More of a rotating spiral galaxy effect.
Very bright and multi-colourful swirling nebula, and sometimes giving a fascinating 3D effect.
I find the stars, if too bright, tend to detract from the nebula effect.
Having said that, enjoyment would be dramatically improved if the stars had the option to rotate slowly.

This was nice and easy to set up. The colors were bright and vivid. The pattern was nice to look at and easy to operate with the remote control. The bluetooth speaker is not great quality but this is expected. It is still a really nice product. Lights were bright and dimmable as well.

Use this as a night light in the children’s room – and it is really effective. The kids love it and it means that they can have a light that is not too bright but also provides some soothing interaction as they sleep.
We keep it up high so that it doesn’t shine directly in their eyes which can also mean putting something in the way to block the stream of light as this light has a wide angle of dispersion.
I haven’t used the music function as we got it to use purely as a night light. It serves that purpose really well and so I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe video goes into much more detail, including an overview of everything you get, the functions and a demo of the display modes.

    However, in a nutshell:

    Things I liked:
+ The design is fun. The astronaut’s head tilts from side to side and very slightly up and down..
+ The remote control is fairly useful – simple to understand and just the basic functions I would want (including a timer).
+ Battery powered, meaning you don’t need to leave it next to a socket.
+ Remote control and app options, as well as physical on-off buttons. Much more control available from the app.

    Things I didn’t like:
    – Quality of the astronaut’s body feels a bit cheap.
    – Speakers are a bit fuzzy
    – Would have liked more vertical tilting so it can point higher at the ceiling.

    Do I recommend it?
Yes, as long as it’s decent value. I think about 20 (the current selling price after vouchers) is perfect for this. If it’s more than that, you might want to try one of the other options on the listing that are cheaper.

The body of the night sky projection device feels a but cheaply made , the head of the projector feels much better quality so the body just acts as a stand but I feel better detail and more robust, sturdy material would have been better.

You can move the head of the projector, it projects lovely patterns and stars on the ceiling and walls , it’s very easy to use , there are a number of well labelled buttons at the the back that you press for the function you want to control but you also get a handy remote too.

There are a lot of useful features to help aid sleep , it can be used for white noise, music too as well as the colourful light display so it’s a nice bedside companion to have to help you drift off or to use as a speaker , white noise machine or bedside light.

For just under 30 it seems OK, not the most solid build but it’s packed with customisable features and the lights it projects in the dark look beautiful and colourful.

I was sceptical at first with this little robot as it didn’t look well made from the pictures. On arrival though it surprised me. While I’m not a fan of the style chosen, personally think it makes it look a bit cheap and tacky, the quality was actually pretty good.

In terms of the lighting effects, they’re alright but nothing brilliant. I was expecting for this price they would be something more randomized than just a simple spinning shape overlapped. Because of this is looked very simple to me and not like there was much to daze at, though still it was quite relaxing while lying on the bed with the lights off.
The other thing to mention, like others already have, is that the head will not tilt up high enough for you to aim this at the ceiling, therefore you have to lay it down or lean it against something to get it aiming where you want, which I thought personally was a really big design flaw considering they’re marketing it to double up as an ornament that you might not move often.

Battery life sucks. Fully charged it when it arrived and didn’t even make the 3h auto timer before turning off. Basically going to need this to recharge every night you use it if you don’t switch it off before falling to sleep or just use the really short timer settings.

Included music sucks, bluetooth is better but still quite tinny. I think this item just promised a lot, and failed to fully deliver with anything. Considering it’s approaching 50 I would expect at least a couple of those points to be hit.

Overall it’s alright, but wait for a discount. 4/5

I was super looking forward to trying this galaxy projector out for my twins as it is such a cute design and I figured it’d be perfect for their space-themed room. When it arrived I was pleased to see it was rechargeable so you don’t need to have it plugged in as I struggle for free plug sockets in their room. My son tried it out in the kitchen first, and the first thing we both noticed was the head doesn’t tilt up enough so the projection only faces the wall or just a little onto the corner of the ceiling. I only wanted it to project onto the ceiling as this is better for bedtime when they are laying in bed. I also don’t want the light to be shining anywhere near their eye line but no matter how much you try to tilt it, it doesn’t go, so the only solution is to lay him down. Okay, so it’s not the end of the world, but it spoils the whole point of the cute robot as a nice display piece, so I do think this is a bit of a design fault.

The galaxy scene is really quite nice and I like the fact there is soothing music or sounds to choose from. It is also handy that you can use either the remote control or by installing an app on your phone. The app is particularly good if you are downstairs in the evening and want to control the lights/music without having to go into the room and disturb them.

Price-wise, I’m not convinced this is worth just under 40 quid as I have seen others that are a lot less, however, it is still a nice projector. Purely for the reason it doesn’t project onto the ceiling from a standing position, I would rate this 4/5.

