Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe sound on these are quite impressive, loud but doesn’t lose any of the tone at the higher volumes. Considering the price, they are so impressive. A pretty solid construction. They are small enough to fit on a desk alongside a PC/Laptop too.

    Well worth the money spent.

These speakers are great, perfect size for a desk and pack a good punch when it comes to the sound.

For people experiencing very low volume issues, make sure you plug the speakers into the actual pc and not the monitor, I made the same mistake and was ready to return them but now they’re working properly they’re definitely staying and for the price they can’t be beate

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome speakers

I got these to use with my dvd projector because the Bluetooth sound delay was driving me crazy.
Plug in and off you go, lovely set of speakers, ideal for a smallish area..lounge, bedroom etc.
    Good bass and crystal clear.
    Well worth the money!

I’m not an audio engineer so please take this review with a grain of salt. That said, I am really enjoying these speakers!

They were so easy to set up and look great with my monitor (I imagine they would look good in any office space).

The only thing is that I think they’re specifically designed to sit behind a monitor as the wires connecting speakers 1 and 2 aren’t long enough to stretch behind a TV. Otherwise, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a stylish set of speakers.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSome complained they would be too big, indeed they are quite tall, but I don’t find this a problem, on the contrary, I expect it helps with sound quality. As opposed to what I tried before and had to return, this is an exceptional product. Some also complained it would be made of plastic, but that’s good quality plastic, again it didn’t bother me.
Overall very good quality for this price, and the mic is very good as well, tested on a Teams meeting.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought these as a temporary measure to replace some old broken PC speakers. They’re alright for what they cost. If you’re looking for a budget set of speakers and don’t care much about the sound quality, these will do fine. They look nice (though they are larger than they first look in the preview pics!) and are easy to set up and go.

However, if you’re looking for any kind of high-quality listening experience you should consider paying a little more for something of higher quality. There’s no subwoofer, the bass ain’t great, and they squeak at higher frequencies. The sound was all a little muffled and the voice clarity for dialogue wasn’t spectacular.

I’ve since upgraded for a more expensive set and the difference is night & day (but the price was double).

So, long story short- if you’re looking for some cheapo, simple speakers you can use for blasting music while doing chores or blasting noise at a party, go for it! If you want good quality sound for movies, gaming etc, you can do better.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy Creative T40’s died after 7 years. They were fabulous until they died .. I won’t buy Creative anything again as I do believe manufacturers build products to break so you have to buy again. These Logitech Z200 PC speakers do the job just fine. Not as powerful as the C T40’s but no bother. Only had them a week so early days, but the sound is good, easy to install and can listen to my music and watch movies with good sounds. More than half the price of my previous investment, so a happy customer. Update, just be aware the price varies. One week later its 4 cheaper …

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood speakers for those buying on a budget. But if you love listening to music all the time, I would purchase a better pair of speakers as the bass isn’t the best.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersSo I purchased these last year as a temporary set, I’ve continued to use them as they held up well. However I opened up the speaker as one is slightly rattling so I tightened the retainer screw and is good as new. But while I was in there I noticed only one of the speakers is actually wired in, the bottom one just vibrates with the motion of the other. It may be against the terms to open them (I’m not sure) but I just wanted people to be aware. Thank you for taking the time.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI have just moved countries and my speaker sets are in my shipment; I may not see them for some time, so I needed a cheap pair as a stop-gap. These seemed to fit the bill. Though they have gone up in price; I bought them off Amazon three weeks ago for 21.99, and now it seems they’re 33!

For the price I paid at the time, they are good value. They look and feel a little cheap, and don’t have a huge amount of bass even when it’s turned up (you can adjust it). But the sound quality is otherwise very good, clear and pleasant, for music as well as speech. The volume control is a large knob on the front of one of the speakers and is very convenient. Also there isn’t a bright light on them, just a dim, small green LED (too many speakers have horrible bright blue lights that make them unsuitable for bedroom use).

For 21.99 they were good value – though at 33.00, there might be alternatives.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI read a lot of negative reviews about this set of speakers, people talking about bass and expecting studio quality sound from this product.

Thought i would give it a try as my dogs had chewed through my old wires.

