These really do look good the ambient lighting looks lovely in all colours behind the tv.
The stris stay bonded even when the Tv has been on a long time and has warmed up.
bought these to replace some that just wouldn’t stick, the back of my Panasonic is pimpled like a table tennis bat but I cant do without them deu to the light preceptors in my eyes are damaged and need a light behind the TV, dusted the back of the TV peeled off the backing of the lights and that was that, I keep checking and the lights are still stuck, the light is just right not too strong or week what we used to call ambiant.
They was easy to put on but very upset that they all don’t work and the remote doesn’t work so u can’t turn it off or colour not to buy agai
Make sure you try and work out where to stick these down before removing the backing because the second it touches the back of the tv it was so sticky we couldn’t remove it to reposition- luckily we managed to get away with it.
The illumination shows up better in the evening when darker as expected but has the desired effect we were after. Would definitely recommend as it does look smart.
Good price and a very good product. Very strong adhesion and I have been able to unstick and rearrange on many occasions. Bright as any I’ve ever used. Very happy.
Made our living room much better but half of the adhesive on those didn’t stick,it could be the plastics on the TV . Anyway I used tape for safety so they won’t fall. They keep the colour and they turn on and off with the TV ( assuming you connected them to the Tvs usb port).
They are not very bright but again…
You don’t expect everything but pay so little.
I’d say was a good buy and I’m sure they will last for years.
Great price , the lights feel well made and connected via USB was super easy, great range of colours and brightness, creates a nice atmospheric feel in my sons bedroom, in his words ” they’re really cool” .
Plenty of colour choices; some brighter than others; all the remote functions work.
Mine is mounted under the glass top of a computer desk to shine onto the keyboard tray underneath and illuminate keyboard. The strips happened to be the exact length of the keyboard.
Decent length of USB cable. Adhesive good; and fitted it in a couple of minutes.
Got it for my boy’s 6th birthday. He loves the lights. It’s easy for him to control and very convenient that it plugs into the tv’s usb slot rather than requiring a plug.
My only issue with them is that they quite often randomly switch on through the night. The solution is just to switch the tv off at the wall when going to bed. No drama for the wee one’s room but might be a bit of a pain for people who have the sockets hidden,
At 10, you definitely can’t go wrong!
Originally they weren’t working for me but now work perfectly thanks to this simple fix that some may find helpful. I have seen a lot of complaints regarding it turning off almost instantly after being plugged in – if this includes you – you may want to check the output of the plug you are using. This is usually engraved somewhere on the plug (e.g. 1A) it is worth noting 2 amps (A) is needed to power these lights, any less than 2A will not allow them to turn on. Hope this helps.
Overall, really easy to use and impactful when positioned correctly. I put mine too deep behind the TV so it didn’t really show up on the wall, but I unstuck and moved it much nearer the edge and that worked. The strips weren’t long enough for me to place in a rectangle position so I ended up halving them and using one strip along the bottom of my TV which illuminates my TV cabinet.
Bought this for a 32″ LG TV, the precut length actually works well for 32 inch sized TVs in a snake/S formation with the four strips like the demo image. The adhesive bounds very well, I think it depends on the material used on different TVs which is why some reviews vary on how well it sticks.
Running them off USB power alone works but I think the USB port on LG TVs is designed for storage devices and data sharing, which makes it underpowered. I noticed when selecting the white colour as a solid colour setting or in one of the transition settings like smooth or fade it also causes the strips to flicker off and on again. I’ve confirmed when the USB is plugged into a plug at the mains this doesn’t happen, so it suggests there’s not enough voltage going to it to light all the LEDs as white if you lower the brightness setting this can also resolve the issue. All the other RGB colours work though on the max brightness. There is an advantage to running it off the TV USB power however, it will in most cases automatically cut power to the LED strips as when the TV goes into standby this cuts power to the USB port. Some TVs may or may not do this and you might have to use the remote to manually turn them on or off.
