Lexar is a well known brand that makes great products and this is no exception. The card is very fast be it read or wright and the only cards I would use in my cameras
Love this reader , as pc did not have a cardreader , do a lot of photography and this one is idea , as it reads both sorts of cards photo and vid , and over 64mbs – would buy again happy –
Straightforward, Just Works, no problems. I haven’t been able to test the top speed as I don’t have any cards that fast – bought this one for futureproofing rather than immediate need.
The only disadvantage to this cable-less design is that the width stops it from being plugged in right next to another device. Kinda inevitable, given the size of an SD card.
I am not a professional photographer, but I have found Lexar to be incredibly reliable on wildlife trips abroad to everywhere from Arctic Norway and Finland to Bornean rainforest. I have never had a card fail. I know that professionals do see this regularly, but for my rate of shooting I always have confidence in this brand.
Can’t tell its quality until I use it and I buy sd cards before they’re needed. If it is as fast as it says on the ‘tin’ … Awesome… Remains to be seen. But I’ll take the risk and buy a 2bd one. Tried to when buying this one but amazon website wouldn’t allow it. I wonder why.
Bought this as transferring my photos in raw from camera card to pc was taking about 3hours with previous reader. This does it in 15-20mins so huge improvement.
Doesn’t get hot. Easy to plug and play. Not noticed any scratches on card pins.

I have been using Sandisk SD cards since they are reliable and cheaper than Lexar but I had a wedding function to attend abroad and was to take photos as a family photographer. I didn’t want to take a chance with old SD cards so I decided to buy Lexar for the first time. I have now discovered that these are faster than equivalent speed cards so I am now convinced to invest in Lexar. They work flawlessly with Lexar card reader and speed to download photos is astonishingly fast.
I am nikon shooter and own Nikon D750 and D7200. I would highly recommend these cards for photography and video.
I had a normal USB 2.0 card reader before, that took ages to copy images from SD card to computer. Say it would take 10-15 min to copy ~10GB images. I was bit reluctant to buy this product due the higher price and one day I noticed it came on limited time deal on a bargain price, immediately bought it. No regrets, absolutely love it. Its small, robust, built to last and looks great. Gone those days of waiting, now files are copied in lighting speed.. brilliant !
