Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat little set made even better with the shiny stickers. Ideal size that fits in well with the Lego Creator range of cars. My son’s had loads of fun helping to build and play with this set. Definitely a set I would recommend.

Very decent set, builds well, and looks nice.

Although have to say it’s certainly not the best technics car set within its normal price range, hence I couldn’t give it 5 stars.

At full price it’s not worth it, you’d be better with an alternative set, but if you manage to get it heavily discounted like I did, then it’s worth it for sure.

I built this with my 9 year old nephew who is really into his cars. It took us around 1 week doing an hour or so after school every day. He has done a few simple lego sets on his own before however this one was a little too complicated for him, especially putting the fiddly stickers on!

Inside the box you get an instruction booklet, four bags of pieces, and a set of tyres. The instructions are split up into 4 sections which correspond to the bags, there are plenty of pictures that are in colour making it easy to work out which piece is which. There are approx 140 pages in the instructions.

At one point in the process I thought we had a piece missing therefore I went on the lego website, entered the set number and had a replacement piece sent to me free of charge. Typically the piece was included but fell under the sofa however the customer service was effortless and really worth noting.

Once built the car is of a good size, you can lift up where the ‘engine’ is housed and is really interested seeing how everything connects together to make the wheels turn.

I don’t think you have to be a fan of Nascar to appreciate or enjoy this set, it’s a brilliant build for 35.40 (at time of writing).

What can I say, this is an amazing addition to Lego. These cars are fantastic and a must for anyone who collects the cars!

At just 5, my daughter is a huge Lego fan having built the Arendelle Castle and the Madrigal house largely by herself. I ordered this to add to her collection but with it being ‘Technic’ it’s slightly more advanced so I decided to put this one away and wait until she was a little older. She has no idea what ‘Nascar’ is but I know her dad will really enjoy helping her build this one.

This set comes in the traditional Lego box, with the individual pieces bagged into four sections. The instruction book is easy to follow and illustrates how to assemble the car piece by piece.
There are various stickers to bring this NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro to life.

This set is great for kids and adults, basically, anyone who is either a Lego fan or a Nascar fan would love this as gift.

Lego is really expensive these days so I do think the current price of 44.56 is very reasonable.

I built this with the little one who is ten. She enjoys Lego immensely and although it is quite intricate, with a bit of patience even small hands can get this built.

It looks amazing in my display cabinet!

    Would highly recommend.

I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme.
An excellent NASCAR Camaro model from Lego: quite a challenging build for a 9 year-old I think, but a good opportunity for adult/child time together.
Lacking a 9 year-old, I’m building this myself (haven’t finished it yet): the kit comes in four separate bags and has instructions divided for each.
As usual with Lego, all the parts are well made and the instructions are clear and well illustrated. There is also a phone app available but I did not access this (nice to have anyway).
Quite a lot of stickers to finish the build off, they look well printed and of good quality but I haven’t got far enough to apply them yet.
Retailing at 44.56 it’s not cheap but compared to what you pay for some of the smaller kits I think it’s better value: a substantial build, visually impressive when completed. I’m looking forward to finishing it.
    5 stars.

This arrives in a full colour printed Lego box measuring approx 38cm x 26cm x 7cm.

It would be easy to wrap & make a great gift for any Lego car or Nascar enthusiasts aged 9 & up.

This is a decent build other than the vast amount of stickers included & once finished makes a nice display piece.

You can rotate the front wheels in order to ‘pose’ the car too, which is a nice touch.

It looks great on the shelf, but also has some decent play value for those who interact with their Lego, so works both for children & adults as a set.

I was absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to review this Lego Technic Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (42153). I’m always impressed at the detail Lego designers are able to capture when creating vehicles, whether they are the large builds or small Speed Champions. As a small to middle sized car this is impressive as always.

My main criticism lies with the number of stickers. From Lego’s point of view it’s cheaper to have stickers than printed pieces. And this is unavoidable with the livery involved on a racing car (NASCAR in this case). But it is always a shame to see such a dependency on stickers and I wish there was more printed parts here. The good thing is that it does allow you to build without the livery if you choose.

Overall this is a great car build regardless of whether you are a fan of NASCAR or not. This is also a great way to introduce children who are confident building Lego to Lego Technic. There’s gears involved to build the moving pistons which are a lovely bit of detail.

This was a really enjoyable build from start to finish and my 5yo son really enjoyed building this (with help especially with some smaller pieces/finer details). At 44.99 it’s good value and will be even better when discounted.

