I recently bought my second Lego set on a whim, and I couldn’t be happier with it. The box was a little damaged, but that doesn’t bother me because I’m not a serious collector. Definitely getting the speed bike chase next.
This is a really a very designed and well put together product. Good fun to build and looks excellent. If you like Star Wars and LEGO it’s a winner. Good to look at and adaptable so can change the diarama around.
Exactly the quality and ease of build you’d expect from Lego! We are a holdhold of Lego and Star Wars fans so have more than our fair share and this takes pride of place in our collection while maintaining its playability.
Wanted something Star Wars related to give as a gift to our daughter who is a huge Star Wars fan — indeed she recently attended the Star Wars Celebration event in London – and has just secured her first job! When I saw the LEGO 75352 Star Wars Emperor’s Throne Room set was available as a 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi, I immediately ordered it as I knew she would be thrilled. The set comes in a typical Lego branded cardboard box which in this case contains some 807 pieces to be assembled into an accurate replication of the famous throne room scene and the set actually rotates.
In terms of the actual set once built (which took her around 3 hours over two nights) it seems robust enough for a bit of imaginary role play with the figures, the attention to detail is excellent in typical Lego fashion, and it depicts the famous scene very well and. Our daughter was delighted with the finished product and has vowed that this will be just the beginning of a collection that it appears we have started by gifting this to her. Obviously this is not a cheap item, probably some licensing and other franchise costs will have been involved but at an RRP of 89.99 (currently 20% off at 71.99) for something this size it appears steep to me but then I am not fanatically immersed in the universe so I don’t count! Overall this gave her great pleasure and I know she has it in pride of place amongst all of the Star Wars memorabilia, movies and figures. The force was strong with this diorama, I think we chose rather well.
This is an awesome 807 piece Lego set to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Return of the Jedi.
The scene consists of the Emperor’s throne room and includes figures of Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader and Emporor Palpatine.
The quality and detail of the scene is brilliant, displayed with a commemorative plaque with the famous quote “I am a Jedi like my father before me”. It states for over 18+ years, so is more of collectors item than a toy, but it makes a great centre piece on a book shelf or desk nonetheless.
Makes a great gift for a Star Wars fan or for an avid collector.
Another amazing build courtesy of Lego; this builds incorporates some great techiniques that will occupy the builder allowing you to set the scene for the showdown of the light and dark sides.
Minifigures are great and the chair is a nice design capturing the shape of the on screeen throne.
Price wise is not the best but it is worth it to add this to your collection, it sits great alongside previous releases and matches up pretty well in height and scale.
We’ve loved this build my son of 7 attempted this solo and for an afternoon he mostly achieved it! The final scene is reminiscent of the movie has a good detail level and is a sturdy build allowing it to be played with easily. It looks amazing on display and I can see why collectors would love it.
Nice collectors item. Definitely not aimed for kids. Beautiful detailing and obviously top quality as Lego always is. Took me few days to assemble, no pieces were missing. Wouldn’t say it’s hard to complete but definitely takes time.
Never having owned a Star Wars Lego set, I was thrilled at the opportunity to review this. I’ve seen a few Star Wars movies, but have not delved into the universe too much, so I feel lucky to look at this set almost objectively.
This set is a diorama capturing an iconic scene that even I remember really well from Return of the Jedi; The Emperor’s Throne Room battle. This set definitely feels like it is aimed at collectors or older Star Wars fans who are likely to buy this out of nostalgia. The key reason for this being it is a diorama; a static memorable scene from the movie. As such, there’s no playability encouraged here. You can pose the minifigs in different places and you can spin old Palpy’s chair, but that’s about it. This is a cosmetic show piece.
The build is satisfying; in particular the technical way in which the arch surrounding the throne is formed and also the window within. There’s certainly some appreciation to the designers of this set in how they have managed to recreate this scene. Unlike the Endor Speed Chase diorama which feels a little incomplete since there is no background and the forest is not so dense, this set frames itself very nicely and really does create a small snapshot of a scene. And the end result looks fantastic.
Overall, this set does look fantastic in it’s own right. At 89.99 (RRP at time of review), this does feel very expensive for a set that will just sit on a shelf, especially with an 807 piece count and extremely limited playability. However, if that is your thing, you’ll love it as it would look absolutely great on a shelf next to the movies.
Currently priced at 89.55 at time of review.
This is a Star Wars lego set
Emperors throne room
807 pieces.and says 18+.
To pay this price for Lego you really need to be a Star Wars fan.
Very gift-able
This is a fantastic challenge to build and a real favourite so far. As usual with Lego everything was brilliantly packed and labelled and instructions were great. The downside is the box which I feel they could always make better by making them easier to get into/ and re lose to enable the Lego to be stored in it after use however once you open the box it then becomes useless as it’s glued and ripped.
Anyway other than that it’s a great product and I really enjoyed i
This is a very detailed and rewarding display set from LEGO. I would say it is very much a static model for shelf display rather than a play set, and it is intended for people that want to make this specific scene as the “price per brick” isn’t very competitive with other, simpler, Lego sets. But if you have found memories of this iconic movie scene then you’re going to love it.
The model is far more rewarding than I expected. When viewed it is extremely evocative of the movie scene and it really sparks joy in everyone that sees it. A premium set for sure, one for collectors rather than kids. Totally recommended.
An amazing Lego kit for one of the most iconic scenes in Star Wars.
Some of these new sets are a great way to celebrate the 40th anniversary
This is over 800 pieces and is fun to assemble alone or with a friend. As with all Lego it comes with great instructions and a way to follow pictures.
Overall I love this and it’s a great addition to my collection!
