Installation instructions were clear
Connecting to 2 headset was easy and connection was very clear
Range not tested to date as we have been 2 up
Raised buttons helpful to change use / volume during ride
Radio reception a little unclear but trying to find a clearer station
One headset stop taking charge..nearly 2 years after it was purchasedI contacted Lexin directly with my order number etc and they replaced it for me no problem..it arrived the day after they dispatched.
Customer service was faultless in my experience!!
Still enjoying the headset and will likely invest in more for different Helmets we have.
got it for my husband for his birthday, he’s really happy with it.
Bought product for travelling to France easy set up clear sound
Finally took these out in a real world test on my Harley Fatboy with twin vance and hines hitting 90-98db and I must say these did not faulter. Clarity, volume and ease of connecting were exactly what I was after and exactly what I got, very happy bunny. 🙂
Nicely presented with well written instructions for installation and use.
Product and accessories are of good quality and fitting to two different helmets was straightforward.
They connected easily and quickly as described in the manual. Conversations are very clear and comfortably loud enough to be heard.
Looking forward to testing these on my next enduro outing but very happy indeed with this purchase.
Even at 70 mph I can still hear my passenger. I’m very happy with them
I’ve had this product for around 6 months now and has worked great, the intercoms was surprisingly easy to install on my agv k3 helmet and the quality and volume is more than enough for riding on the road even at motorway speed. There was a issue I had with one of the devices so I got in contact with lexin to ask about warranty and the customer service was brilliant as they replied to me within the day and was more than happy to help me out with my situation, overall great product easy to install and would recommend to anyone else looking for a intercom
My wife and I use these units when we are out together on our bike. We wish we’d bought them sooner as it makes it much more pleasant to be able to chat while riding. When alone I use one unit to listen to directions from the TomTom app on my phone. That has been helpful too on a number of occasions when I would otherwise have missed a turn because I wasn’t paying attention to the map.
(I don’t have good pics of this thing but I guess here you go _()_/ )
Installation: it’s like any other comm, neatly tidy all the cables, put the microphone slightly to the side of your mouth & nose and tighten the mount for the actual comm.
Sound Quality: for the price and make (had never heard of this brand before buying) it’s pretty good. Will say that after high speeds it becomes difficult to understand the other person could also be because of the helmet choice or no earplugs _()_/
Battery Life: no joke had this thing running for 6 hours playing music and then after left on accidentally when I woke up the next day I still had 50% percent take that as you will
Side note: I will say that the music share feature is cool but a b**** to set up. It’s a lot of trial n error but when you’re on the road you don’t have time for that.
Took a bit to fit but managed it, not the easiest to setup but once setup the intercom works really well between the two headsets, have not been able to add 3rd headset. Hard to use buttons while wearing gloves but if left on intercom battery lasts very well
If you aren’t bothered for reading all I could say about these wee units then this should be sufficient. I ride a Harley, it’s pretty loud, and I wear earplugs, but with my Mrs on the back, we can still talk and hear each other up to about 60mph when wind noise starts to intrude.
So positives, I bought the twin pack and I thought this was very good value for two sets under 150.
The fitting instructions were clear ( print is a bit small in the manual!…maybe it’s an age thing?) and I was impressed with the amount of stickies, pads, velcro pads and fittings to fit your headset to any helmet. In fact I have two helmets I use regularly and I was able to find enough bits to mostly fit a set to either helmet with minimal ripping things apart.
The devices paired with our phones with no issue and up to about 50mph I can listen to music pretty clearly and Sat Nav audio also works acceptably. I suspect most people with full-face helmets and quieter exhausts will find things much more audible up to maybe motorway speeds but as I say my bike is fairly loud so it does drown it out a wee bit for me. Much above 50 I can maybe tell what a song is based on the beat or wee snatched sounds but it’s not like listening to music.
Negatives- few really, getting the mic to work with my modular helmet so it works with the face open or closed has been a bit tricky, but I think I have solved that now by fitting the boom mic inside the ear space and feeding the boom behind the lining. Battery life seems almost limitless, its never indicated anything other than fully charged.