The instructions were easy to understand. The Lego pieces came in 4 separate bags. It does take quite a while to build it, but once it’s done it looks great. Great collectable piece.
Well made, and it would make a really great present.

This is a lego technics car build set. It is to the usual high lego standard and the design and build process are excellent. The finished car is perfect as a display model. I would consider this to be an intermediate technics set as some of the construction is a little bit tricky, particularly for younger kids, but nothing that isn’t achievable.

It’s a very nice lego set for fans.

This is a nice LEGO kit, enabling you to construct a NASCAR Chevrolet Camaro. The build for an adult male is not too demanding and the completed model looks really nice. As ever, another cool motorcar from LEGO.

It is enjoyable to construct this model. As the parts are packed and labelled, and it has excellent illustrated guidance as well;)

Although I must confess that I have no interest in Nascar or races in general, building this is exciting.

… and as expected from Lego, this is a high-quality product.

LEGO Technic is the more advanced model sets to build. This set, split into 4 bags is a fun and challenging without being too difficult to build LEGO sets of the NASCAR range. The instructions are pictorial and very easy to follow with a target age range of 9+ so great for experience younger builders and my 8yr Nephew enjoyed building it with me over around 4-5hrs on a Saturday. There are a lot of stickers to be applied for the decals so a steady hand will be needed but this is a fantastic example of the genius LEGO Technic style of LEGO sets. Very fun to build and looks great to display too.

Made by the best building block company in the world, cant ask for more. Built this with my 9 year old boy and took us best part of half a day. instructions was perfectly written and perfect illustration too. we had loads of fun, nice spending time together doing something together. really was satisfying seeing him do something apart from on his iPad. there was some hard parts which he got wrong but nice to help him out. the car turned out very nice and size, the car itself moves very smooth and turns great. defiantly recommend this for any kid, there’s many more different vehicles for you to buy and make a collection. I will be buying more myself as my son loves this (the F1 car next).

Good quality, sturdy enough and good price. To spend time putting together one of these, you have got something to look at and try to see how it works and react with each other when you have made more than one. Cheers

As with the numerous other lego sets of various kinds my son has had throughout the years, this TECHNIC NASCAR set was excellent. It came securely boxed and the lego pieces were split between four bags. The instruction booklet clearly showed how to build the model in four stages corresponding to each of the four bags.

Stickers to enhance the model were included and these nicely finished off the model. There were no pieces missing but in common with other Lego sets in the past there were a few odd pieces remaining at the end.

The finished model looks impressive and has an opening ‘hood’ as the Americans say and moving parts in the engine.

This is a quality product as you would expect from lego and is a good way of spending an afternoon (or longer) being creative and dexterous. There is a phone app that you could access to accompany the instructions but it’s really not needed as the instruction booklet is -as always with Lego – very clear.

I thoroughly recommend this as a great purchase .

    An excellent Lego build.
Nice glossy instruction book with very clear pictures and details of how to build. I didn’t struggle to understand any of the build steps and it went very smoothly.
Build time took about 3 hours all in and was really fun. If you’re experienced at the whole Lego thing you could do it faster.
Some nice details in the build like the drivetrain which moves the cranks and pistons in the engine as well as the steering system.
I’ll be happy to display this on my shelf in the office as it was a great build and a great end product.
    Highly recommend

This Lego build has 672 pieces which means its not going to take too long to build
The instructions are easy to follow but as there are many small parts, I recommend it for children aged 9 and over or even 10 years. It’s Lego so it’s a quality product and it is a real pleasure to assemble. Recommended

LEGO Technic is known for their intricate and detailed construction sets that teach children the principles of engineering, and the LEGO 42153 Technic NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Model Car Building Kit is no exception. This toy racing vehicle is a collectible piece that comes with 504 pieces, and is designed for kids aged 9 and up.

The model car building kit is packed with true-to-life features, including a V8 engine with moving pistons, steering, and an opening hood. The striking color scheme and detailed design make it a great addition to any LEGO Technic car collection, and it looks fantastic on display.

The instruction manual is very clear and easy to follow, and is divided into four sections that correspond to the four bags of pieces. All instructions are pictorial and in color, and a progress bar along the bottom of the manual shows how far you are through the build. At the end of the manual is a list of all the parts, with part numbers, which is helpful in case any pieces are missing.

There is a phone app available for both Apple and Android devices that can supplement the instructions, but it is not necessary to use it. Building this model car is a chance to get away from screens and enjoy a hands-on construction experience.

