Conventional cables over 5 metres in length have never worked reliably for me when trying to output 4k at more than 60hz with HDR. The standard scenario is flickering, dropouts or no image at all.
I have now bought two of these fiber-optic cables and both have worked flawlessly even when adding an HDMI adapter to the PC!
This hdmi wire is a great length. It did the trick, we use it to collect the laptop to the tv(it’s not a smart tv) and then watch our shows/movies. Works well does exactly what it’s supposed to do and is very durable.
This has worked fine at 4k/60 with Arcam, Apple, Sky and other product ranges. Unfortunately, after 18 months, it has failed. I contacted the vendor and they immediately organised a replacement for me, which arrived within 48 hours. Top service.
I run this cable from my PC to my TV and it works extremely well, no interference and it works at 4k with no problems at all.
The cable is strong and well made, but you do have to follow the rules with fibre cables and don’t bend it at extreme angles or the fibres will break inside the cable.
I recommend this product, although it does cost more than some others it definitely does what it is designed to do so you do get what you pay for.