Fantastic set of speakers if you arent an audiophile, the bass is fine and they sound great when listening to youtube/spotify. I feel that the negative reviews for this product come from people with very expensive audio setups, these are perfect for the average PC user(i play a lot of game son my PC and these are spot on).

I have always had my PC connected to a 42″ plasma (with surround sound) in the rear sitting room / snug. With the current Covid situation and the long term office “situation” uncertain, I decided it was time to create some sort of proper office environment at home. After spending a silly amount of money on a proper ergo seat & desk along with 2 x monitors, I then realised that I had to buy a pair of speakers to assist with conference / video calls as the monitors have no sound.
After searching for best budget speakers, the Logitech Z200 consistently came up as the best buy – with the mandatory negative reviews thrown in for good measure. I bought a pair based on my reasoning that seeing as most of the reviews were positive and a few were negative, they surely must be OK. And they are.
At lower volumes, the speakers are fine when placed next to / at the side of the monitors. However, at higher volumes, they do become a bit “trebley” – at least for my delicate ears. I have now placed the speakers BEHIND my monitors pointing out the way and what a difference that has made. In my workplace office, I am spoiled as I have a set of Bose speakers to listen to every day, but this pair cannot and will not compete against such expensive speakers – but what do you expect for 27 ?.
If you want something to plug in which provides decent sound for online TV, videos, video calls etc…, you really cannot go wrong with these at all, Remember also, that if your PC has a dedicated sound card, you can adjust those settings to make things sound sweeter. As mentioned earlier, I found placing the speakers behind your monitor(s) also improve the listening experience. For the money, you really cannot go wrong with these at all. Just do it.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersSuper fast next day delivery even though I chose the free delivery.

A product in this price range should be reviewed as such, not compared to 300 setups etc. So here goes..

Sound quality is fairly good, crisp and clear enough for a small setup. They’re obviously designed to be cheap speakers to accompany a desktop, and they are very good for this use. They go loud, very loud. The sound quality remains clear at high volumes. The Bass is fairly poor, but again.. cheap small speakers, they’re not meant to be hugely bass heavy. If you want loud and deep bass that vibrates the walls and floor, go for a 2.1 setup with dedicated subwoofer. The “tone” slider thing that is supposed to affect the bass level, doesn’t have a huge effect, but you can tell the difference.

My major complaint with this order is not with the product itself, but with amazon! The product is offered in conjunction with a HDMI cable. As I was looking at various HDMI connectivity speakers, then found this one offered in package with a HDMI cable, I presumed it was a HDMI connection speaker. Of course I should have read more carefully, so it’s my fault. But I wanted a HDMI connection speaker, which this is NOT, so amazon.. please change the offering, don’t offer a package deal of HDMI cable when this product does not require one.

TLDR: 4/5 overall, crisp clean sound, weak bass, no HDMI connection – Good desktop speakers to improve sound.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good speakers, no HDMI connection.

logitech’s reputation is basically the summary of this review so tldr (too long didn’t read) just ask any nerd what they think of logitech.

they have great bass, and a nice quality sound, the jacks on the front are super useful for us lazy folk that don’t wanna unplug our speakers to use our headphones. the individual sound dial allows the volume to exceed what you could normally too, normally plugging headphones into speakers would actually make your headphones quieter than just plugging them raw into your pc, however thanks to the power supply within the speakers and the volume dial on them too, you can control the volume of your headphones to higher extents than if you just plugged your headphones into your PC. the tone dial is pretty ignorable once it’s in the right place, and it’s in a hard place to knock so again, props. my girlfriend says they look nice and stylish, although ispecifically got the black and white ones because my pc case is black and white with blue LEDs.
the only thing that stops this product getting 5 stars is the audio does get a little grainy should you increase it past 60% or so. BUT i can hear these speakers all around my (albeit very small) home at about 40, provided it’s not raining or my washing machine isn’t running etc.
all in all you certainly get at the *very least* what you pay for although in my opinion you get better than what you pay for. anyone looking for some nice cheap-ish speakers without getting really crappy ones i would say get these ones. note that they take one mains power plug socket and an audio jack. i was expecting as much but some people don’t expect them to.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersThese will be my first venture into speakers! I’m quite pleased to know that this is the lower end, and that it’s not as bad as I was expecting.

Coming from using headphones exclusively, these are quite a change. Didn’t take long to adjust.