The buttons are a little tricky to use with gloved hands ( but so far I have only been wearing heavier gloves due to the time of year, I suspect in my summer gloves they will be fine). Very pleased though and can recommend
++++++Update October 2022+++++++
So I have used this set a lot since purchase and am very happy with performance, battery life is brilliant, I have on occasions forgotten to turn it off after use and a full days use and got a further day out it afterwards. Everything I said based on initial use, stands. However, main reason for this update is I somehow managed to damage the cable that connects the speakers to the unit. It wasn’t a defect in the kit, it was clearly something I did, but one speaker stopped working and I traced it back to a tiny little nick in one of the wires where the connection cable becomes three wires bonded together. I contacted Lexin to ask if I could buy a connection set to fix it. Despite the fact I told them this was entirely my fault they insisted on sending me a new set of speakers cables and connection parts from the US so I could get it all going again. Exceptional Customer service.
This review is for LEXIN 2pcs B4FM Motorbike Intercom With FM Radio.
Purchased to replace 2 Senna units that had failing battery’s. On unpacking I was immediately impressed with the high quality feel and construction.
They worked fine with just a slight back ground hiss which others have commented about, for the price paid I thought this was a very minor point. The only other thing is the radio is not very good unless you have a really strong signal but they are no different to other much more expensive units that I have had in the past from Cardo and Senna but as I listen to internet radio and music from my connected phone this is not important to me. (by the way did you know that google assistant works using these and you can start and stop music by voice).
A month or so ago one stopped working, it turned out to be a faulty microphone in my helmet, I contacted the firm by email and they immediately sent a replacement. Great service!
So the bottom line is these are excellent and and a very good buy. Supplied by a company that stands by their products. I would not hesitate to buy them again if given the choice.
Great as a communication device but terrible for listening to music, sound is so poor, feel kinda ripped off considering they make a point in there advertising about the hole streaming music thing, however I will keep mine for the first reason, in reality I really don’t know why this isn’t in the 40 to 50 price point ?
I was a little sceptical at first when I ordered these (I purchased a pair) as i’d already owned a Cardo Freecom4 which cost the earth and I lost after 5 days due to the poor locking catch mechanism. So, reluctantly I ordered this product after ready quite a few reviews and took a chance – arriving the next day the are a little larger than the Cardo product but what struck me was the quality of the sound w=once I actually fitted them to both helmets – the noise cancelling mic is superb and cuts out all road noise. I’m only using this as a solo rider for satnav and phone or with my wife as pillion. For that they work superbly – absolutely no problems at all and with a fairly huge battery they last ages. I havent needed to charge them yet.
The buttons are much easier to use with gloves than the Cardo and the simple way they connect for intercom or GPS/phone connection and the way it toggles between the two is very easy.
Question is of course if you are looking to hook up with loads of other riders then you may need to consider the newer MESH type systems but if its for solo use or with a pillion, I’d suggest you save the money that other makers charge and consider these.
I paid 125 for the matching pair on an offer Amazon were doing.
Money well spent and no worry of the unit falling off like the Cardo unit after 5 days due to the clumsy catch system
The product works rather well, the sound quality is good, and we managed to get 4-way coms setup, which worked nicely.
The only real issue is the connection devices into them, they come out a bit too far and bend really easily, which means some times the headphones connection port break, if you put your helmet down and forgot they were still plugged in. Luckily, the headphones are cheap, and easy to replace
The headsets are great value for money, I would recommend them to anyone. Having spent a lot of time researching the internet and reading the reviews of others I settled on the Lexin B4FM. For the price these do all I need them to do. The sound quality is excellent. The original devices have a helmet button, these have been replaced by ones that have replaced the helmet for an “x”. It’s possible to pair a mixture of the two up to four headsets (2 helmet and 1 X as is the case with me) but any more than 4 headsets and the later version with the X is required.
I have contacted Lexin who have agreed to replace the older version for the later one free of charge, in fact they’ve even let me keep the old one.
If you have a problem pairing them then YouTube has plenty of content to get you squared away, the pairing process is actually very simple – a bit like me.
Everything perfect apart from 1 function. I travel with my girlfriend. We wanted to speak to each other via the intercom function. But we also wanted Google maps to give us directions. It is not possible to do both at the same time. And very difficulty to switch between intercom and audio. Very difficult. Was frustrating to stop and spend 2 minutes switching just to get directions. Otherwise very good quality headse
I’ve had many Bluetooth units in my time. I’ve always had Sena & Cardo Units, But with the price of them at over 100+ and having to replace sena units every time it rains I thought I would give a cheaper brand a try and…… wow just wow.