The LEGO 7352 Star Wars throne room set is a must-have for anyone whose a fan of the Star Wars LEGO sets – what’s unique about this is that it’s a limited edition 40th anniversary set.
The set features a highly detailed recreation of the Emperor’s throne room scene – and comes with 3 LEGO minifigures; Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and Emperor Palpatine.
This was a really cool build from a great movie – I think it’s an absolutely fantastic set and it looks great!
Excellent value for money; high quality and impressive – recommended!
I absolutely love this “Star Wars”, 40th anniversary set.
So this set has a great aesthetic, and is an impressive size, I’m not sure what I expected, but this is more impressive than whatever it was, I think it looks great.
Now something I really liked about this set, is the instructions, they are clear, easy to follow, and the diagrams and text are a decent size. Fact is I sat making this in one go, and I think a testament to the set is that at no point did I feel bored, or frustrated, quite the opposite, it was somewhat exciting to watch it take shape, and as I added the details, to the main part, it just looked better and better, and became more and more, a true portrayal of the “Star Wars” universe, which I absolutely love.
So it comes with arguably 3 of the most wanted figures, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and the Emperor, all of which I think look great. I love the way they have made Darth Vaders helmet work, in parts to be fitted as opposed to just making it 1 solid piece, I like how they did it better.
As I sat making this it became more and more solid and detailed, but it just felt sturdier as I went. I love the fact there are options too, I can give the Emperor SFX of “Energy” from his hands, or use those to show power on the “Throne set”, I also like the fact that instead of just some moulded plastic for their capes, they actually have “material capes”, I think thats a great touch.
The build quality of all the pieces is very nice, they are all precise, with clean, crisp edges, adn fit together just how they should.
All in all, this is a fantastic set, with a real presence when made up and sitting in front of me.
It’s a great set.
What kid doesn’t love LEGO? And how many generations have grown up with Star Wars now?
But, really, this LEGO set isn’t aimed at kids. Partly the price but, also, what 9 or 10 year old is going to appreciate the ’40 year anniversary’ plaque on the model.
This is really aimed at those ‘big kids’ (I don’t mean that in a derogatory way – I’m one myself!), those for who the first Star Wars trilogy changed their whole outlook on life and opened up a whole new world of adventure and cinema! This is who will appreciate this set.
As I said in the title, this is not cheap but, if you know someone like that, this is a perfect birthday or Christmas gift, combining the wonderful memories of the films with the fun and creativity of LEGO modelling. So cool!
LEGO and Star Wars – surely two of the best things ever – made even better when combined into one. This diorama is one of a number of sets available showing different scenes from the Star Wars Movies. This time it is the iconic Lightsabre dual in Emperor’s Throne Room (from Return Of The Jedi.)
The set comprises of more than 800-pieces, which did take a bit of time to built, but it was fun and the instructions were perfectly clear. The end result looks amazing, especially the Death Star window, the attention in detail to the mini-figures, and the overall glossy smoothness to the entire set. It sits nicely when completed and is finished off by a cool plaque and quotation. Overall a great and well designed set that is worth every penny now and in the future (in a Galaxy far, far away).
Lego has always been expensive for the size you get but they always win with quality! Easy to follow instructions and it’s kepy my husband busy for a couple of hours so far (and quiet) Its not the biggest of pieces but the finishes product will be worth it when he gets there! This is perfect for any star wars lover who enjoys spending time still playing with ‘toys’. As always with any lego product it’s a definite yes from us, we reccomend!
As a huge Star Wars fan, I was excited to get my hands on the Star Wars Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama. It’s a fantastic set that captures the essence of Return of the Jedi’s iconic lightsaber duel. The details are impressive, and the set is easy to assemble (it took me about two and half hours).
The minifigures of the Emperor, Darth Vader, and Luke Skywalker are excellent, and each has their own lightsaber. I love that the set is modular, making it easy to display as a diorama or take apart and play with individually.
The only reason I’m giving this set four stars instead of five is that it’s a bit on the expensive side for its size. However, the attention to detail and the fact that it’s the 40th-anniversary edition of Return of the Jedi makes it a must-have for any Star Wars collector or fan.
This is a build yourself collectable with 807 pieces, that replicates a scene from Star Wars. The box is marked 18+, probably due to the small parts, and maybe the number of components. The finished model is 170 mm high (6.5 inches) and 210mm wide (8 inches).
As you would expect from Lego, the pieces are nicely made and separate; that is they are not connected to a plastic “tree” were the pieces have to be cut or twisted off. Pieces are in numbered clear bags, so there is less likelyhood of losing them. The booklet is great, with good sequenced illustrations of the construction; a nice change from some construction kits. There is also a QR code to download the booklet. At 807 pieces, this will absorb some time. On the downside, the three figures whilst true to Lego, are a little naff. Whilst the box has an FSC logo, it could have been thicker cardboard.
This would make a good present, particulalrly for the darker, colder months. It would also be just the thing during recovery from an illness or injury. I would have found this theraputic during illness.
The Lego 75352 Star Wars emperors throne room Dicorama, return of the Jedi 40th Anniversary is one of those special editions, one to can complete on your own or with family. There are actually several of these floating a bout around the same price. Certainly a keepsake should you never want to actually put the Lego together, but save in the box for years to come.
Anyone who knows about this Lego set will be in for a treat.
Age wise states over 36 months, or three years.. I feel it is better for an older child who can respect the nature of the dual set. It is or will be a collectible so great care is needed here.
There are a lot of Lego pieces and will need some time to complete. I would first count out the pieces, a pain I know, however a must, because it has been known Lego has been missing, and so much harder to return if that’s the case, when half way made up. There are 807 pieces in all.
An excellent keepsake and for true die hard fans.
I recommend, just take your time
Thank you to the selle