First of all, they are capable of reproducing most of the spectrum my headphones did. However, this usually requires “Loudness Equalisation”, as sometimes the highs can get drowned a little by the lows. I use this setting when listening to podcasts, commentaries etc, just not for music or gaming.

When gaming, there is a way bigger sense of direction than any headphones gave. It’s like I’m hearing stereo for the first time! A much preferred experience. There is the added benefit of not needing to faff with headphones being uncomfortable or aching after a while.

You can change the direction of the speakers to get the “response” you want. Turn them toward you for better reproduction, and away for more pronounced bass. And speaking of bass, it’s there, and way more so than any headphones I’ve used. I’m sure they don’t stack up against better models, but I wouldn’t want any more anyway.

And as for aesthetics, build etc, it’s fine. They won’t fall apart, but may break from a fall. They look quite good, and aren’t intrusive as I though they would be. I’m overall pleased I didn’t give up much from leaving behind headphones, but I’d personally spend a bit more to get a similar sound quality (probably around 50-75). For those on a budget, these will do just fine!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersOkay, I haven’t purchased a top of the range set of Bose power speakers and I am not about to get a call from the Rolling Stones tour manager who fancies borrowing them for their next tour, but what I have purchased, is a fairly cheap set of speakers from a reputable company, that will sit either side (and slightly above as it happens, as my brother, a builder, is really handy at putting up shelves, but I digress) of my desktop PC.

I didn’t struggle to open the box but the packaging is excellent all the same, I never read the instructions (I’m a bloke, give me a break) as I quickly assembled my new speakers. It took about 3 minutes from leaving the box to hearing Led Zeppelin, so there’s a high score right there (not for the product, for my choice in music) and the whole operation was painless.

The 2:1 sound is so much better that my old ones, and they were old to be honest, and although the small ‘tone’ adjust wheel doesn’t appear to actually adjust the tone to any great degree I am still happy with the sound.

My only criticism is with the actual speaker cones. There is no protection what so ever, zilch, nothing at all to stop an inquisitive cat scratching a massive hole in them. (Although I don’t actually own a cat but who knows, one day I might leave my house, visit the outside world, meet a nice lady who owns a cat, we get on famously and by the end of the year I ask her to move in, with perhaps a view to a beautiful spring wedding at some time in the future and it is at that point that I’ll buy some different speakers before splashing out on an engagement ring.)

So, great little speakers that do exactly what I want of them, can’t say fairer than that.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPros:
    * The speakers will look very beautiful in any room for any setup.
    * Loud enough to fill any room in my house. (See my attached, sound level at 50%)
    * Sound quality seems good. <--- I'm not an audiophile and I can't notice much difference between when adjusting the bass with the toner. * Comes with a front facing aux port, brilliant for those that want to plug other devices in without fiddling around. Cons: * Has stand at back which is a bit unnecessary as I'm sure the speakers will stand up fine without it! You have to take apart the speakers to actually remove the stand too. * As someone who doesn't speak audio, I didn't know the difference between "active" and "passive" drivers, 2 of them actually play sound and the other 2 seem to be there to provide extra vibration. * The supplied AUX lead is short about 1.2 meters so I had to re-arrange my desktop PC in order for the cable to reach. AUX cables are not modular so would have to purchase an female to male extender. Summary Not the best speakers on the market however for 23 I am happy. I purchased these as a replacement to some 1990s stock speakers that were finally broken. The speakers are loud enough for my needs and I quite like the look of them, the AUX cable is small and I might have to purchase an extender in the future.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI am a huge fan of Logitech and I have purchased many products by them. I am particularly fond of their computer speakers and this was the first brand I considered when looking for an inexpensive set to compliment my computer. To say that this set severely outperforms what you would expect from the low price tag would be putting it mildly. I have listed my thoughts below:

    Pros
    – The speakers are a good weight which is always a good sign. It also means that they don’t move once placed on the desk.
    – These are a very good looking pair of speakers, they’re also bigger than you’d think too.
    – The sound produced from the two small drivers on these speakers are bigger than you’d think! I will admit I was a little concerned with the sound quality when I first turned them on, but after a couple of hours the drivers have really warmed up nicely and give off a great sound.
    – They are completely silent when idle. I know some may consider this a trivial point but I am someone with ears like a bat and humming/buzzing sounds from speakers cut right through me.
    – These speakers are capable of producing good volume. I have the computer volume set to 50% and these rarely need to go above 1/3 on the volume dial!
    – Great connectivity. The right speaker houses a 3.5mm aux jack and a headphone jack so you won’t need to crawl under your desk to plug headphones in.
    – Good cable length on the cable that connects the two satellites. This allows for flexible placement of the speakers on your desk.