The unit is rather large but that is also one of its positive points it’s easy to find the buttons (unless you’re wearing thick winter gloves) the button code controls I thought would have been a real nightmare but they are very simple once you get used to them. The sound quality from the speakers is great and have some real bass to them. Honestly, I’m very happy with the units. BUT and there is always a but the radio is very poor for my two units. I will find a station and the sound is great but then It starts to play up and a lot of interference so I either have to scan up then back down or find a ne station, also receiving a text or alert on my phone cuts the radio off then when it comes back its just static noise and again scan up and down.
Other than the radio I cant fault these two units the pairing is easy and sounds great even up to 80mph, heavy rain its 100% water proof (unlike sena units of double or triple the price) for me this is the headset of choice just hope the radio issue can be fixed in an update. 4/5
Thanks Lexi
So far these have ticked all the boxes. Easy to install, good sound quality and relatively easy to set up. Sound is on the tinny side with not much bass but that could be down to position in the helmet and how far away the speaker is from the ear. Its certainly loud enough and that’s more important.
Communication between two devices is crystal clear and does exactly what is says it will. Speech is clear and defined and whilst testing indoors,
I had the volume half way and it was plenty loud.
As for range, durability and battery have not tested yet but have a 1500 mile road trip coming up soon with other mates who have bought the same units so will be a proper test.
For the price these are a great option and so far have impressed me enough to recommend them.
These are great for pairing with like machines. Getting a 3way chat and 4way chat can be tricky-the instructions take a few reads to get it right-but once you’ve done this a few times it’s straightforward.
I haven’t tried with other headset brands yet, but it seems confident it can do the job.
Installation is easy from the headset perspective, it’s the helmet that makes the difference! That said, the sticky pads are sound, and the clip for the unit is strong- I had to bulk it out a little to stop it rattling as I didn’t want to use the self adhesive one.
The mic and speakers are very good for this price, clear even at motorway speeds.
Working the buttons can be tricky in big gloves, until you learn the positions by rote really.
I haven’t tried the Google assistant function, but a double tap on vol up for last called works well!
It’ll answer automatically after a few rings to avoid any faffing.
Range is line of sight. Don’t be fooled by claims of kilometres. That said, it’s no worse than cardo or senna offerings.
Battery life is as advertised, 3 and 4 way chats hurt it hard but you can still expect 4/5 hours easy. If you’ve a battery pack in your jacket, the leads to connect up shouldn’t get in your way.
Seems waterproof! Hasn’t stopped on me yet.
For the price of these and the features you can’t really go wrong. Appear well made and neat, fitted easily to two different helmets and the choice of adhesive pads worked fine, you get both types of mics as well. Set up and pairing to each other, sat nav and phone works every time and the sound has been really clear even at speed. I can vouch for the fact that they will work in cold, wet miserable conditions too. Didn’t get them to listen to music but actually the sound really isn’t bad should you want to. I can’t vouch for the range as I have only used as Intercom so far. Simple operation in gloves, just read the instructions which I found clear, and remember which button to press. I’m pleased with them, they seem as good as other expensive systems I’ve bought and other reviewers speak of good aftersales support which is good enough for me to trust.

The product is excellent. 4 stars because if you connect a GPS and you are in intercom mode talking to an other biker, the notifications from the GPS disconnect the comunication and so yoh have to press the button to establish again the link. If you get a lot of notification then it is very annoying and the only way is to remove the notifications from the GPS or not connect it at all but then I don’t have access to music when I want it. Also don’t like changing settings on the GPS while riding.
Hi Lexin, One word awesome!!! I bought this kit so I could chat to a biker friend, listen to music and make phone call whilst out riding our bikes.
We put the kit in our helmets with great ease in under 10 mins, no wires showing the only thing visible is the speakers which fit snug with velcro into the cheek pads and the mic which again is velcro’d into place, are totally secure and removable, the control unit clips securely to the outside of the helmet, again secure and removable.
The unit took a hour to charge and 2 mins to pare to my phone, and another minute to pair to another set.
