Had the 3M sticker version which came with my 320XR however during the warm weather it just started to peel off.
The suction mount (non gps version) was easy to install and works fine with the 320XR even if it wasn’t listed in the compatibility list.
When the sat nav suction cap failed to work I had fears only a new camera would put this right. The combination of the Amazon and a company advertising a choice of suction cap or a more permanent option, coupled with a speedy service- excellent result.
I have a fantastic nextbase dashcam but it’s a bit heavier than others and the 3M stickers it came with for securing to the windscreen didn’t last longer than a few weeks before it peeled away. I first tried getting a pack of 3M stickers and re-securing but eventually they also would peel away. Finally gave in to this – a bit pricey for what it is I think but it does the job and hopefully will last. Besides, it only needs to cover one accident and it will all pay for itself.
Perfect replacement piece. Handy that there is also a charger port in the connector as the USB charger lead fits better from that rather than the top of the camera. All in all, a very good priced piece of kit with 2 options of either 3m sticky back (with spare sticker) or the suction cup.
Preferred this to the stick on mount as the suction cup and be easily moved around the screen to find the ideal location – have the wireless rear view plug in camera. Fell off a couple of times, but probably me siting it wrong. OK since. Would recommend
I just needed the suction mount which so far is working great. However, I’m sure the powered mont will come in handy in the future & the price for the whole kit was very reasonable
This suction cup attachment is perfect really firm attachment & camera is securely held in position.
Why I didn’t use this previously was because original camera was fitted for me by Halfords & the guy didn’t mention there were two attachment types!! I am older & wiser now!!!!!!
Good product. Glad i found a replacement. The suction cup lasts a while but DOES occasionally fall off. Recently ive had some success with it staying on. Make sure your window is BOTH clean and grease free a lot of cleaners leave residue. It will still lose suction i’m just saying 🙂
Had to buy this to go with the 122HD dashcam I had previously purchased as NextBase got cheap and decided not to put the suction fixing in with their dashcams. The package has the suction mount with is useful for moving the device from one vehicle to another without leaving the sticky pad mount in the last vehicle, and it also comes with another sticky mount, and another sticky pad. So you get a lot in the box, but if it’s just the suction mount you want it seems a little excessive. The suction fixing works well but is a little awkward to fit with the suction lever being so small and the windscreen being at an angle. I would have preferred paying a little extra to have the suction mounting come with the camera, or just the suction mount as an add-on.