    Cons
    – The cable length for 3.5mm cable that connects to the computer itself is short. My desk isn’t overly tall and I have my tower block underneath my desk on the left and the cable only just reaches. This is a real shame as the cable between the two satellites is very good.
    – The ‘Tone’ wheel on the right speaker is very small and can be a little fiddly. There is also no reference point on the wheel so it is difficult to quantify how much bass you have the dial set to. I have had many Logitech speakers before where you get a click turn once the bass is set to 50% for example but these don’t have that.

Overall, as you can see the pros really do outweigh the cons here. For the price you pay for these I really don’t think you can do much better when it comes to both looks and performance and I cannot recommend them enough.

The Z200 speakers from Logitech are cheap, stylish, and sound surprisingly good. I was using my tinny monitor speakers, which were adequate for watching tv/videos but not pleasing to listen to music through. When they decided to pack up, I bought these.

They are a lot bigger than I expected, but that doesn’t matter too much as they sit behind my monitor. They look great, and much better than in the amazon pictures. They plug into the mains via a transformer plug, and into your PC via a 3.5mm jack. The audio cable is a bit thin looking, but after several months of use being unplugged and plugged back in again, it hasn’t crackled once, as some cheaper cables do when they are about to fail.

The speakers sound great for the price, although they can’t surpass the sound quality of my Hi-Fi. However, this is not expected for 28. The bass is powerful for the size of the drivers, especially considering there isn’t a separate sub. The trebles are moderately clean and crisp, and the mids are moderate too. Don’t expect too much out of them, but they certainly sound good – there is none of the tinniness that I anticipated. The speakers goes quite loud, but comes out distorted if the input volume on windows is past 80% when the speaker’s control is all the way up.

The tone control is a nice touch, and increases the bass a small amount. The volume knob is very smooth, but only seems to output a sound after it is past about 15%.When 2 inputs are connected (through the pc cable + aux in), the volume lowers a little, but this is presumably to avoid distortion. The headphone port is a really useful addition as well.

In conclusion, these speakers both look and sound great for their price. I would highly recommend these speakers if you don’t want to spend too much, but also want a pleasing sound.

Golden Review Award: 54 From Our UsersI bought these the other day to replace a set of Creative i-Trigue 2000 stereo speakers which I also bought from Amazon back in the vintage year of 2006. They had developed a fault whereby the left speaker would stop output unless you fiddled with the switches and buttons; most annoying.

Anyway, I got these Z200s this morning. My first impression was one of surprise as they are quite a lot bigger than I expected. In fact my exact thinking when unboxing them was expletive mahoosive. Considering that these are marketed as ideal companion speakers for a laptop I get the feeling that they’d somewhat dwarf said equipment. I’m using them with a desktop system, so they just share the space behind my monitor.

Nonetheless they’re a cinch to set up. Mains powered you therefore need a free plug socket for a low-voltage style adapter plug. The speaker units themselves appear and feel to be of quite a good build quality. Whilst the plastic looks like it might be soft touch, it sadly isn’t but then at this price that’s probably asking too much. One thing I don’t like is that the audio cable that plugs into your PC or laptop is all black, very thin and extremely weedy looking and is a bit incongruous compared to the perceived quality of the speakers themselves.

As for sound, which is arguably one of the most important aspects of speakers, the sound is I’d say middling in quality. Sounds and music come through decidedly richly and avoid the tinniness associated with this kind of product. At the same time though there isn’t much in the way of bass and the little tone adjustment wheel really has little effect on the sound that these things produce. Additionally, the action of altering the tone doesn’t seem to smoothly ramp with your scrolling but rather harshly switches to different tonal modes – this could be an issue with my set but it doesn’t bother me enough to do anything about it because I usually set that how I like and leave it for the rest of forever.

In summary these are decent speakers for the price and you’ll likely be satisfied by them, providing you don’t expect anything eargasmic.
