I purchased this window film in November and they’re still going strong, I love how much more spacious it makes my kitchen look. I don’t lose any daylight and people can’t look inside my kitchen = double win.
I wanted something to put at the bottom of my very large window for privacy but wanted to leave the top so I could still enjoy the view. I’ve had Venetian blinds before and found cleaning them hard work. I don’t like vertical blinds so this seemed the perfect solution. I did struggle doing the big window alone. Would be better with 2 people. What I found worked was to fold in half and do one side first then fold second side over. This worked perfectly, used a window squidgy to remove bubbles and the end result is brilliant. It looks clean and fresh and will be easy to clean for a fraction of the price of blinds. A very happy customer.
Exactly, what I was looking for. Easy to assemble. But does need a lot of water, not like I have tried without. And there was lots of bubbles. But water changes everything.
The adhesion, once we followed the instructuon, was great. Hassle free. The appearance is not to loud but does what it says. when you walk away from the house you can see lights, but privacy is obvious. The only time it becomes a concern is when you are very close, but one would have to be intentionally looking in, and for that purpose. Overall, great blockage and I would purchase again.
I was helped by a good friend.
It makes the rooms look nice and cosy, don’t know why I did not think of them before.
The colour is really good
So first I thought oh god what have I done as last time I had some of these they went across not down, it would have taken me ages to keep cutting small pieces to do the patio doors so I just did the straight down, super easy to apply just use plenty of liquid ( I use window cleaner instead of water, works well) some are slightly flicking out at the bottom for some reason but it’s not noticeable unless you point it out, lovely and shimmery in the evening too
This is quality stuff reasonably easy to install..
the only issue I had, I decided I wanted to do more windows, so ordered a further roll and the pattern wasn’t quite the same on the additional roll. So make sure you order a long enough roll to do all windows.
Absolutely great. Got three smallish oblong double glazed windows in my conservatory which were ” blown” and looked smeared and dirty.
Would have cost a couple of hundred pounds to have them replaced, this film which cost less than 10 pounds has transformed them, they look better than before.
Bit fiddly but well worth it.
I put this on my main door which is all glass, I did it vertically and the difference its made is amazing. Be sure to take the back film of first.
I was nervous that this would be difficult to put on but I couldn’t have been more wrong, It is incredibly easy to put on, gives amazing privacy & makes the room much brighter. I’ve ordered more.
Really nice alternative to blinds, cheaper and easier to take care of. I really like the look of the rolls I ordered. Easy to install if you do it properly.
We had 2 small window panes at either side of our kitchen French doors and we just did not know how to cover them without it looking weird. I spotted this and thought ‘I wonder’
I am glad I did because they have been amazing, look so good and really obscure the view
Very easy to cut to size and apply with water
Great value and would 100% recommended
Really please with this. Our living room window is very close to my neighbors path and they can see right in my window, this has stopped this and we can still have the daylight but privacy.
Pictures are deceiving. I was expecting horizontal pattern but recieved vertical therefore had to use 2 pieces to cover a window. Everyone that says it doesn’t stick has probably not peeled the backing off before applying to the windows. I made the same mistake until I realised there is a clear film that needs to be peeled off. After doing this it works perfectly. Would have been a 5* if the stripes were the vertical on the roll and not horizontal.
Easy to use and very effective. Have already recommended to others.
So pleased with how this looks, casts a lovely pink/blue light into the room. Bought a separate application kit which made it quite easy to apply.
Was skeptical how hard it would be to do but I was shocked it is so easy the hardest bit is getting backing off it it’s completely changed the room no more blinds needed let’s light in with privacy its brilliant stuff
I used this product in our aged caravan, to replace discoloured net curtains which we didn’t like. The film like other have said is tricky to put on, but once you have got the nack is quick. I did need an additional set of hands to help me make sure aligned and as bubble free as possible.
They let the light in, but are good for keeping our privacy when inside and people walking past.
I would recommend.
Really pleased with this Does a great job on my balcony doors to stop anyone looking i
Fitting was a bit fiddly. Separating the film from the backing was quite difficult. Application requires spraying water on the foil and the window. The instructions said “the more water the better”. I would not agree – the more water you apply the more bubbles you will have to squeeze out! You are also advised to cut the foil over-size and trim it once in place. This was quite difficult – you will need a very sharp scalpel. On the second pane I ignored this and cut the film accurately to size before fitting. Anyway the end result was very pleasing.
I didn’t want blinds at the kitchen window as it’s deep and I would have trouble reaching across. My daughter fitted this for me and it’s great. I can still see out but have privacy from people looking in and it lets in plenty of light.
Looks smarter than some other coverings. Easy to apply and stays in place. I have a kitten so took down blinds and replaced with this. Solved problem.
