Was searching for TT balls, and saw these mentioned at alot of places. They’re great. Good bounce, good to feel and decent quality. Slightly visible seam, but thats just how nittaku produces these.
From my years of playing league matches, these are one of the very best brands you can get.
As promise the brands Sais already everything they know exactly what they do and how to do to get the expected performance durable and resistance.
These balls are very good and heavy just the way I like them. It fits the style of play that I like
Bought as part of a Christmas gift for my nephew. It was well received. My nephew plays for an amateur and now University team. This ball was recommended some years ago.
THESE BALLS MAKE MY WIFE AND I BETTER TABLE TENNIS PLAYERS, WITH LONGER RALLIES AND MORE ACCURACY.
Reasonably priced, durable, and enjoyable to play with. No complaints!
Please stop dealing with Putin’s Russia. He is the new hitle
Purchased 5 months ago together with two more brands – the three-star Butterfly G40+ and a one-star nameless Artengo (for playing against folks who seem overly aggressive with the poor balls and the rest of our furniture). You can definitely feel the difference in play: though a bit slower than the Butterfly, they allow for better control (which works perfectly with our indoor midi table) and very long and intense points. As to why that is, comparing the surfaces makes it obvious – the Butterfly balls are far more smooth and shiny. Nevertheless, Nittaku feel better.
Good no issues but unsure if they are worth the premium price compared to say Joola training balls. We are no pros though.
I also have no idea why some clubs now view seamless balls as ‘not very good’….the current ‘on-trend’ club ball seams to be the Xushaofa 40+ (December 2018). As I alluded to earlier, this ball is made by the makers of the KINGNIK ball (Shanghai Minkow Co., Ltd); the latter being every bit as good and generally cheaper than the Xushaofa (if you can find them).
These are the best three star balls.
They bounce better.
They keep better control of the movement and spin.
I would even say that they are much better than any other three star ball.
The best ping pong balls I’ve used so far. You can smash it with any side of the bat, it doesn’t matter, this ball keeps bouncing like nothing happened.
Initially, I’ve had the impression that I had paid a bit too much for these. Seeing how some other friends keep ordering new packs of cheaper balls, I have no regrets now though 🙂
Best balls I’ve played with. A colleague and I play for at least an hour a day at work, I ordered them at the end of last year and only now are we on to our last ball of the pack – absolute durability. I was reassured by the other positive reviews, because I did wonder if 7 was a touch pricy. Turns out to be excellent value – wont hesitate to buy these again.
I don’t know table tennis but I know quality when I see and feel it. These are quality with a great bounce. Perfect for my physics experiment and I’d say perfect for the game too.
These make a nice sound when they bounce… they are stronger and have better structure than the cheaper Chinese balls
Well worth the extra price… they bounce better !
I’m not a pro… and even I can tell the difference
I really like these balls. Having played with the ones at work i’ve realised that my accuracy is drastically reduced with them, despite being three starts. Having played with these I can now say they are by far my favourite. They spin, are very accurate and land where you want them to land. I’d have no hesitation in recommending them any day. They are made in Japan, which is reflected in the price.
Has a nice texture which adds additional grip when hit against the bat for greater spin potential, while weighted enough for a balanced bounce and sound pitch that is pleasing to the ear at a higher pitch.
For newcomers, intermediates and date I say professionals, you’ll find a lot to enjoy here. I started with a set of 3 to see how i found the quality. I’m now ready to buy a pack of 6!
Hope this helps with your decision. Quality definitely is better than quantity.

Tabletennis ball quality in the 40+ sizes is getting worse.
This ball though with its long lasting condition, with a good bounce & heavy feel is perfect. I love this ball.
Better than the stiga optimum 40+ which is the league ball for my club.
A bit expensive but worth it for a more durable ball.
I like them.
Sadly, 1 ball arrived with several dents in it, 2 were good.
Now for the surprising part: no one at my local club wants to practice with the balls. Everyone claims that they are too heavy and bounce poor. This is not true! I checked on precision scales – exactly the same weight as celluloid balls 2.8g, the bounce is IDENTICAL.
The actual difference is the sound pitch which also may also be a bit louder.
Still, I can only use them to practice my serve on my own. No one wants to play them…
Back in 2011 the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) decided that they were to promote the usage of non-celluloid (plastic, poly) balls. The main reasoning behind this was the dangerous manufacturing process undertaken to produce celluloid balls. From the 2014 / 15 season all major events would introduce the usage of these new poly 40+ balls.
One of the major problems with the new plastic / poly balls was that they could potentially be produced to be slightly larger (up to 0.5mm) than a standard 40mm celluloid ball. This is where the 40+ comes into play. It took manufactures a long time to get up to scratch with producing high quality 40+ balls.
The first batch of Nittaku 40+ balls weren’t that great. Nittaku really failed to get the balance right which I was very surprised by from this famous TT ball brand. This 40+ Premium ball by Nittaku is a huge improvement and by far the most stable and consistent I’ve used to date.
