The picture appears to show the 2 sides equal. They are not, it’s a rectangle not a square. As it happens it works for me. It’s sturdy and useful . I might even get another one.
I am putting this review after an year of using it. I use it to keep plates, bowls and cups. It is a durable product and has served us well over the past yea
his is just what I needed after moving house and the new kitchen having cupboard without shelves in, this allows me to get all my plates in and not have to bend down so much, could do with being slightly bigger as only fits up to medium plates, not big dinner plates but overall a neat and cheap enough solutio
Bought this item in February 2021 and still using it. It is still in perfect condition just like when I have received it so I definitely recommend it if you need to save some space. I wasn’t very impressed when I received it thinking it might fall or something but it is definitely worth it.
I just bought one. I might look for another if not a corner one.
Superbly efficient. I wish I’d spotted years ago. Good idea for separating types of plate, so remove and replace plates in an organised way.
Quite sturdy.
I love this for all sorts of things, sometimes I put my finished cup cakes on it looks attractive with doilies underneath, great for kids party, can even jazz up at Christmas with mince pies but at the moment I use it for plates
Fits well, stores right amount, only minor concern is if you don’t have plates on bottom shelf only on top two it feels unstable. No issues have occurred just makes me slightly nervous!
These shelf inserts are simple, made fully of metal and do their job very well. It’s a great way of creating more space in kitchen cupboards. Previously, we stacked all plates – large, medium, small – in a single pile, which made it very difficult to get out the plates from the bottom. Now we can separate them on different levels, which is a great help. The construction is very sturdy and I would happily recommend this product!
Am using these to sort out one of my flat’s kitchen cupboards, which has hardly any space, so taking out and putting back differently shaped plates and bowls has been a real chore. This rack does the job of keeping things organised and tidy and creates more space in the cupboard. It fits into the left-hand corner. However, it is a bit wobbly. I’m only placing 3-4 items on each shelf at the moment (I’ve put the rest away or stored what I don’t need to use on the top shelf of the cupboard). The lowest frame, for plates, is a bit small, but just about works for the plates I have.
I would recommend this as a cheap storage solution for everyday use in a flat for 1-2 people, but I wouldn’t use it for storing large piles of plates, or for any expensive or precious china sets. If I were using more valuable dinnerware I’d look for something sturdier and higher quality, even if I had to pay a bit more.
It also arrived with some smudges and sticky stains on it, which I had to clean off with isopropyl alcohol.
I ORDERED 2RACKS 1FOR MYSELF AND 1 FOR A FRIEND THE REASON I BOUGHT THIS ITEM SO I COULD PUT MY CROCKERY ON TO PUT ON UNIT HAS I’M DISABLED AND I CAN’T GET DOWN TO GET DISHES OUT AND MY HUBBY HAD A HIP REPLACEMENT AFTER A FALL IT IS ONE OF THEBEST I HAVE BOUGHT AND IT GETS USED AND NOT PUT IN CUPBOARD AND FORGOT ABOUT IT
for sure wobbles, i wish it was sturdier buy i liver the idea. it is so easy for me to access all the plates now and i don’t have to lift 12 plates to get the size plate i wa
Great corner plate rack, especially for small kitchen and lack of storage space. Fits our cupboard perfectly and makes it look neat.
Although slightly wobbly, it holds our heavy stoneware and feels safe enough if you’re careful.
A bit wobbly. Tight space between the layers so each layer can contain only up to 4 plates. If you maximise the space, it will be hard to get the plates out, especially for ceramics.
They are a good store stacking plates for my kitchen cupboards. They even fit cereal bowls in them. Had a slight problem with one of the two units I ordered, whereby the middle shelf was not aligned properly and had a distorted shape. The seller was very approachable, wanting to rectify the problem to ensure my satisfaction.
Awaiting delivery of a replacement unit.
Happy to have this item to tidy up a cupboard with so many plates of various sizes! When it arrived and I unwrapped & put it down on flat surface it wobbled a bit. I found I had to kind of force one of the racks into a better position which wasn’t a big deal – maybe everyone has to do this? But I was a little surprised as until I did that the stability was off.
Woukd buy again though. Very handy.
It does the job. Holds enough plates for a family of 5. Feels a little wobbly at times though. Nothing has fallen off it yet. All side openings are large enough to fit plates through so any direction you need to store it will work.
This corner shelf does away with stacking too many plates on top of each other making it difficult to get the ones that you want.