Once completed, the LEGO Technic NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Model Car is quite impressive. Lift the hood and see the rear wheels drive the pistons up and down in the engine, while a knob on the back of the body turns the front wheels via an ingenious rack & pinion system. It’s an engaging and interactive toy that kids can play with, or it can be proudly displayed as part of a collection.

Overall, this is an enjoyable build that may take a bit of time to get right, but is worth it in the end. It’s a good choice for a school holiday or a weekend project that can keep kids entertained for more than a couple of minutes. The LEGO 42153 Technic NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Model Car Building Kit would make a great gift too.

I am not a NASCAR fan, so I can’t verify the verisimilitude of this model. I can say it was fun to build and the final result looks cool.

Assembly is challenging without being frustrating. The instructions are comprehensive and the parts are bagged to match the stages, so you don’t need to worry about losing future parts or sifting through irrelevant pieces. There’s a nice little progress bar at the bottom of the pages. You do need to pay attention to the exact orientation of all parts – I had one incident where I had a piece upside down and it prevented the drive shaft from turning – fortunately an easy mistake to notice and rectify.

I’m not sure how long assembly took me since I tended to pick away at it while watching football, but I’d estimate 2-3hrs.

The production quality is fantastic, as you’d expect from Lego. Each tough and shiny ABS piece fits perfectly and is a joy to work with. There are a fair number of custom pieces to this model, mostly in the bodywork. I reckon you could make a few alternative models using these parts with a little imagination, though. The classic Gundam springs to mind with this colour scheme.

There’s also a good amount of interactivity with the finished model. There’s a knob at the back that will turn the front wheels and the bonnet flips up to reveal the engine and its pistons that move along with the wheels. Check out the video attached to this review to see it in action.

This is an enjoyable build that takes a bit of time to get right, but would be a good choice for a school holiday to entertain minds for more than a couple of minutes. We took our time putting this together, conscious that it is easy to make a mistake and perhaps end up with a model bike instead of a car, but it isn’t difficult and the instructions are pretty straightforward if you have made Lego models before and know the pitfalls to watch out for (some of those small pieces are really difficult to differentiate between).

The finished model is good for display although the maker has decided it needs to be played with (moving wheels and engine parts make this appealing). It’s a great car, whether for display or play and a lovely stocking filler or birthday gift for an 8 plus.

I really like this set, the overall shape of the car really captures the mean and fast look of a Chevy Camaro. The level of detail is my favorite feature, there are many stickers in this set, which is a big plus for me. The NASCAR livery looks amazing on top of the red, white, and blue Camaro.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis model took me a day to build – a couple of hours before lunch and a couple of hours after lunch – so not too arduous but still satisfying.

I’m not sure if I would have had the patience to do this when I was 9, though I am sure a lot of 9-year-olds will be more than capable of building this. Having said that, in a few places it would have been easier with child hands rather than 60-year-old hands, especially putting the stickers on.

The instructions are very clear, split into four sections that correspond to the four bags of pieces. All the instructions are pictorial and in colour. There is a sort of progress bar along the bottom that shows how far you are through the build which is a nice touch but a bit redundant – if you are halfway through the 140-page book then you know you are about halfway to completing.

At the end of the instruction book is a list of all the parts, with part numbers. If any pieces are missing you can go to the Lego website and order replacements. In this case there were no pieces missing, but I have had to order a replacement part in the past and it is very easy, although Lego very rarely leave anything out. In fact there were a few spares left over at the end.

There is a phone app (Apple and Android) that can supplement the instructions, but I did not use it. I’m sure it is very good, but I think that building a Lego model is a chance to get away from screens for a bit.

Once complete, the car is quite impressive. Lift the bonnet up and you can see how the rear wheels drive the pistons up and down in the engine. A knob on the back of the body turns the front wheels via an ingenious rack & pinion system.

I will admit to having no interest whatsoever in Nascar or motorsport generally, but this was fun to build, even for a 60-year-old!

This is medium size LEGO teschinc set. You can make a great car. This type of LEGO is for bigger kids, as there are elements that may be tricky to out together for little kids. I would recommend this set for 9-12 years old (unless really into LEGO they may be still into it). LEGO is the best present to give to kids (keeps them away from the screen and it is creative). If you do not know what to get child for a present – give them LEGOs (just be careful when buying for ages 12+ as they may not be into it).
That being set I highly recommend this set. I would buy again and I would recommend. I hope my review and photos were helpful
