The product comes in a case that’s in two part you open the bottom and there’s the makeup sponge then twist the tip lid for the foundation, it’s great it goes on smoothly no clogging very light gives an even tone

This is one of my main go to foundations I trust and have been asked by strangers what foundation did I have on! That speaks volumes. Evens out skin tone with a creamy, buildable foundation which has its own sponge applicator. Stays put all day and feels light to wear. If you haven’t tried this, try it now. I have uneven skin tone from having had psoriasis on my face when younger. This gives a natural even look. Love it!

Great for the mature woman when you start getting brown blemishes, covers these up.
More importantly hot flushes are hidden to a degree and great too if you suffer with rosacea. A must have for me!

Definitely not authentic, been buying and using this foundation for years and comparing this packing and sponge to an authorised store bought item, there are differences.. The foundation also isn’t as good at covering but then the price would suggest it’s not real. You get what you pay for and I needed something quick and cheap!
This works but don’t be fooled, it’s not the real deal..

I was a long time user of maybelline mousse makeup which has been discontinued. Trying to find another foundation that provides good coverage without settling into fine lines and pores . This foundation does a decent job although it can be a bit heavy . Primer and moisturise first for best results

I love it, great colour match for my skin, blends well, fairly sheer which I like, bit luminous. I use it as a concealer. Honestly, it is equally as good as many you would pay 30 for. I keep it in my make-up bag for quick touch ups.

This is so lovely light and easy to use.l great for a quick cover up in a rush .. got a lovely cool light feeling so you don’t feel caked as older lady I find it doesn’t sit in the creases. I need a darker colour for summer so will definitely buy more

I am 43 and have tried so many foundations but always come back to max factor. As my skin has changed the creamy texture of this foundation is perfect. I always moisturise first with spf and astral then apply this. You can build where you need more coverage. I have tired eyes sometimes especially as I busy with with four kids and two are toddlers – this little foundation brilliantly hides dark circles no need for extra concealer! I use Pearl beige under the eyes and the rest of my face blushing beige. Love this foundatio

The product is easy to apply, personally I found using my fingers better than the sponge. I thought it would give better coverage on my uneven skin tone, but on reflection, probably only stage makeup can do that. It is a lovely product, gives good overall coverage and feels and looks good on the skin. I’m in my 60’s and would certainly continue using this product. I would give it a 9.5 out of 10.

You unscrew the lid of the 25mm deep jar and look for the product.. what! where is it? It’s in the lid, about 3-4mm deep. The rest of the jar is empty space and a section for a sponge applicator. I only paid 4 for this shade, 40, but my mistake a bit too light. I thought I would try this as every foundation I’ve tried just seems too heavy for me and the ‘cream to liquid’ appealed.

I found that you only had to lightly tap your finger onto the product then apply to your face. I was surprised at the coverage from that tiny amount. Hours later and my face doesn’t feel dry or cakey and it feels like I’m not wearing anything other than my usual moisturiser/SPF/primer.

As I said, my fault, the shade is too light for me so I’ve ordered the shade Natural 70.

Even though I only paid 4 I’ve given 2 stars only for value, we all expect the big box small product thing with makeup but if there was more honesty and only made the jar 10mm deep that would be more acceptable.

Let’s see what the 70 is like.

I’ve used this product for a while so I know it well. It gives quite a heavy coverage (if you want that), but is also very blendable if you want a lighter finish. It is particularly good for minimising pores and is creamy in texture but not greasy and is comfortable on the skin. I find it applies best with fingers or even a moist foundation brush, however it comes with a small applicator sponge which you can moisten, however this seems to waste a lot of the product. This makes up gives a semi matte look depending on how oily your skin type. It does tend to sit in the fine wrinkles a bit but not too badly and lasts pretty well all day as long as you’re not a habitual face toucher. A pretty good foundation for the price if you like good coverage and would recommend.

This is a wonderful product. It is the lightest of creams and goes onto my skin like a whisper. It does not settle into the blessing of wrinkles that life experience has bestowed upon me, but just enhances my skin’s natural colour, gently. I have pale skin – normally I take the palest foundation (alabaster, ivory etc),but now, due to this, a most glorious British Summer, my skin is tanned and this suits it well. My only criticism is that once you open it, you have to turn it over to use the cream. I have just come back from Thailand where they do this better. Each little cosmetic container there is opened, to reveal a sponge, and you move that up to find the product underneath. There is also nearly always a mini mirror in the lid. When I put any day make-up on it is usually just powder blusher on my bare skin, a lip gloss and some mascara, see picture. I am 58 this Thursday and this picture was taken last July. I don’t like to take many products with me, and that includes having to carry mirrors around with me. If I do, it is just a Thai-style blusher compact and a lipstick or gloss. This matters because when you go out most evening bags are very small! they barely leave space for your wallet and a mobile phone. I love compacts which have mirrors in because they are space saving. Please, Max Factor, be clever and try to do it the Thai way! Women all over the world will thank you for it. Despite this, I highly recommend this foundation. Superb quality – as always – from a veteran firm in the field.