The sound quality is amazing, talking normally even with the noise from the exhausts and road noise, the control buttons simple to use and large enough to use on the move with gloves on. Switching from intercom to music and changing the volume is simple too.
We checked out the range, you can let the other bike get out of sight on the motorway no problem and still chat away!
Awesome!!!!! Can’t believe the price!!!!

Just purchased these from Amazon UK
And the quality is fantastic
The units feel solid and the large buttons will work well with gloved hands.
After the charging period was over it was time to fit to the helmet there are 2 options clip and 3m tape.
I went with the 3m tape as my helmet was sealed on the edge fitted perfect.
On to the fitting of the quality headset and mic there are 2 options for the mic boom and cable
My helmet had channels for cable already in AGV
the fitting is very easy and took less than 10 mins
Now for the power on and sync to Bluetooth on my phone which was so so easy, music through Spotify was perfect.
Then we paired the second set to each other all went well following the instruction for 2 intercom
You can connect up to 4 with this system.
The quality of the product and clarity of a telephone call or intercom between motorcycles is truly outstanding and have now spoken to my friend who has just purchased a twin set also
So if your looking for a fantastic product and a fantastic price look no further than this

I was in the market for a pair of motorbike intercoms. not being easily swayed by big names, big marketing budgets and therefore big prices I seek out decent items at the lower end of the market where good items can be picked up for more value for money prices.
These Lexin intercoms are not the cheapest but by far are not the most expensive either. Bought to fit in to our HJC helmets they were reasonably easy to fit. Our helmets already had recesses for the speakers. I thought to start with that the speakers were too deep for the recesses but no they fitted perfectly. You do have to take out all the linings to work out how to route the cables but once you practice on the first helmet the second is a lot easier.
With some cheaper intercoms you have to decide on which type of mic but both a soft and boom mic are included so you can choose which suits you best. I opted for the clip holder, which is a bit like a strong bulldog clip, and it seems OK to me but you also have a sticky pad included if you want to use that.
With the intercom fitted I paired it with my phone which was easy peasy. I was then a little underwhelmed with the sound quality. It turns out though that you really have to push the headset into the unit. Apparantly it is to help make the unit watertight. Helpfully they have stickers on the lead to say it needs to be pushed fully home, if you think it is fully inserted try pushing again, the increase in volume and quality was quite revealing.
With the second intercom fitted I then tried pairing the two together. I did struggle with this a bit. in the end I found out that when you try and pair the two together instead of holding the button down a quick double tap seemed to do the trick. Again sound quality seems pretty good and volume seems like it should be good for legal speeds. Having played with them they seem to remember pairings when turned back on. Buttons seem easy to operate with gloves on. Will need to learn all the function options available from just 4 buttons.
A worthwhile investment? So far so good, they are starting on a high and hopefully will stay there. This is our first set of intercoms so have had nothing to compare them to, but with sound quality and functionality of these Lexins, I am not sure what else you would get if spending a couple of hundred quid more on more expensive ones.
Ok, so I’m well impressed with this. My missus and I used this on a trip to the nightmare that is Croydon. We had nice chats along the m25 with a Shoe Neotec helmet and a HJC full face helmet and the conversation was clear and easy to understand. It would be made better with earplugs in too. When I had to change to the Satnav, it was relatively easy to do.
It would be nice if it were possible to have my sat nav and the comms on at the same time, but its a minor bugbear.
The quality in the speakers is a little tinny, but I’ve heard that this is just an issue with comms in general.
The battery is amazing, after using it for more than 4 hours it’s still saying the battery is 100%.
Installation was simple and I was worried about the ultra thin wires, but that’s actually needed otherwise you’d feel the cables in your helmet under the padding and i didn’t feel a thing.
I’ve had this since January 2019 and found it to be reliable and the sound was great especially riding to work listening to music at 4am!
Yesterday 14th July 2020 I developed an issue with the unit- it wouldn’t charge so I contacted Lexin customer support asking if it was a 2 year warranty- I git an email response within 4 hours.
I was asked to carry out a few checks and ultimately I was told there was an issue with the battery and that they would send me a replacement – today 15th July – I received the replacement – i have never had such great customer service from an online retailer – I was told it would come next week.
