Fantastic product. Easy to use following package instructions. Had an ugly lawn with several patches on. Using every 2-3 weeks and getting a greeny and lush lawn. Really happy with the results, pictures taken in June 23 and now in August 23.
I have tried both solid and liquid lawn feeds. Solid feeds need the roller machine and you often end up with uneven spread especially at start and finish points.
This is far easier. Clip it on the hose and the lawn is fed in a matter of minutes. I use it every three weeks in the season and it really greens the lawn.
After a prolonged drought, my grass was brown and struggling to recover. After watering for a few days, I tried this. Within 48 hours, my lawn was a deep shade of green – compared to my neighbour’s, it was night and day.
I’ve got faster growing, thicker, stronger, and more drought resistant grass thanks to this product.
As a caveat, be aware that this is a hypernitrate, so any flower beds nearby could easily see a huge flush of greenery too. Not an issue for most things, but my 1.5m tall cosmos are a month late flowering as a result!
The most effective and economical way I have found to feed my lawn, my grass is greener (close up) thicker and healthier than its ever been. Just use it, you won’t be disappointed.
What a difference in 5 days. The first photo is before using and the second photo is 5 days after applying. Grass has greened up and thickened out. The patches are starting to fill in from new grass growth to.
You see that corner of the garden gets no light PLUS for 4yrs that area has been covered by layers of old carpet so it’s had absolutely no UV light just years of snow & rain covered carpet laying there & the rest of the garden was patchy missing grass so I decided to do something about it & I purchased Grass Seeds (they’ll be on my profile) a watering can & a small gardening set (again on my profile).
Now the first pic is of the product along with the grass that it’s helped grow as I was expecting nothing this year I was hoping for maybe a few millimetres of green just to say next year we’ll be up.
I was watering before I started to use the Miracle-Gro fortnightly as the garden is very patchy & like in image 2 it’s started growing through & you can still see a little of what it was like before plus picture 2 is a pic of something that was completely dried light brown cracked mud say 3-4 months ago with absolutely nothing growing & where it’s looking bare that’s more like pic 3 now as on my initial go I’d just had a cast removed from my right arm so I just had a go with the belief of nothing & I’m in total disbelief, lovely thick rich green grass, Brilliant, Just brilliant.
MADNESS! Look at the photos were it’s still patchy & you get the idea of how the state of the entire garden was in, all bald completely in two corners completely dead of life (even insects!) with bald patches everywhere now it’s in major need of a cutting which the included video will show (sorry about the sound quality).
Great product made a big difference to colour and health of my lawn. Lawn is approx 66m squared, and applying this with the watering can took a long time. I’ve bought the hose applicator and would advise anyone with a lawn over 20m to do the same – will save a lot of time!
It’s great that the product comes in 500g sealed bags so you can keep it dry until next use.
Was advised to buy this feed and it worked amazingly well. There are less than 2 weeks between the 2 pics and we have only used it once and have loads left. Would definitely recommend
I bought this as I have recently moved into a new build and the garden had been turfed. We’d let the grass grow pretty long but when it came to cutting it we noticed it was quite patchy. Having read the reviews, we went with this product. You get lots of it and we used only a couple of scoops so have plenty left. We were away for 5 days and when we came back we were amazed at how much the grass had grown, the patches aren’t anywhere near as noticeable and the grass is so green! We are probably going to do it again just to make the patches blend in more but very very impressed!
The garden isn’t the biggest, so it’s good to see that the feed is divided up into separate, sealed sachets so that I can use it next year as well to feed to garden.
When it came time to applying it, I soaked the grass the night before to get the soil wet, and then applied the feed the following morning.
At this low price, it’s a great way to improve the look and quality of the grass.
High in nitrogen so good to use on my lawn during Spring. In previous years have applied the solution by watering can (back breaking!) so recently purchased the hose feeder which makes the job a lot easier when it comes to feeding the lawn. Have used granules as an alternative but sometimes difficult to get an even spread.
My small lawn was absolutely ravaged from last years heatwave (and pesky foxes) – brown, weedy and nothing growing. My neighbour’s was the same.
I used this product every two weeks over June and July, using a slightly stronger concentration each time than the pack says (I also used weed killer on the first occasion beforehand and sprinkled some grass seed on a couple of small bare patches. Tried to keep it watered when there was no rain). Even after the first use I noticed a difference and I have now used it four times. The lawn is now thick, long, lush vivid green and verdant. Like a big green fluffy carpet. It’s so thick and long my mower struggled to go over it just now.
My neighbours lawn is still the same brown weedy barren patch that mine used to be.
A later footnote to my review; I dispense Lawn Food through the Miracle-Gro attachment at the end of my hose, when you’ve completed spraying the lawn you are left with a very weak solution in the reservoir, I then casually poured this onto the grass (just to empty the reservoir), it burns the grass so discard carefully. Only discovered that this was happening when I was trying to identify why I had burned grass areas and then realised what I had done!! Since then no problems. Hope this helps.
I moved to a new house last year, where the grass had been 4 foot tall and was mostly weeds. I worked on it all summer, however by the following spring although you could see a massive improvement it was a long way from being perfect.
Therefore I decided to invest in lawn food. I thought about getting the generic stuff out of the supermarket, however due to the size of the garden this was very expensive. Therefore I researched and decided to give this a try.
The box contains several small pouches of the product. Great idea, because you are unlikely to use the full tub in one sitting unless you have a cricket field! Stops the product going off as well.
Inside you get a measuring spoon to decant the product into your watering can. Tip – do not be tempted to use more of the product as this will burn the grass!
The front lawn was in much better nick than the back, therefore I applied the product once a month on the front, twice a month on the back. This gave thick luscious dark green grass which was the envy of the neighbours!
Like with any lawn product, do not apply in wet weather, or drought either as you will not see any difference in your lawn. Ideally you apply the day after rain, as long as the grass is reasonably dry. If it doesn’t rain on subsequent days, give it a light watering with the can.
Remember this is not a miracle cure (even though it’s in the name) as this is basically grass feed. If your lawn is poor it won’t make it wonderful overnight. My tip is ensure you keep on top of the scarifying, weed killing and grass cutting. If you do this and then apply this product, you will be amazed.