4.0 out of 5 stars Has a design fault in my opinion.

This is the second example of a “galaxy” projector I have tried. This one is described as the new 4-in-1 2023 version. It features a robot figure in a brushed gold design. He stands approx 17.5 cms high, and the base measures 8 cms

There are control buttons on the back of his head, which include the on/off button, stars on/off, music mode and light mode. The USB charging port is also here. These are handy for switching between a few presets and turning the display on and off. However, to access all the various functions you do need the remote control or the App.

I downloaded the App via the QR code and I found it very easy to operate. There are three screens, one of which controls the colours, the second controls the music and timer, and the third is an app version of the remote. The inbuilt music has three choices: a) Piano b) Swan Lake with running water or c) jungle sounds.

The Ad states and I quote – “360 rotating head, support vertical & horizontal place position for better projection to the wall/ ceiling/ whole room”. However, I could only rotate his head from side to side which meant the display was only on the wall. To get the display on the ceiling, I had to lie him down flat on his back.

    Pros:
Rechargeable. No need to be plugged into the mains like some other designs.
App – Easy to operate and can control all functions.
Lovely bright colours and stars which are fully customisable.
Cute design which will appeal to kids of all ages.

    Cons:-
Display can only be directed towards a wall, unless the robot is put on his back.
Music sounds very tinny (I chose to mute it)
The black hole effect could appear a little scary for younger children (or maybe I am just of a nervous disposition !) However, to me it resembled a dragon’s eye !!

    Verdict:
I do like the projector, but for me personally I prefer my other galaxy projector I have, which is the Astronaut design. Not only is that one cheaper, but I think the galaxy display without the black hole is much more effective and child friendly.

What sets this one apart, however, is the fact that it is rechargeable, and the great app which makes it so much easier to control. The Astronaut one I have does not have either of these functions.

Thank you for reading and I hope you found my review and video helpful.

What can I say about this!! It’s amazing. I would love to say that I got this to test on my grandchildren, but that would be a lie I got it for ME!

I have always wanted some sort of Galaxy/star light show for night time, since a child myself I have loved being outside at night watching the stars and always wished there was a way to lie in bed and watch them on the ceiling of a 3 bed semi! I’m a terrible sleeper, often waking in the night and not being able to get back to sleep, so I thought this would be perfect to fulfil my childish wish and to aid sleep.
It has a remote control, giving you options for sounds and music, LED display, volume, stars and colours. It has a USB cable and can also be connected to Bluetooth for a personal range of music and sounds.
The vibrancy of the colours is superb, with lovely green stars. It can sync between the whole colour spectrum or you can choose just one. You can also choose the speed that the ‘black hole galaxy’ rotates and changes colour. There is an option to have green stars only or no green stars and just the ‘black hole galaxy’ or both together. The video shows all colours with green stars.
There is music and sounds, but it’s good to play you’re own via Bluetooth.
I used it last night for the first time in bed, it’s actually quite mesmerising and calming, particularly with the water sounds as a background (although that might give you extra trips to the loo later on!) I did wake about 4am, but after watching the swirling for five minutes, the hypnotic effect had me snoozing away in no time.
My grandchildren come for tea tonight, so I think there’ll be a lot of fun to be had for them with this.
The unit is made from plastic so it’s lightweight, the head does move slightly but it doesn’t point to the ceiling, so to get the effect I got in the video, I had to lie it on its back.
I would definitely recommend and already have done so to several friends, particularly with the 40% discount voucher available on it at the moment.

I received this product as part of the Amazon Vine programme. My review is independent and unbiased, based only on my personal experience of the product. I hope you find this helpful.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis device is simply breathtaking for the money. It works by having a simple mottled transparent plastic disc rotating inside, behind which is a high brightness combined RGB led (lens top type) which shines through said disc. Then, what comes out is swirled into the seen “nebula” (vortex) patterns by passing it through a transparent plastic dome with helical lenses moulded into it.

Next to the dome is a green laser diode module, the beam from which is passed through a diffraction grating which then splits it and scatters it into many hundreds of bright green “stars”. I’d caution you regarding the laser, since these “stars” shoot at all manner of angles, and getting one in the eye could cause optical damage!

The “Black Hole LED Star Projector” from “Boricalat” is a mini light projector, which you plug in via a USB lead and it creates an amazing black hole / nebular star effect with multiple options / modes available.

The projector itself looks and feels of a reasonable quality. It appears to be pretty well made and can probably withstand a good few knocks and bumps without suffering any real damage. However, because there’s no separate stand with it, nor is it repositionable, it means you can’t position the projector in different angles easily, so you’re unable to have the projection exactly where you want on the ceiling unless you physically move the projector around your room to find just the right spot. This is a slight disappointment, as other, similar star projectors we’ve had, have been able to be repositioned on standswhich is really handy if the power source you’re relying on isn’t all that close by.

