Good keyboard, nice touch keys, can’t comment on mouse as using a wireless one.
Good quality, soft keys on the keyboard & what you would expect from Microsoft. Would recommend.
On pictures shift button twice bigger, I got use to that, no issues with keyboard so far, just wrong button sizes on advertised picture.
It’s a simple wired keyboard and mouse, it does what you’d expect of it for a reasonable price. Seems well made, my only issue is the keyboard can be noisy, but nothing major.
Only had a little while but seems to works perfect. Working from home, find is nicer typing on this rather than on laptop keys. Glad to go for Microsoft rather than unknown named one. Worth getting.
Paid a touch more for the name as I have just returned another keyboard and mouse. Well it paid off, still not super expensive but it is excellent and very key responsive, the extending feet put the keyboard at a good angle and hold it to the surface well.
Wanted wired and the mouse is too and it is comfortable in the hand.
No complaints, would recommend!
Keyboard is great. Ordered as part of the buy keyboard and mouse together. Mouse delivered day earlier, opened and used. Keyboard turns up next day and it has the same mouse in the box. So now I have 2 mice.
Very annoying….
My old Keyboard had gone all wobbly, and some of the buttons needed a right good beasting to get them to work
I am not into arty farty stuff with silly graphics and daft features
I just wanted a simple keyboard that a clumsy animal like me could type on
I am impressed
excellent layout
it has lots of letter on and numbers
and some other stuff that I told does other things
it also came with a mouse, as my one had teeth marks from our pet Landshark
she has not chewed this one, so I am impressed
I have fingers like bananas but this keyboard and mouse combo work really well
I chose this keyboard mainly because it said it was spill-proof (after my last Mac keyboard stopped working due to water damage). The keyboard works well with a Mac – I didn’t need to install a separate driver for the keyboard to work. Another water cup spillage over the keyboard this morning, but keyboard still works fine. We did use the hairdryer on the keyboard just in case, but the main thing is that water getting into the keyboard didn’t seem to have any effect. Useful if you have thirsty kids doing online home-schooling!
Miss leading when ordered keyboard & mouse, you also without knowing order addtional mouse? which i have hopefully cancelled…also be aware about sigining up to Prime, be very careful ! again for some reason un be knowing to me i’ve signed up for Prime, when in fact i didn’t…
It is amazing how working with low-noise keys and light-up caps lock is so important.
Don’t be fooled that wireless is better as it relies on a 100% reliable connection when most of us suffer blips and batteries which fail when it’s most inconvenient!!
I am using it for routine office applications, but quite tricky documents, email etc
Compared to standard Logitech and Dell keyboards issued by work, both of which had rear riser stands that COLLAPSED at the most inopportune moments when the keyboard moved slightly which is inevitable and happened multiple times during the course of the day, if, like me you move around whilst working.
– Microsoft stays ahead again!!
Hope this helps you to avoid buying something you will later regre
Along with the iiyama monitor purchased this for the wife to use for work, she has had no issues using this, finds it lovely to type on and has used some of the shortcut keys. Haven’t used the volume settings or for gaming. I have just purchased one for my laptop and will be putting it through it’s paces when it arrives
The wife didn’t want to use the mouse, so I utilised it, can’t fault it, very responsive even for gaming, my only gripe is while my desk is immaculately clean, for some reason the bottom of it gathers a lot of dust, eventually it begins to scrape across the desk, the sound goes through me, you have use a damp cloth to wipe it clea
Over the years I have had many different keyboards some from Microsoft and some from other producers. With that said, especially for the price this is one of the better keyboards I have purchased. Microsoft, in my experience, tends to be quite good at making keyboards which are comfortable to use and designed with ergonomics in mind, this keyboard matches this pattern. Obviously, if you had a higher budget you would be able to get a much more comfortable keyboard however for the price this keyboard will do the job if you use a keyboard for a good amount of your day. However, if you do intensive work during this time, such as long essay writing or business document writing then you would be better off spending a larger amount of money.
One of my favourite features of Microsoft keyboards is the calculator shortcut key which for someone which uses the calculator quite frequently is a huge timesaver. Along with this, the volume and video control keys can save time if used efficiently.
