Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe reason for me buying these was to help my baby latching. I suffer with one flat and one inverted nipple. At the start of my journey, I very nearly gave up because the pain was horrendous and quite honestly, I wondered how the hell anyone could ever enjoy or recommend breast feeding. I spent many nights on Google asking when the pain would likely stop whilst nearly crying at the thought of my baby wanting feeding so soon after the last feed.

During my research I saw that these could potentially help by having my nipples ready to feed from.. after using shields and trying different feeding positions, I didn’t have another way to go. After a day of wearing these, I can’t tell you the difference. I was actually enjoying feeding my baby and the inner happiness and self confidence from doing that made me want to cry happy tears!

My baby is 9 weeks old. I had a day off using them and my nipples did stay more latchable than before I got them.. however I realised that my issue wasn’t that. It was something called vasospasm (I learnt during further research). So the ‘former’ concept of these does work, but it also worked for vasospasm pain too. If you suffer with this I highly recommend!!

** HOWEVER there is one frustrating aspect to these – the spillage/leakage when you bend down. Because of their comfort, it’s easy to forget you’re wearing them. BIG mistake – wet patches are not easy to hide, unless you’re wearing black!! I have several versions of these now and some are available with leak preventing additions. Without any accidents, I’ve started to use the leaked milk as back up and freeze for potential needed feeds in the future. I can easily leak and freeze 3oz in one day, just keep in fridge until 3oz then freeze in a bag – without the need to express when it’s hard to find the time.

    Hope this helps

    It helped a lot.
    Shapeing nipple
Don’t allow sorrow when touch the cloths
Help to express milk because it is collecting some when it drops so I was storing them not needed to express again. So I am so happy to have it. Must have for me.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI don’t usually right reviews but feel I need to share this for other struggling mums out thereI’ve been trying to transition from nipple shields for a few weeks now, daughter now 11 weeks and her small size has made latching difficult. I have only started using these today (popping on an hr-ish before planned feed), and every feed following the use of these nipple formers has been a full blown success!! With daughter latching first time and remaining latched and self re-latching throughout. Fingers crossed this continues and I can ditch the shields and the formers.

These really helped my newborn latch on to what was previously a very flat nipple. Easy to wear, forgot I had them in my bra sometimes.

Just be warned if you leak any milk into them, be careful when taking them out. The milk can leak out of the air holes.

Good for flat nipples but also found them invaluable for allowing sore nipples to get some air whilst not feeding- fit into bra. I wore them constantly for the first few weeks after having my first baby after suffering with nipple pain- the shells protected them from rubbing on my bra and gave them air- win!

It might help some people with soft nipples. It’s like a milk leaking collector but with much smaller hole – only for the nipple to fit. The gentle pressure (from your tight top/bra) pops the nipples out which apparently helps to remove adhesions around the nipple. It works ok for me, I think it helped in the long term.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI could see an instant improvement after first day of use and it’s getting better. I don’t know if this will have any impact on breastfeeding as I am still pregnant so cannot yet try, but definitely the flat nipple is becoming more visible and less flat it’s giving me hope that I will be able to breastfeed successfully.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThese were brilliant in preparing for my second child. I wore them every day for the few weeks leading up to her arrival and meant I was able to breastfeed straight away!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersFirst week after giving birth the wifes boobs swelled up like a couple of baloons. Baby couldn’t get a latch. The wife now wears these most of the time to give her nipples more form. Not honestly sure how we would have managed without other than expressing and then bottle feeding.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThese are fab. I have inverted nipples. I used the supple cup to get the nipple out originally then just use these constantly which allows a slow suction to keep them everted for feeding . Also fab as they catch milk . Only downfall is if they fill up u cannot bend over (milk everywhere) and I find them hard to clean (quite time consuming) !!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAn amazing product. Would recommend to anyone who is struggling to get their baby to latch. I used these for approx four days when my baby was born to assist with his latch. Worked a dream and now not required. Without these I wouldn’t still be breastfeeding now!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought these because I have flat nipples and I was told these could help. To be honest I have not paid much attention to how much these have helped for that BUT…..I am nursing and I HATE wearing a bra, I just find them uncomfortable. These are great to use on an every day basis as they give your nipples a rest as you haven’t got your bra constantly rubbing against your breasts.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersReally struggled with breast feeding to begin with. I would not have been able to continue easily without these.

I have quite flat nipples & struggled until I started using these. They provide a gap to stop friction on sensitive nipples, allowing them to heal (if necessary) or to prevent damage. They also help to shape nipples for a better latch. Does not cause nipple/bottle confusion as shields can. This product has changed the whole breastfeeding experience for me.

Also, I roll up a cotton wool pad in mine (& change when saturayed) to absorb some leaking, otherwise it pours out when you lean forward and that is most unglamorous.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThey work although not as effective as nipple suction cups. These shields are much more discreet though and I also use them over my little suction cups to keep them in place. So the combination works well.

You can find soft silicone suction cups online without the tube and syringe which are more comfortable than nipplettes. The suction is created by squeezing the tip as you place them on.

For everyone with flat nipples or for breast feeding beginers ! When I started breast feeding my baby my nipples were REALLY sore and just by touching the bra they would hurt even more . By using this it doesn’t allow them to rub against my clothes and allows them to bread . I still recomend a good nipple cream tu use along but like I said : Life Saver . Breast feeding hurts a bit at starts but with this and pacience it does stops hurting in a few days … Good luck mummys !

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI was advise to buy these by my midwife in order to prepare for breastfeeding. I have been wearing them for a short period every day for a couple of weeks and can already see that they are doing the job. I personally wouldn’t wear them out as they are quite large and therefore obvious under clothing, but they are certainly effective and comfortable to wear.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersMy mum suggested these to me in the early days of nursing as she suffered from flat/inverted nipples as I did. These don’t use suction, as some have misunderstood, but pressure to gently make your nipple more pronounced.

For me, they were a godsend at the beginning. I had one flat and one inverted nipple. Using these kept my nipples from going back to their natural flatness between feedings, making it easier for my baby to latch on to the next feed. The holes keep the air circulating, which is great if you’ve suffered nipple trauma and need to keep you bra off the skin. A bit of lanolin and we healed much faster. The downside of the holes is that you can create quite a wet spot on your shirt if you have been leaking milk then bend over! I used breast pads whenever I wore these to help absorb any leaks.

I wore these nearly every day for 2 months , sterilised them overnight and boiled them every few days. They held up well to regular use. After about 2 months we no longer need them, they did their job and baby did his so I’ve got easily latchable nipples now! 😉

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI chose this product because of Medela’s good name and because I couldn’t use the Avent Niplette during the last trimester of my pregnancy. So far I have worn them on and off as I remember for the last two weeks and I can now start to see a difference. I bought these to prepare for bf as I had problems the first time around? They don’t have a strong suction but somehow they do seem to work. Would just advise against using them too long too soon as it will become tender. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I haven’t been able to see if it helps with bf yet (I am only 36wks now) but I will keep wearing and using them. I have found them to be inconspicuous but then I am a size A and at home or under coats you don’t really notice the difference.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWas worried about flat nipples but too embarrassed to ask anyone about it. Bought these towards end of pregnancy and found them.easy to wear (although they do fill out your bra a bit so I only wore them really at home). Have been breastfeeding successfully for 5 months. Can’t really say if these helped prepare nipples for breastfeeding or whether it would have been ok anyway, but certainly don’t think they did any harm.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI failed to bf my son because he wasnt able to latch on, but when I was pregnant with my daughter I wore these for a few weeks and she had no problem latching on straight after birth…now at 14 months we are still going strong, all thanks to this little gadget. 🙂