This film was really easy to use and looks good. Easy to cut and apply. Make sure you clean the window spotless with window cleaner and use a lot of water on the window when applying. I found that if you use the top of the film as the level rather than over lapping it on the top part of the window. you’ll get the lines level then you just trim the sides and bottom.
This is a really great product, easy to put up, good privacy levels.
Only thing I found irritating was trying to take the backing off.
Love this for my daughters bedroom and they love it too
I brought to try out, as I liked the look of it , but if quite honest wasn’t expecting it to be very good
But was pleasantly surprised that it actually looks quite good when applied to window, has made my window look refreshed without looking cheap & nasty , thinking about buying some more now.
You have to have some time & patience to make sure you remove all liquid / air bubbles out of it, to achieve this, otherwise probably wouldn’t look nice.
Was not sure at first but invested in a pressurized spray and after cleaning the French doors began work. The first door had me questioning why it seemed such hard work but used much more sprayed water on the second door and it was much easier. Yes I would recommend this product to family and friends.
Having read some mixed reviews about the ease of using this product I expected it to be more difficult than it was. It is reasonably straightforward to apply using lots of soapy water, two people and a bit of patience. Finished job looks good.
I bought a few rolls of the frosted film, as well as a couple of the colour one. They both provide excellent privacy but still allow plenty of light. I struggled a bit with the first roll but that was clearly user error as the rest were fine.
As others have said, it’s best to remove the backing in one go. I found laying the film down on a clean, dry towel worked best. Peel it as per the instructions but take your time to make sure there’s plenty of static produced.
Use lots of water. I found adding a small drop of washing up liquid also helped. I used a ruler to help smooth out any bubbles and to get a clean edge when trimming the edges down.
The colour film looks great, especially from the outside. Given the height of some of the windows, I went with vertical stripes. Far easier than cutting several sections (which is what I had to do with colour film).
A really good product that I’d definitely buy again.
i love this film . .i used to have net curtain but i change my mind to have this film . it does great work . looks nice and clean easy to stick as well . i am planning to buy more for my other room as well . thank you
I bought this privacy film for my back door. I was expecting the stripes to be horizontal as on pictures…however it wasn’t the case. Instead of sending it back and waiting longer for another one I decided to cut it in 3 pieces and hang it horizontally anyway. A bit of a hustle but it was worth it. The film itself is of a good quality.
I tried the rainbow film, my girls love it in their bedroom. It was so nice I put it in my other front facing windows too. It gives good privacy while keeping all the light, unlike blinds. The rainbow film gives a kind of soft pearlescent glow as well or sometimes shines different colours. Looks great from outside too (haven’t got photo but it’s a sort of light brown tint from the outside, very good privacy).
Not as hard as I thought to put up. My tip is to take off all the backing film in one go, it makes it easier to put straight to the window.
Squeegee or cloth wrapped round something hard like a book is needed to help it stick to the window.
Came rolled up. Paper tape to secure the roll which I had to slowly remove.
Could not find the end to peel back the backing paper. It took me ages, still no joy so ended up having to tear with a knife, wasting a small amount.
Simple to apply. Spray loads of water on the window and apply soft side down. Bubbles slowly coming out as it dries.
Adjustable so you can move it about to get into place correctly. Simply pull off and apply more water.
For my French doors on bedroom, partially covering for privacy. Picture at night with light on, seems to blur the view.
Need another roll to complete.
I would have given 5 stars but peeling the backing paper off was just too tricky.
I have public foot paths on 3 sides of the house and have previously used blinds for privacy. They were OK for day time but useless on an evening when I had the light on indoors. The blinds went mouldy with condensation so needed to be replaced
I looked at several window films and selected this one because it only has narrow clear lines and offers the best privacy, I also really like how it sparkles when the light hits the frosted lines.
The film itself is good quality and easy to install, I measured and cut each piece 1mm smaller than the width of the glass, it shouldn’t over run on to the black seal around the glass or it won’t stick properly. Smaller windows are much easier to fit the film, if you have any bubbles peel it back and spray over with more water. I used a soft squeegee to smooth it over then wipe down with a damp cloth
The rooms are much brighter now compared to the blinds I had, and it offers better privacy even with lights on indoors. You do loose your view, I can see people walking past and cars, but not clearly out into open space so I kept one blind, film fitted on all other windows including a large bay window, it looks good from inside and outside
Any negative reviews here I can only assume are user error, either from not removing the backing plastic after cutting the piece, trying to stick the wrong side of the film to the window, not using enough water, or cutting the film too big so it overlapped onto the black window seal. One side of the film is smooth, one side you can feel the texture, the smooth side is the static side which goes against the glass
Would buy again and recommend for privacy