However the keyboard and mouse do have their limitations, firstly they are both wired which if you are looking for a keyboard and mouse which is more versatile you are better looking for a wireless alternative. Secondly, the mouse is smaller than others so if you have large hands that could be an area of concerns for you. Other than those though the keyboard and mouse is overall of good quality and worth buying if you are looking for a budget keyboard which does the job.
Summary
Pros –
Microsoft keyboard shortcuts (calculator button, sound/video controls)
The ergonomics of the keyboard are acceptable
Great price for the product
Cons –
Smaller than a normal mouse (mainly thinner than a regular mouse)
Wired
I needed a keyboard and mouse to use with small laptop so that I could work from home more comfortably. This fitted the bill and very similar to the one in the workplace office, employer does not allow Bluetooth accessories. It is a basic design and thus no bells and whistles. It does what it is designed for.
I got this keyboard and mouse combo because it was cheap. I use it to run occasional admin on a server, other than that they just sit behind everything.
I wouldn’t recommend this for anything but occasional use, mushy keys are terrible for extended periods of typing and the tactile feedback is non existent. So not great for gaming either.
Pros: cheap, pretty reliable (under my use case) and wired so no worries about long idle times draining batteries, also I prefer optical mice rather than laser – it doesn’t pick up wood grain or other textures if you don’t use a mouse mat.
Cons: mushy keys, no tactile feedback – if you’re going to be typing, or any gaming it may be worth splashing a bit more cash.
Mouse, low dpi – so again not great for gaming, but since I don’t game that much anymore its not a concern to me.
Quiet compact keyboard that doesn’t lack in features. I bought this to use for work as my current set was becoming very grubby & who knows who’d used it prior. Finding something that wouldn’t break the bank but did the job I opted for this. At less than 20 you can’t beat it for what it is. Star ratings mentioned use for gaming- probably not the best of features to ask to rate but I guess it could work, although I use this in the office so couldn’t comment. I’ve only just started using this week so time will tell how long it lasts, graphics to the buttons seem more of a small vinyl decal so may wear off over time but for the price I’m willing to take that risk.
Overall 10/10
The keyboard can be raised (see images), the mouse is tactile and a good size and the leads are more than long enough to reach all the way around my desk to the computer unit, which is not situated close to desk area. Furthermore, the keys make a nice, soft tapping noise and all of the functions I need are included, as well as a few extras.
Good price for a genuine combo set, purchased Saturday afternoon and arrived within 24 hours with Prime, despite current circumstances. Would definitely purchase again and recommend.
This is a quality “cheap” keyboard and mouse.
Out of the box, plugged into my Windows PC and worked. The keys are easy to use, it is a full size, but not too big, keyboard with number pad. The keys are pretty quiet in use.
The mouse is an optical mouse so no ball. Again, it worked straight out of the box. The scroll wheel works as I would expect it to.
I bought this for Work From Home as the keyboard and mouse pad on the laptop don’t give full control so I can’t rate the gaming or volume control.
Was getting intermittent connection with wireless mouse and keyboard so gone back to wired. No problems with the mouse – does all the things it should. Keyboard felt a bit clunky when first got it But having used it for a bit the key have started to loosen up. Overall pleased that they do what they should with no fuss. As they are wired simply plug them into a USB port and your good to go (we’ve got 8 USB ports so plenty to spare). Also no need for batteries. One could argue they were not cheap. However, I would say that these do feel like they have been well made.
The keyboard is fantastic, it does not feel like a cheap budget keyboard, and I generally like MS keyboards and this one is no exception, yes there are things about it some folks would prefer, this or that but that happens with pretty much everything you buy.
As an everyday keyboard, it is super, it is a good size but not too big, full number pad, a few useful action keys, the keys, in general, are fairly quiet with a softish touch and are generally easy to hit with precision, not too much spring or height either, and not too loud or clicky and there are LEDs for the NumLock, Caps Lock.
The mouse, feels budget, and is a bit noisy on the clicks, though not the worst I have heard, and to be fair it does the job very well, it is light and moves well across the mouse mat, the wheel again is a bit tacky but it works and turns easily enough so not really much to complain about for the cash.
You can install the Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse Center too if you want more customisation over the set and you are on Windows.
The only key that does not work natively on one of my PCs (an Ubuntu Linux PC) is the Calculator key, but this is not a problem, I have it on a shortcut/favourite anyway and on a gnome extension, and you can also remove the calculator from the snap store and re-add it via the apt, after which the calculator key works just fine.
