours are good. Downside is that they’re very small and easily lost!

This kit comes with various animals that you can stack. Adds a different to traditional blocks as child is encouraged to think about balance and offers a challenge. Small and lightweight so great to shove in tour bag. Also educational as we use them to practice colours, animal names and sounds.
Lovely set of wooden animals – a long-lasting toy for toddlers. They are nicely painted and look great. The ability to stack them on top of each other creates a great challenge for toddlers. Also comes with cloth bag for storage. A timeless children’s toy.
These are a lovely set of wooden thankfully animals and hitch come in a cardboard box (with no plastic) and with a fabric ouch to keep them in.
They are designed to stack up on each other in different combinations and provide a fun diversion even for older kids even though if is aimed for younger toddlers. They are also a great addition to any animal scenes or storybook bags if you like that sort of thing. Even as an adult I enjoyed trying to get as many to balance in one set as possible. I wasn’t entirely sure what a couple of the animals are meant to be however so you can adapt to your needs (eg is it a lizard or a crocodile?)
Love the concept and love the quality. They are well made with a smooth finish and Le you can have got it right again.
At 15 this set makes a great present for a young child. It is recommended for play from 18 months upwards but the animals are so well made and attractive that they would also look good on any nursery shelf until baby is old enough to play.
The neat box comes with 8 Andean creatures carefully tissue wrapped inside, and a little cotton drawstring bag to keep them in. Children can play with the animals and make up scenarios around the additional snowy mountain piece, and stack them in all sorts of ways that encourage learning about counting, shape and balance. They are beautifully made and very transportable with the tallest animal (llama) coming in at just under 12cm.
The wood is smooth and safe for chewers, it is beautifully painted with features on each side.
we also like the Andean theme which sent us Googling – we knew about guinea pigs, llamas, foxes, spotted Andean mountain cats, butterflies of course, and many lizard types – but flamingos and toucans? Yes, there is a rare breed of flamingo native to the Andes and the toucan is found there too. Top marks to Le Toy Van for accuracy!
They can played with as animals or they can be stacked on top of each other like a puzzle pyramid. My youngest told me off stacking them, so they are probably best just used as animals in our household. Just wish she’d put them in the bag when finished with!
Fully recommended if you have a child who loves wooden animals, they are a premium price but worth it, as they will last.

The solution to this problem: I am looking for a product which is well priced, good fun, educational and appears to ooze quality so that I’ve spent hours looking for the perfect toy for a child. Step forward Le Toy Van wooden stacker (note there are a few in the range so browse for the one you think is most suitable). Ideal for a Christmas stocking or for buying for friends on behalf of your little one. Good quality product from a company that is a byword for quality – it will be given lot this Christmas – however it is already in the playroom being played with here and it’s a good challenge for all visitors. Well worth investigating.
Lovely little set of animals for age 18+ months. All Le Toy Van toys are excellent quality and thisis no exception. The set is colourful and nicely detailed. The set is designed to stack, but they are also a brilliant size for little hands – my granddaughter likes to pile them into her bus and push them around the floor! Wooden toys are very durable in play and this represents excellent value. Drawstring bag is supplied to keep them in, but I imagine it will be the grown-ups putting them back in the bag.

The set is made up of a collection of 8 mountain animal toys. It also comes with a little ‘Snowy Mountain’, made from solid rubber-wood.
I love this set, it is very well made as are all le toy van items.
It allows imaginative play and lets you child learn a few animals and builds on their stacking skills. Perfect.

This is a gorgeous little set of a variety of animals which can be used in a number of ways. It’s marketed as a stacking set and the stacking factor is great fun, much more so than with stacking cups or ordinary blocks. But it’s in imaginative play that this really comes to life. It can be used on its own or with other small animals etc. The colours are lovely and as the wood is stained rather than painted they shouldn’t fade or chip. There’s also a little bag included to keep all the pieces together. Lovely.
The box these animals arrive in is small and unassuming. You then open the box and find a drawstring bag, and inside that bag, each of the animals is individually wrapped in paper.
That alone makes then initial experience nicer and also ensures that the wooden animals are kept in MINT condition before you receive the. As with most Le Toy Van products they are good quality. I a quite pleased with this set.
These are absolutely fabulous and it is nice to see animal sets from a different area of the world. The animals are bright and colourful and the perfect size for small hands to grip and play with. I really like that they have no plastic parts and are made in an ethically friendly way.
This set is more like the older style of wooden play toys and they are no moving or electrical parts and this makes them ideal for imaginative play.
Not only does it encourage th child to make their own games up but also helps with dexterity as the animals can be balanced and stacked.
I just adore these animals and the little drawstring bag that they can be stored in. They are really good quality and I think are a good item for the price. I would definitely but these as I think they are a good durability to them.
Beautifully made set with a good variety of animals included, which are uncommon and different to the usual wooden animals you pick up anywhere. It includes animals such as llama, flamingo and toucan as well as a mountain piece to set the scene.
The idea of the game is to stack up the pieces to make a tower or they can also be used freely for imaginary play. My 2nyear old mostly prefers the imaginary play although has done some stacking too. It’s quite versatile as it is a very open ended toy.

We have other items by Le Toy Van and they’re all pretty good. I think there’s just something about wood that gives it the edge over plastic. These little stacking animals (and a mountain) are great for a spot of child distraction or amusement. The animals can stand on each other without falling over (depending who’s stacking them!) and the set comes in a nice fabric bag so you can take them with you when you visit your great aunt and want to keep a small child amused. The colours are excellent and the idea is great, but they will appeal to adults as well I think. I can envisage some serious stacking games coming on.
My 3 year old Granddaughter doesn’t grasp that they’re animals but just likes to play with them in a variety of ways. This morning they were guarding a castle in the conservatory. This afternoon they were in a pram with her doll. Tomorrow? Who knows.
In this wooden stacking set from Le Toy Van you get 8 wooden animals, a small wooden mountain and a drawstring bag to keep them in, once you have unpacked them from the box. Be aware when you first open the box it contains a silica gel desiccant bag which will need removing. The pieces themselves come wrapped in tissue paper inside the drawstring bag.
If you are buying this as a present for someone else, note that if you get them out of the box and bag to check them over / play with them, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to get them back into the bag and box. If you want to do this – (to check the contents before gifting) – I recommend photographing the tissue paper parcels as you unwrap them, so you know how to put them back together in the box.
The pieces themselves are beautifully made, the edges are smooth and they are lovely to hold. As well as stacking they are good for imaginative play too. So far they have stood up well to being played with. The drawstring bag in our set doesn’t open fully, but I think this is a good thing as it removes the ability to just upend the bag on the table and either lose or damage the pieces. I love that they are made from sustainable materials and they are so tactile that you can’t resist trying to stack them even when there are no children around who might need help.
I wish there was a list of what the animals are because as the children get older they may want to know, presumably they are all native to the Andes. We have them as – jaguar, flamingo, llama, fox, capybara (this is the small brown one, my daughter thinks it’s a rabbit), butterfly, toucan and lizard.
Overall – would make a beautiful present and I think it’s the kind of set (if looked after) that you would hang onto.
Love these, like all Le Toy Van toys. If you have one of their Noah’s Arks these can provide a few more interesting and unusual animals to the collection – and a Mount Ararat too! Though not in twos like the other Ark animals my grandchildren didn’t seem to mind.
Neither I nor they could get them to ‘stack’ very high though.

They arrived all nicely packaged in its own cotton bag, all wrapped up individually in tissue paper so wouldn’t get damaged. They are double sided, faces on both sides; see photos. Any child, young or old, will adore these
