It great tool but having to be careful using it because the chain might come loose often, no matter you set the tension up, not great needs to be remodified by the makers
I was so excited to receive this item, as soon as it arrived I charged the battery over night so I could go into the garden and use it this morning. Unfortunately I got about half hours use out of it before the battery run out which is massively disappointing. I rate it 4 stars due to the very short battery life
This is fab for quickly and safely cutting young trees/branches. It was easy to handle – beware to read and follow safety instructions.
Light weight. Used once so not sure about longevity and battery life etc.
Works great. Cuts through 3-4 inch branches like butter. Miles easier than manually sawing and saved loads of time. Used it for a good hour with no signs of the battery dying. Love i
Cut through tree branches with little effort, so much better than my hacksaw I needed to cut down a tree growing through the fence so I can replace the fence. The instructions are a bit tricky, still haven’t worked out what they mean!
This is really good. Better than I was expecting it. Very easy to use and very efficient. I’ve not used it too much. So I haven’t had to change the ride or anything yet. But honestly it’s really handy and adaptable.
Everything I expected from this little saw, I can use it easily and has helped no end in the garden..the branches haven’t been enormous, but just enough for me and my overgrown and woody forsythia and laurel
Although it had a problem with the safety lock and had to be returned. It was fantastic for the job and really saved time. Easy to use and battery lasted a long time. Cut branches with no problem at all.
yes it works, good battery life so far, cut fine, the only thing i don’t like is the fact it has no oil tank, you have to keep spraying the chain when cutting and nothing to tell you that you need to in the info that it comes with it, but so long as you keep the chain oiled it should last for garden pruning for years, and i have cut up pallets and timber with this with not problems
Having found myself too nervous to use my full sized chainsaw, thought I’d try this out.
Came ready to use, battery already charged. Feels solid, and the mechanism is easily controllable and far less likely to cause injury.
I worked for forty minutes plus bringing down a good size tree (not the trunk, but all the branches, some a few inches thick). It dealt with everything I threw at it.
Such was the ease of use that I ended up doinfg far more than I intended, and have chopped the branches up for burning.
The only criticism was that twice the mechanism jammed when wood wedged into the chain near the handle, but ten seconds with a knife quickly dislodged the items.
This is a great deal at full price, but as I got it reduced I’m doubly pleased.
I’ve only had it long enough for one serious job, but my immediate impression is entirely positive.
My neigbour even came across to ask about it after seeing me goinfg through the tree with such ease. Great tool!
Bought this wondering just how good it would be. I have a tree that needs it’s branches pruning every year. I bought this to see if it would speed the process up. Yes, it certainly did, I had the whole tree done in about an hour, usually takes me about 4 hours with a hand saw! The only negative is that the saw leaves a rough edge on the end of the cut, the branch was a little frayed, I found out that I had to get a firm grip of the branch to stop this but it wasn’t always possible to do this due to the branch location. Most branches were around 1 – 2 cm in diameter, some were up to 4 cm. I did the whole tree on one battery and didn’t need to recharge it, so from that aspect pretty happy.
Will be using it again next year.
I bought this to prune a tree in the garden. It’s great , for the money you pay its brilliant value for money. It’s comes with a spare chain, chain removal tool , gloves and case. If I paid someone to cut this tree back it would of cost me much more. My only criticism is the battery life. You’ll be lucky to get 30 mins to 45 mins out of it and takes about 2 to 3 hours to get a full charge . Apart from that it’s definitely a worthy purchase.
I have always envied my neighbour’s chainsaw with which they deftly cut down bushes outside their house. However I was always so afraid of such a massive implement, fearing that a wrong move might see me demolishing more than I bargained for- I am a petite woman. However, the mini chainsaw does just as good a job and is nowhere near as terrifying. I am so thrilled that I bought it. I assure you that you won’t be disappointed if you do the same.
Just butchered 3 x overgrown trees in the back garden. What a gem of a tool. Like a hot knife going through butter. Nothing but praise for the tool so far. Comes with 2 x spare chains too, still unused. Say goodbye to the handsaws A total game changer on the thick branches but still used a large and small prunes on the thinner branches as the tool was to rough to get a smooth clean cut
Still giving it a 10/10
I have found this invaluable
The chainsaw is housed in a sturdy plastic box with strong clips attached . There are a few tools in the box relevant to helping keep the saw in a good safe condition.
I found when fully charged it lasted sometime .
Allowing me to get quite a lot of branches cut up before needing to be recharged.
Most importantly I like the safety feature it has a double button action so can’t switch on accidentally. And has a cover over the chainsaw area .
Being a lady heading towards 80 trying to keep the garden in order it has been invaluable.
Got this to help me take down a gigantic treehouse. Served its purpose pretty well. Lasted me around 90 mins before a recharge, but obviously I wasn’t continually cutting for that 90 mins. I’d guess continuous cutting is around 20-25 mins. Cuts pretty decently and, especially for demolition, it saved me literally HOURS. Doesn’t seem to make the cleanest of cuts though, so for any kind of construction, this probably isn’t your tool.
Cutting anything thicker than 4″ is a struggle for this machine, but it still gets through.
Chain dulls pretty quick, so I’d you envisage a long project, get some replacements.
I used it to cut some overhanging 2-4 inch thick branches, in general, it did a good job but had to tighten the chain very quickly after the first use, perhaps ensure your chain is tight before using it, the instructions are light. I applied some chainsaw oil before using it of course, I recommend you do too.
All in all, I see this getting used more often, plan to cut some more branches next week, and for the money, it’s decent value. I can see this cutting thicker branches or small (thin) trees if you work it from different sides.
Oh i absolutely love this little hand held chain saw it is my favourite new toy. It is easy to use and it will cut branches upto about 5 inches thick. I live next to a wood and through the storms they caused quite a few downed trees and i was out a good couple of hours cutting the branches down for clearing before coming in for a coffee. I put it on charge while on my break but it hadn’t ran out at that point just gave it a top up. Spent a good 6 hours cutting branches that day with no problems at all totally worth it. Oh and i am a lady of 52 🙂
About the size and weight of a cordless screwdriver, and just as easy to charge up.
Lightweight allows one hand operation, which if your up a step ladder pruning trees is very handy.
Very sharp, very quick.
I suggest a good pair of garden gloves, as it is that sharp.
VERY handy little tool that has replaced two chainsaws I own, as this little thing gets in places other chainsaws dare not mention?
Battery run time is longer than my own run time, so for an average gardener, plenty of run time, and it charges back up quickly anyway.
Not recommended for very thick hardwood branches or trunks, its only a 4 inch chain, but has cut 3 and a half inch fir tree branches here with ease.
5 star, for what it is, its a good tool that will be used a lot.
It works beautifully, I have cut through 5 -10 cm branches in seconds. Make sure to wear gloves and goggles as really small pieces will be flying around, Maybe make use of a face covering too.
The battery lasts plentiful time to cut back several trees.
The build quality overall does feel cheep but, well, it is cheap.
more importantly, it easily gets the job done well and quickly.
As for safety.. be careful! it is a chainsaw, its job is to cut and it will cut you if you let it.
Overall I recommend it.