Overall, a super bit of budget kit from MS at a super price and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a replacement set or spare/stand-in set and not looking to spend a great deal of cash.
Installed with no problems and no need for additional drivers so up and running. The mouse action is smooth and accurate. I have had a Microsoft wireless set for a few years and been happy with the build and longevity and have no reason to suspect that these will be any different despite the keen price. If you were using all day every day it might be better to go for something a bit more ergonomic. but for an occasional user who wants reliable and long lasting I think you can;t go wrong with these.
Appearance wise it is neat and compact, without the rear feet out it sits flush to the desk surface with a comfortable ‘rise’ angle for typing. The sturdy rear feet extended increases the ‘rise’ and vastly improves your visibility of the keys and buttons.
The row of function or ‘F’ keys are quite small compared to the traditional keyboard layout, I personally find them slightly harder to press because of this and also the labels on the function/’F’ keys are very small – enough to make them difficult to read if you have any problems with vision. Their small size however does help with the compact layout and differentiates them from the row of ‘normal’ number keys along the top of the qwerty board.
Reaffirms my belief that Microsofts keyboards are some of the best.
Thanks for reading.

The MS mouse is fine, too, and the set is thoroughly recommended for anyone looking for a good budget-priced keyboard and mouse, or just as a backup set.
I like it but I don’t love it. What I did love was my previous keyboard which was the Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard 3000. That was the nicest keyboard I’d ever had and I really wanted to purchase it again but it appears Microsoft do not make it. The closest option to it I could find was only available in wireless which I didn’t want. So I opted for this 600 set. It’s similar in appearance, the keys are real nice on it, low set and quiet just like the 3000 apart from missing a lot of media keys. This also makes the 600 a very smaller slimmer model which I was aware of when purchasing obviously via the images. It’s very light weight and will get some getting used to if you have used bigger media keyboards in the past. As for the mouse, well it is just a joy to have a mouse that works properly. I’d forgotten what that was like. I’d been working with a small LED mouse for a number of years now, the scroll wheel had stopped working and webpages would move up and down whenever trying to right click a link. It’s stupid that it even took me so long to look into getting a new mouse. So I’m really happy to have this little Microsoft one that does what it is meant too. As I said, I like it but I do not love it just yet.
I bought this wired keyboard and mouse to replace a wireless version that often dropped keystrokes and had an ergonomic layout, which I don’t like. The keyboard has quite shallow key depression distance, but it is comfortable to type on (for a non-touch typist) and the mouse is comfortable in my hand. I like the programmable buttons and the ability to mute sound from a single key-press is really useful. It is also possible to launch frequently used programs from the play key (instead of playing music), but I am using the default setting for now. I guess the other useful feature is that the cable length is very generous, which makes plugging into the USB ports very easy despite having to feed the cable around the back of a desk.
This combo is absolutely wonderful. The last combo that I bought some 5 years ago was still perfectly usable (and the wife doesn’t know but it is hidden away in the back of a cupboard) but I was persuaded to have a new one as a birthday present. This set is every bit as good as the last with the keyboard being perfect for typing with just the right amount of bounce and feel on the keys so that you can rest your fingers without setting off a repeat stream but being responsive enough that just the right amount of pressure to make contact with exact response so that you don’t need to check on the screen because you know that each keypress has given one character at each press. The mouse is a nice shape to fit in the hand (mine anyway) and glides smoothly on the mousemat and each button press is very responsive. An excellent piece of kit and an excellent price.
A good bundle if you just want something for to do some work with. You can game with this product just fine but that wasn’t this products intention.
I just bought this because my mouse and keyboard were old and broken. I do recommend this if you just need a quick buy to get using your PC and don’t care to much about what brands to buy
I have spilled a bit of beer on the keyboard and is still working and so far not sticking
Pros:
Mouse + Keyboard combo
Works as expected
comfortable to work with
Got a dedicated calculator button1!! Can do math
Cons:
Don’t like the small Escape button and F-Keys on the keyboard. My finger slips/misses when I want to pause games
Smells like beer now
I was looking for something better than a plain cheat keyboard and this is a good option but of course it is not the best one. I like it in general but the grab it has in the desk is not very good. When I type a lot it moves and makes a sound. I work in a crowded office so for me it was very important to have a quiet equipment and this doesn’t do the job that well. It is easy to type and minimum effort but still the keys make sound, maybe that’s inevitable but unfortunately I had higher expectations, that si why I am not giving 5 full stars
Arrived within 4 days of ordering at the present cost of 15.26 free P&P. Well packaged. Plugged into usb and they worked instantly. (I have Windows 7).