The Lexin is a great intercom, the sound is fantastic for the price, the unit is reliable and if it does go wrong you are not left high and dry with one unit that cant be used fir anything other than listening to music.
Do I recommend- yes i do!
I have to admit that I was a little worried about parting with 149 on a set of intercoms, but I can honestly say that its money well spent. The intercom feature is brilliant! I regularly have my boy as pillion and its great, none of those silly hand signals anymore lol. Very easy to install and setup, I was particularly pleased with the two types of mic included as my boys helmet is open face sort of (Shark drax) and the boom mic works better, while mine being a full face has the little discrete mic stuck inside the chin guard area. Great for music having plenty of volume, speakers could have a little more bass, but thats a personal preference. Overall very happy though.
The bluetooth headsets work really well, in case it’s not obvious they connect to a mobile phone (each) and give all the features you’d expect there, such as music control and call control. As intercoms go they are brilliant, with clear sound, a good range (50-100 m before they start to break up), and very easy set up. The speakers have a surprisingly rich and balanced sound, and the microphone has good pickup. Be warned though, finding a good spot inside your helmet to mount the speakers is not easy. The included stickers and velcro are as good as you’d hope for, but it is still hard to find a way to insert them.
UPDATE: June 2020
After having these a while, battery life is excellent and lasts around 3 days use with constant intercom/gps. Sound is good even when wearing ear plugs, and honestly, a bit loud without the ear plugs. Only issue I’ve come across is the one using the 3m pad is a bit loose and has come off the mount if I swivel my head a bit far. I’ll only consider moving to something more expensive if I end up needing voice activated intercom.
Fitted to 2 x HJC IS Max II modular helmets.
Was easy to fit using clip to my wifes size S helmet but my size L needed to use the 3m sticky pad for best results as the clip was a bit loose. Voice clarity is good and the only thing that lets it down is the fact you have to press the intercom button every time you want to speak if you have GPS or FM radio running as well. Buttons are quite small to use with gloves hands – even my wife who has small hands said they aren’t that easy. We decided to keep the intercom active all of the time Whilst I didn’t require GPS, for ease of use Improvement would be to use voice activation to cut gps or music when either of the paired devices speak and then switch back to gps after a few seconds automatically. Obviously that would impact on price but I’d happily pay that bit more for that sort of functionality
This is FANTASTIC for the price.
FITTING – I’m new to Bluetooth in helmets and it took me about 15 minutes to fit which I think is pretty quick for a novice.
SOUND – I am very surprised at how loud the speakers are. I commute to work every day mostly in town (so no motorways) which does include dual carriageways. I can comfortably hear clearly music, which sometimes I have to turn down slightly. Phone calls are clear and again sufficiently loud to have a conversation even at higher speeds. Only one thing to note is that due to how slim the speakers are in order to fit inside the helmet bass is non existent, however I think that is a fair trade off for all the other positives.
EASE OF USE – the buttons are large and easy to find and navigate (in my opinion) even with winter gloves on, especially after a few uses and you’re comfortable with the unit. The double tap function to access Google assistant is easy and functional which I love.
BATTERY – This thing lasts a long time. I commute at least 5 out of 7 days, sometimes more if I have to go in on the weekend and I charge the unit probably about once every 3-4 weeks. That’s with using it twice a day every time I ride!
Honestly if you’re on a budget (or not!) I can’t see why anyone would purchase a more expensive well known make over this unit!
Very impressed. Just back from a 2 week ride through France and Spain. Three of us had these units and the 4th had a Viper helmet with Built in Bluetooth headset. Unfortunately we could not get it to connect with his helmet unit so he had a very lonely ride. On the other hand we had a ride with flawless communications for 9 hours some days. We never listened to music just left it on comms open mode. Once we had initially paired them, as per instructions, all we had to do is press the communication button to reconnect at power on and that was it. If one of us went out of comm range then it would beep and disconnect. Depending on who was out of range decided if the 2 others still had contact. Sounds a pain but in reality it was not often that it happened as the range is almost out of sight on open stretches of road. In mountain twisty road areas it is a lot shorter. Once back in range it would beep again and reconnect automatically.
Having these units transformed our trip so much so that our 4th member tried everything to get a unit delivered to France or Spain just so he could join in, but with no success.
With great volume level and clarity even at 70mph with ear plugs in definitely recommend.
