Lou’s Nature Store – Window Feeder
Description: The Lou’s Nature Store Window Feeder provides a very sturdy bird seed holder for feeding birds. The ability to offer multiple foods from the feeder will ensure a wider range of garden birds visit the feeder. The oval cut out in the back of the feeder means that your view of the birds is not obscured.
A full length perching strip makes it easier for birds to land and feed off the feeder – the green strip will help eliminate the chance of birds flying into your window. The Window Feeder has a overhanging roof for weather protection. The feeding area is detachable to make it simpler to clean and fill.

Really enjoying this feeder on my office window. I get a little bit of distraction every day when the magpies come to peck on it! Hopefully will have some smaller birds soon.
A really great buy. Was unsure what to expect since the feeder attaches to the window with suction cups but it’s been up almost a month now and hasn’t moved and inch! It took a couple of days for the garden birds to reslise it was there but now we have daily visitors and get an up close view of them eating. Lovely item. Well made. You won’t be disappointed.
Magpies can get their head in at the side and cling on with their wings. Squirrels can pull the bars apart and then just climb in and sit there!
Great to see whatever is in there but I now need a squirrel proof one.
If you don’t have a squirrel problem I’d definitely recommend this feeder.
It takes seconds to assemble and the suction pads really stick well. I don’t think the little string is even necessary in case it falls, it’s been up for a while now, and it’s still stuck like superglue to the window. I cleaned the glass then dampened the suction pads with a wet cloth and pressed them onto the glass and it stuck so well that it was difficult to remove and reposition. It’s very lightweight so I doubt it will come loose. You can separate the seeds onto 2 or 3 groups, so I have wild seeds in one side and Nyjer seeds in the other. I wish I had bought one of these sooner as we have endless fun with our morning coffee watching blue tits, gold finches and robins up close.
We had a two way mirror window feeder which got broken and replaced it with this one. Took the birds about 5 to 6 days to find it but now they’re never away. Mainly starlings.
Not quite the finches and tits I was hoping for but this pair of Collared doves are an absolute joy and regular visitors now. Hoping that they will encourage the smaller birds!
Been up for three days now, had a bit of trouble with one of the suction cups not sticking, but a trick you can do is to run the cup under hot water until it’s hot, dry it and then press it to the window. Makes it stick much better.
Added a second feeder using the hook that is provided and it’s still holding up strong, seen a few robins feeding!
It has been stuck to my window for the last couple of months and hasn’t fallen off yet, though I did attach it to the window frame with a bit of string just in case. The birds did take a while to come to the feeder, but I guess they hadn’t seen one before, however, now they have learnt what it is they are a joy to watch close up. The feed tray is very easy to remove and refill, so overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
Squirrel proof? No.
And their weight crashed it to the ground.
Not the products fault, and the suckers stayed on the window as the plastic unit fell so they’re very strong! Blue tits & robin loved it while it lasted.
But sadly not a solution to get the food to the songbirds if you happen to have squirrels visit as well.
Little birds love this one-stop cafe, an amazing mix of top-notch food and filtered drink. Holds onto the window with no problem.
I have had pigeons try to get the top-notch food and filtered drink by sitting on the top, which shows how much weight it can handle.
Got it for parents, took a couple of days for the birds to realise its there and then the pigeons found it 1st 🙂 the little birds now love it and parents get to spy on them
Following instructions assembly was easy. Seems weatherproof so far and little drawers allow for a few different foods
Bought this to use at Center parcs, it didn’t last long with geese lol! Back home it’s staying put on the window and we’ve had a robin and blue tits visit it. It’s early days and I’m sure we’ll get more visitors to it soon.
I wish the assembly instructions were a bit clearer, I couldn’t follow where the string was meant to go but when I sussed it all was fine and it’s nice to know if it falls off it won’t smash to the floor. Worth paying a bit extra just for that.
I really wanted to get a bird feeder because I have many cats that pass through my garden (at least 4) and I was becoming worried putting the bird food on the ground that a bird may get caught one of the cats..
I was looking around and wanted something easy to maintain and clean. Upon reading the reviews I ordered this one but did tell myself not to get my hopes up in case no birds came to it as some of the other reviews has previously mentioned.
First I had put my bird feeder up just before a few days of stormy weather and strong winds had come so I thought that this would be the best time to test it! Wow it did not budge at all!! However I did notice the food got a little bit soggy but that’s fine I am happy to change it.
It was extremely easy to set up and fix onto my window. I decided to follow another reviewers method and I put some dried mealworms on my windowsill along with the bird feeder so that they definitely knew that it is there. Within 24 hours they were eating from the windowsill.
This morning (a little over 48 hours later) I heard a strange tapping on my bedroom window. I opened my curtains and was met with a beautiful little blue tit enjoying the food on the feeder!! I was standing so close to it and it did not even fly away for a good 30 seconds! I was over the moon and did not expect it to work so quickly!
To note – I already have had birds in my garden before so I know that I am in a neighbourhood that has birds. So I wonder if with people who have mentioned that no birds came to it was that they didn’t have many birds in their neighbourhood.
For the price it is absolutely beyond worth it and I will be more than happy to repurchase in future if ever needed!
Please let me know if my experience was helpful for you
I have two of these on my conservatory. Have one for some time. I fill them with mealworms and the birds fight for space on them every morning. They stay stuck to the glass, are easy to clean in soapy water and seem to last a long time too. I don’t use the string supplied as I am not living in an apartment or using them on an upper storey window. In any case, they have never detached from the glass. They are quite strong, though if you have visiting squirrels they will doubtless destroy them by chewing them. Great item that lets you see the birds at close quarters.
Love this feeder which we have stuck on a window by our dining table so we can watch sparrows eat as we eat! Be warned though, the smaller sized pigeons and collared doves can still feed from this, they land on the top then manoeuvre themselves down. In fact, the feeder is strong enough to support 2 pigeons as I saw the other day, one in the seed tray and one waiting impatiently on the top! Needless to say I’m having to fill it up often…