Nice clear keyboard. The keys are easy to read, clear white on black, slightly concave so your fingers sit in easily and slightly textured not shiny plastic. It also is a lot quieter than my last keyboard but with a satisfying small click which I like! Wouldn’t want one too silent!
It also has small props which can be opened out to raise the keyboard if you like. Has all the keys and they’re in the right place! One thing I would say is that the F keys (function keys? F4 etc.) are very small and, if you use them often it would be easy to mis-hit. Not a problem for me as I never know without looking where they are anyway! Usual numeric pad on the right, windows explorer button, volume controls and scrlk (screen lock?) Just found a button which automatically brings up the calculator – that’ll be handy! My old keyboard was horribly ancient so not sure whether these are standard anyway!!
Mouse is a perfect size, (not too small which a lot of them seem to be), and fits in the hand easily. Optical technology is so much quicker than my last “roller ball” type mouse! It’s wired which I wanted as I didn’t want to be bothered with batteries and I think a wireless mouse would probably end up on the floor!
If the F keys were larger it would be perfect but this is only a minor gripe. Overall, very pleased indeed and it’s a pleasure to use! Highly recommend it.
I was looking for a relatively shallow keyboard because I’m used to a MacBook keyboard, and deep keys often trip me up while writing.
This arrived, took only seconds to set up with my macbook (after being prompted to press a key next to the left shift- but this will only happen if you’re using it with a mac), and is so far very nice!
The keys are very quiet indeed. They don’t press down far, and feel pretty soft to the touch. It can take a little time getting used to, but I’m already feeling myself get adjusted to them! Just as an example of my adaption in approximately 1 hour.
MacBook keyboard:
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.
New Keyboard:
The quickl brown fox jumped ogver the lazy dog.
Considering other keyboards make typing a hell of a lot worse for me than that, I’d say this is very impressive!
By contrast, the mouse has a rather loud click, which I’m not too happy about, but that’s the only downside. The scroll wheel has a lovely notched feel to it, and it tracks perfectly on a wooden desk without any mousemat.
Package also arrived relatively quickly, and was packed into an Amazon box with a rather long sheet of packing paper. (Useful for firelighters too!)
All in all, this is a wonderful product, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap keyboard and mouse combo!
I got through keyboards in my Home like a smoker goes through packs of Cigg’s.. lol it seem’s that way.
As I drink lots of tea and coffee, I am forever spilling, guess where? yes! on the keyboard, what a mess.
Then it gets around the electronics, and gets sticky because of the sugar, so they become useless..
Well from now on I’m only buying value keyboards so if they have to be replaced I’m not out a small fortune.
Now with this keyboard written on the keyboard BOX, is spill proof, liquid proof. what a surprise.!
Because of my clumsy experience, I hope not to try, but will update my review if it works.
I bought this Keyboard because it was the only Value set, to include a FREE Mouse at virtually little extra.
To have a decent mouse by Microsoft included, was an extra 2 quid, next best thing to a genuine bargain.
Only cost 12 quid for the complete desktop when I bought, so I’m NOT Complaining, its a nice set.
The Keyboard is very responsive and looks very trendy, the mouse is a cable USB version but is great.
I can remember spending 20 quid on a single USB Cable mouse, 5 years ago in a well known store.
Now you can have your cake and eat it, all for a small price, “MS Keyboard and Optical mouse” 5/5.
please buy will stocks last. Looks the Bizz.!
The mouse is equally good – it is well shaped and offers good, positive control, plus, you can customise it using the MIcrosoft software making it flexible for both left and right handed users.
I can recall when keyboards cost the earth and we weren’t allowed coffee at our desks because of the potential cost of a spillage over our keyboards – oh, how things have moved on, I just can’t believe how good this keyboard and mouse are for the money. This keyboard and mouse set will suit most people (especially those who don’t want wireless) and probably last years. In summary, an excellent buy offering quality and value. Recommended.
