Purchased for my adult son who’s been a Mario fan and gamer since about the age of 3!!
He loved it as so did I!!
Not a traditional game of Monopoly! Better!!
Has a family we have owned many different monopoly games over the years . My eight year old grandson asked for this for Xmas . He loves the game but the rules are complicated , to complicated for an eight year old . We had to adjust the rules for him , so I was played more in line with original monopoly rules .
Played a few times, great fun. Bonus is its a quick game and doesn’t drag on like the original versio
I have a lot of monopoly sets but this one for sure is the best and can be played the most again and again without being boring – Game also had an end so is quicker than normally monopoly but still a decent length game. Each character has different special abilities you can utilise on the board and every time someone passes go it starts a race with different prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd. You can also but an additional 8 other characters which all come with their own cards and special abilities to gameplay is always differe
Nice monopoly game. A-little bit complicated for kids but as my kids are obsessed with mario the had fun playing with i
The Game is great as I’ve played it before, this was a present for my Niece who loves Mario so imagine my surprise when she opens the undamaged Amazon Packing only to find the game box itself on the one side, top corner is crushed, pushed in and therefore not in pristine condition. That suggests the packer doesn’t care about the products he/she sends out to the buyer or Amazon have scant regard for customer satisfaction.
This is so much fun. Bought it during lockdown and played it with my 14 year old, 18 year old and his girlfriend and what a fun night we had!
This was a gift for my young son who luvs board games – monopoly being his favourite! He saw the Mario version and being a Mario fan then he was keen to have this version of monopoly……..is a nice change from the traditional board game.
Hi, I bought this game as the kids love monopoly. It’s not like the original at all. So don’t buy if you want to play monopoly the traditional way. This game is definitely aimed at kids. My 5 year old and 7 year old love it.
Only draw back is there are not enough 1 gold coins for a 4 player game. It would have been better if all of the coins were all one gold instead of being divided between 5 gold and 1 gold. Considering when players take a hit the only coins being placed on the board are 1, 2 or 3 gold I can’t see why the game makers included coins with a 5 gold value. There is no need for them and the one golds are used up far too quickly. It’s hard to explain if you haven’t played the game. But the best thing to do is to add some more counters to the game to use as 1 golds. The game is enjoyable but just needed more coins.
Monopoly – the least fair of all board games. One of the driest in subject matter too, perhaps it was more amusing in the 1930s.
Now you don’t need to just be lucky enough with the die roll to get properties early, you can trade, win, lose, race for them and they only count part of the way towards your points total which is how victory is calculated.
The add-on pieces are a rip-off (is no game sold as “complete” these days?) but we made our own and downloaded the cards from Board Game Geek.
A lot of fun for an occasional play.
Love it. Super lovely way of getting the kids to learn about money and numbers and great family game. Hours of fun guaranteed. My 6 year old loves it and so do I. Especially amazing if you are a Super Mario fan. Would definitely recommend.
This is an excellent game and well worth buying. A similar take on the standard Monopoly with the Mario twist. It takes a little getting used to the rules but once you do it’s great fun. A must for Monopoly and Mario fans
my son wil pick it up for long or short games, we just total the points when weve had enough, a bit expensive but worth it because hes getting good use out of i
Great game, great price, speedy delivery. I love playing Mario Kart on the Wii and Nintendo switch so stumbled across this monopoly game. And I love it. Although, I wish the money was made from plastic, not card board. Highly recommend anyway
I bought this for my son’s Mario loving friend. It’s fab, the little game pieces are adorable. The gift was very well received and my son begged me for one too so I’ve bought him one for Christmas.
I’ve since seen this in a couple of ships for 5-10 more than I paid on Amazon.
Really recommended to anyone who likes Mario or retro gaming!
Love this game and so glad i purchased it for my mario kart mad son. Some characters have more luck than others but makes it more fun and challenging. Recommend the product. You an also buy add on packs that emables you to have more players choices.
Christmas present for my Mario mad son. It is an interesting take on monopoly, the rules take a bit of getting used to but it is an enjoyable game and brilliant for Mario Kart fans.
Great game especially if you enjoy playing Mario Kart. Was a bit confusing to start with but you soon get used to it. Myself and the kids (7&9) all enjoy playing.
It’s got 4 stars because you get less content in the game than the original monopoly for more money, I guess it is because of it having the characters. The game is fun, like most monopoly games. It’s a bit different with coins and can get repetitive but if only playing once or twice here and there a good laugh.
This was an xmas gift for my son and he loves it.
It’s so different to the original game and I like the way you have races using the dice to decide 1st 2nd 3rd etc.
It’s a great fun family game that will keep you entertained for hours.
We play this quite a bit as a family and it’s great fun, taking lots of elements of Mario Kart and incorporating them into a shorter version of Monopoly. I’ve taken one star off because it’s quite involved at first and it takes a fair bit of getting used to. For the first 20 minutes it was hard – but if you persevere there’s a good game here. Remember it’s about the points not the money! Sometimes the eventual winner is a surprise because the race cards can be worth so many points. Worth every penny.
The game it’s self is pretty much the very same as the other mario monopoly. We thought it would be at least a little different but not really so found it boring. Seller and condition though were totally brilliant.
Brilliant game, replicated the console game. It looks very busy, but after a couple of games you get to grips with the rules. You have handy reminder cards to refer to as you go. Thoroughly enjoyable.