I can easily put 7 large sized plates on the middle shelf and I think I can get two more on the bottom. I put the medium size plates at the top. It is quite shaky when taking plates off but I have inserted my corner shelf in a deep cupboard so I don’t think it will topple over.
It was wasn’t straight when it arrived and had to be pulled out to straighten, it was strong enough to withstand a good pull. No real issues with wonkiness since then.
Really useful product to help make best use of the space in the cupboards. It is really annoying having lots of plates stacked on top of each other and this product helps to overcome this. I was a little concerned that the product wobbles slightly, however have gotten used to it and it does not seem to be an issue. I would recommend.
Sturdy little item for organising plates in my kitchen cupboard – my plates are very heavy but that has not been a problem at all.
Rather expensive compared with my nearest supermarket, but I needed them in a hurry so paid the price.
It’s OK… I am happy with it I have such a small kitchen I need all the help I can get but it’s way smaller than anticipated! When I looked at it I didn’t think the plates would fit if I’m honest! But they do and I’m just wondering how long it will last as its not that strong! We shall see!
This was an exellent space saver and organiser. My kitchen cabinet definitely looks better for it. However, I do with the layers were a bit taller/more spread out as getting soup plates or bowls in and out is a bit of a pain…
Purchased to replace our existing plate stand, that would give way and let plates slide out of the top three holders.
This is much more sturdy, the upper two shelves have bars across to give the shelves more strength and to hold plates and dishes securely, the bottom on is just a frame but as this holds our large square dinner plates, it works perfectly, the heavy square dishes and tea plates are now held securely and we no longer find the tea plates slide out of the rack. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a space saving crockery storage system, can be used in both base and wall units, to give you more space by stacking them above each other and making it easy to access all items no need to remove the top and middle ones to get at the dinner plates, as you have plenty of room to slide out any of the cookery with ease.
Is it sturdy? Yes. Could it be better? Yes! Just check the video, it wobbles each time you put any item on it which is annoying. Easy to fix but one would hope that QA would pick this up.
Used to save some space in cupboard and did just that.
Pros:saved a fair amount of space
Cons:not overly sturdy and a bit wobbly but it’s still holding a full set of 6 dinner plates, 6 side plates and 6 bowls although the bowls won’t stack in one pile but that’s probably more due to shape of my bowls.
Would definitely buy another if needed
Much better than the plate stand I replaced with this! Our old one was purchased for a similar price but was not as sturdy and not as good a design. This one is a rack design where our old one was just a frame with an open bit in the middle, meaning that a pile of heavy plates made it start to go out of shape and I had to use gaffa tape to stop the side plates from falling through a bit. It seems a bit silly to enthuse about a plate stand but every time I open the cupboard I feel a sense of satisfaction seeing my plates on this one!
Love it and my friends too. For some reason manufacturer of my kitchen unit put only 1 shelf in, so I had lots of unused space and could not place all dishes from old cupboard in. It is very annoying to have 18 plates on each other and you must take 16 out if you want bottom plate. BUT Not with this unit anymore. Highly recommended if you like your cupboard unit tidy and practical. Material is sturdy enough to hold my plates and other glassware without bending down or loosing shape. Wire is coated by white plastic coating so I presume it will not rust. I have bought 4 together as happy with result. Thank you.
This is really goood for me in kitchen cupboard as have two sets of white dinner plates but two different designs on them so a pain as always get mismatched ones or have to move one or two to get matching ones. This seemed ideal and is. It means I can put the sets of dinner plates on each shelf of it. I use the bottom one as that seems to balance it a lot better. On the top one I have put small side white ones.
Really good space saver too instead of three spaces needed for the two sets of dinner plates and the side ones just plain non designed ones, just one is needed.
Coated in white plastic and comes well boxed. Just a useful kitchen item that if doing a spring clean and wanting to get cupboard organised worth looking at as saves on plate juggling I can tell you.
Although this is a neat little shelf, it’s not really clear that it’s not actually rectangular. The picture makes it appear that it is, when actually one side is slightly tapered. This doesn’t really affect it much, except that there is less space on the shelf for storage. However it’s fairly sturdy (have only just received it so will update if it starts to sag) with my plates on it so far, and fits in the cupboard. It’s a tiny bit small for my largest plates, but as these are stored at the bottom it doesn’t make a huge difference thankfully 🙂
