How long should I keep my make up products?
All L’Oréal cosmetic products have shown to be stable for more than 30 months. If that is not the case an expiration date is provided on the packaging or a “period after opening” (PAO).
What does PAO (“period after opening”) mean?
L’Oréal specifies a “period after opening” (PAO) which is represented by a logo of an open jar with a number followed by the letter M (which represents the number of months). Once the PAO has elapsed discontinuing use of the product is recommended.

However, I wish the brush was smaller, I prefer a narrower one. And… the formula does clump on the brush, which can transfer to your lashes. To get around this I tend to wipe off most of the excess on the tube opening, which makes it a bit messy.
However, I still rate it so highly because of how good the waterproof element is.
The wand provided a smooth and clog free application and lashes looked nice and full and certainly black.
After a whole day’s use there was barely any smudging under the eyes, so I was really pleased with the result.
The only difficulty came in make-up removal as my usual method of a quick baby wipe didn’t fully remove the mascara so lots more scrubbing and cleanser required, but I guess that’s the trade off for better staying power on the actual mascara and a small price to pay at the end of the day for better looking eyes all day.
It doesn’t clump and is relatively easy to remove .
It is also reasonably priced which means it’s affordable to replace it every three months as recommended for any mascara.
I then switched to the waterproof version which keeps the curl and seemed to be like a totally different formula because it didn’t irritate my eyes but it’s difficult to remove and therefore not an everyday choice.
This brown mascara however maybe my new favourite, whilst it’s not a waterproof formula; as a naturally auburn toned brunette with pale skin, I never realised how much better I would look with brown mascara, my features look balanced (first time trying brown mascara) and I can see this being something I can wear everyday because it removes really easily, lasts all day, no irritation, flaking or smudging under my eyes which I must say I have only ever found a few mascaras that don’t and this is one of them.
I didn’t particularly have high hopes for it, given the first formula but I can confirm the formulation improvements for sensitive eyes has made this a really great choice for all and a brilliant mascara for great volume.
The only personal suggestion I could even think of, if L’oreal did the brown in the waterproof formula so I can enjoy both for different occasions but until then this is going to be my everyday mascara as I genuinely cannot find fault with it.
Well, I bought this mascara because I was going on a blind date and I don’t wear make up so I thought I would buy some. It was the first time I had ever worn make up and I loved the mascara, let’s just say I looked like a drag queen when I went to meet my date thinking I looked like Julia Roberts (not the Prostitute from pretty woman) It started to rain on the way to the restaurant and without realising my mascara had leaked all down my face making me look like beetle juice. I didn’t realise this had happened and i politely introduced myself to my date. After ten minutes of meeting this gorgeous man, he got a phone call and then told me there was a family emergency (I could hear his mum on the end of the phone saying his dinner was ready! ). As he left, I caught a sight of myself in the mirror and no wonder he couldn’t wait to get out of the restaurant, I looked like crossed between lily savage and a member of Kiss… I could of cried! I walked out of the restaurant only to get my heal stuck in a drain and my heal snapped off as a car shot by driving through a puddle and soaking me even more… Let’s just say I won’t be going on another blind date for a while because he would have to be blind to not be scared of my makeup if I ever wear any again… I do like the mascara… Very nice
