Salt lamps by their very nature vary a lot on how they look, they are a natural product not made on a production line so some look better than others. Salt absorbs moisture hence you need to leave these lamps on everyday for a few hours at least as the heat from the bulb dries the salt out otherwise it will flake and appear to ‘leak’. I’m pleased with mine, it was well packaged and gives a nice warm glow which is what I like about them and is especially good now the dark evenings are here. I have it on every day, late afternoon onwards until I go to bed so no ‘leaking’ occurs.

Great size salt lamp and looks beautiful switched on – gives a lovely, cosy glow! Very easy to fit the bulb and turn on. Looks beautiful on my fireplace, love it!

adds a really nice cozy feel to a room. Mine doesn’t leak which i was thankful for after hearing that they can.
The bulb in it lasted for about 8 months before buying a new one so pretty good considering it was on all the time and its a tiny bulb 🙂

This salt lamp is amazing, it gives my room the vibe I was going for so I’m really happy with it. It appears to be real and the light bulb is nice and bright so it lit up my room nicely. I’ve kept it on 24/7 since I received it and I’ve had no issues 🙂 setting it up was easy and simple.

My wife wanted a soft light and liked the salt lamp look. So I’m that regard, it is a good product that is rock salt, fits a small bulb, and works.

The wood base is made of lower quality wood, so if that matters to you, or if it’s going to be a major part of your dcor where the base will be seen up close, then it may not be the best option.

I absolutely love this lamp. It is very unique and the light is bright and warm.
I only gave it 4 stars as I bought it specially for my autistic son who struggles with bright lights, so I wish there was a way to dim/adjust the brightness. Also, it is packaged safely but in my opinion, not giftable, as it is just a plain cardboard box. Unless you are good at crafts and find a way to gift wrap it….

Now! I understand why these lamps are so popular. I have had a lava lamp in the Games Room for a couple of years. Unfortunately, I knocked the ‘lava’ section of the lamp over while dusting and it was never the same again. The Rock Salt Lamp is actually better than the lava lamp, because it looks pretty with, or without the light on. With the light off, it is this lovely kind of frosty pink colour. With the light on, it turns into this lovely warm-orange and gives off a subtle room-filling light. I understand now why people use these as night lights in bedrooms, as they give off a very relaxing glow. I use the lamp as background illumination while the lights are off and the projector is running, if you want to use the lamp as a night light, you might be better off getting one with a dimmer switch. I am just glad I bought the smallest lamp (1-2Kg), because the rock I received is still quite big. It is also nice to know that they are all unique. One thing I learnt though, is that a search for replacement bulbs often brings up the heat resistant bulbs you find in ovens. But there are ‘proper’ salt lamp bulbs that have a slight deliberate tint to the bulb glass. These ones work the best.