Set up of the projector is incredibly easy. You first need to pull the small plastic tag on the remote control that comes with it, so the battery that’s inside is engaged. Then plug in the projector (using the included USB lead), and away you go!

The remote control (and the buttons on the side of the projector unit) provide loads of functionality for the projector. Furthermore, you can download an App using the included instruction manual and control the projector using your phone (see screenshots from the App showing such functionality). Also, the projector can act as a portable speaker and when paired with your phone, you can you’re your music through it. The sound quality is reasonable, however it should be noted the speaker is located on the base of the projector unit. Furthermore, the music has absolutely no effect on the projections.

The projector is not a rechargeable one which you can charge up and then use without a power supply. If you want to use it in a portable capacity then you’ll need to use a powerbank and connect it up with that. Simple!

All in all the kids and I are very happy with the black hole projector. It works well and really does add a great atmosphere to a room — particularly for film nights with the family etc.

LED Night Light Galaxy Star Projector Music Speaker.

Fantastic product I was blown away when I turned this product on. I didn’t expect it to light up and cover the whole room. It really takes you to another world and I know that my nephews are going to love this lamp.

    Contents include:
    1x Lamp
    1x Remote Control
    1x Power Cable

Bluetooth connectivity. You can connect your phone and have music playing through the built in speaker. The quality of the speaker is reasonable.

Product comes with a remote control with lots of different settings for you to choose from, including what colours you would like, the turning speed, music settings, timers and so on.

Another nice feature is that you can have the light show change with the rhythm of the music.

Comes with an App to control the settings which is a very useful alternative to the remote control.

I feel that the position of the lamp should be high up for the safety of children. These products have bright lights and lasers and it is recommended that people don’t look directly at the lights. Careful consideration on the positioning of this product should be taken.

Overall I think this product is really beautiful and will trance any baby to sleep or can be a fun disco light for parties. I think this product is great and I highly recommend i

I have used many of these in my time. This projector is tiny, much better than the bigger ones. Doesnt take up much space.
Works absolutely fine, no issues. Used it with power bank.
Has a remote control, can change it to so many different colours.
Good quality! I do recommend it, can make great present.

A simple to use starlight LED projector that helps my son to sleep better at night. Included in the package are the projector itself, remote control, USB charging cable, and instruction manual.

My 5-year old son is mad about the universe, stars, planets, etc. He’s autistic with speech delay issues. For bedtime stories, he would ask me to read him books on these subjects so I thought a star LED projector would be a great realistic bedtime experience for him. And I was right. It’s much easier for him to fall asleep now. He also looks forward to going to bed, and the bedtime routine has been easier since we have this projector.

The product works as you’d expect it to. It has completely transformed his bedroom into a mesmerising, surreal, and hypnotic atmosphere. It has a star, a moon, cloud, ocean wave, and can even play light music, even though I have to admit I have not bothered with it because we have much, much better bluetooth speakers in the room. The audio is fine but nothing spectacular, however it’s not too bad. The lights can be controlled by an app, but we like a simple way so we have not connected it to the app yet.

It comes with a remote that’s simple to use. It has loads of different colours, you can also adjust the brightness, volume, or change the lighting modes.

Overall, it works as expected, so I have no complaints.

LED Night Light,Galaxy Star Projector Music Speaker,Timer Ocean Wave Light, Disco Light Party Light Disco Ball Light Birthday Present for Kids Adults Teens Bedroom Home Kitchen Decor is currently at the price of 14.07 (with an extra 12% off voucher) including next day quick delivery and 30 days returns if anything goes wrong with the item.
I recommend charging the headset overnight so it is all ready to go in the morning when you have to start work.
The galaxy projector comes with, a charging USB cable, a small remote to operate the projector and a manual on how to use it. The USB charging cable is a pretty standard cable that will be easily replaceable if lost or damaged by accident.
When you switch on the projector, it will light up straight away on the last used colour and star function. To change the colours and intensity of the stars (lasers), you will have to use the remote buttons called Colour Mode – there are 8 of them, and the last one is the flash mode. The laser mode switches the galaxy circle on and off. You can choose the speed of how fast you want the colourful clouds to move or just make it static. All those options are via remote but you can make some changes too via the buttons on the projector.
When you switch on the projector, the Bluetooth function will switch on automatically as well – you can connect it to your phone (or tablet/computer) easy by searching in Bluetooth. I recommend changing a name after connecting so you will recognise it easier in future.
Once connected you can use the projector as a speaker and press the PLAY Mode option so the lights will change to the sound of music.
You can plug in a TF card into the projector too and play music from there.
Overall, it is a really cool projector to have either for kids or adults and I would recommend this choice.
