To be fair, description does say 1A ports. I like tower as allows multiple adaptor plugs without interference. But disappointed that at least one USB port not 2A. Has nice long thick electric cable.
I bought this multi-socket to stry and tidy all the computer leads and power cables that were taking over underneath the desk. Now I have all the power cables connected in one place, it’s easily accessible and still has space for a few more devices if needed.
Brilliant bit of kit. Does exactly what they promised and takes up little room behind my sofa. I needed extra for my chair, a heated cushion, alexa, several USBs, mini hoover, floor lamp – all sorts and nobody can see where it is all plugged in.
Quite a handy device not only does it have individual power switches it has a nice reach of cable and easy carry handle and so far after months of use no problems at all.
Construction is fine very easy to use does what it says on the box.
I really like the handle on this tower. It makes it easy to move around. I also like the small footprint. It feels sturdy but is lighter in weight than a previous tower I prefer the lighter weight. I love that the tower has surge protection and that it has 3 USB slots. I would have preffred that the USB slots had been ontop of or near the top of the tower rather than placed at the bottom. However, this is because I ten to use the tower on the floor so plugging in my phone to charge would be easier when leaning down to the tower if the USB slot was on top. However, I can see that if you use the tower on top of a desk that having the USB slots neat teh bottom of the tower would be preferable.
I always have lots of electronics on my desk I end up needing to use and the tower is really convenient. Only thing is, When using the usb portion of the tower, don’t use them all at the same time because one or two won’t work as well.
Sometimes one plug is not enough and you need a couple of extra plugs for phones or tablets
This is an incredibly useful power block, 12 plugs and 3 USB ports
It’s very good as a temporary solution to a lack of plugs, I would not like to have this as a permanent solutio
This extension tower is a very good size. Nice and compact, so it’s easy to move around our house or take with us when travelling. It’s even got a cute little handle at the top.
With 12 power sockets and 3 USB ports, this really does offer loads of power and serves our needs perfectly.
The 3 metre power cord is ideal for us as it gives us enough flexibility to be able to have the tower exactly where we want it in the living room.
I’m no electrician but I can tell the difference in the USB ports when I use them to charge my phone. With numerous items plugged in, the time it takes my phone to charge is a lot longer than it is when there are less items being powered.
The overall quality and feel of the whole unit is good.
Who doesn’t need more power sockets? Who doesn’t want surge protection? Who doesn’t need more charging points?
This is a great solution. Plenty of sockets, and has 3 USB ports too.
It has a small footprint, and low enough height. Perfect for sitting on a desk.
In fact, I had it sitting on the flor beside my desk and it was far LESS useful than the standard flat plugboard. This is because it left the USB ports right down at floor level – perhaps they should have been on the top? Also, it is harder to see and change plugs when it is sitting on the floor. BUT when you have it raised that’s where it comes into its own. USB ports are now accessible, and plugs are compactly together and it takes up a minimal amount of space, while producing maximum amount of utility.
Glad to see it comes with overload protection since that is the obvious danger with something like this. People down know that constitutes overload.
At this time, I am using this in the only corner of our living room that does not have a tower extension box, these are extremely useful to increase the amount of power outputs in a room and there are a lot of power solutions in this well made extension power brick, quite surprising considering its compact size and small form-factor. Looks surprisingly good as well, would be quite at home on a desk top as a power solution and certainly wouldn’t look out of place.
The USB ports fully work as expected and mean that no matter where someone is sat in our living room, they can now top up on charge to their mobiles and such.
I can fully recommend this…where power is needed this delivers in abundance.
Beware ! Tidy wires ! This lives beside my bed and all the devices that had to be plugged in fit in this and I still have empty sockets. I will purchase more for the rest of the house . Highly recommended
This is a fairly short tower-form extension lead that despite its height doesn’t feel crowded when the plugs are all in use — there’s sufficient spacing between each socket to easily add or remove plugs.
There is a generous 3 metre extension lead that can be coiled together with the included Velcro strap to keep everything tidy. The tower is stable due to its wider base and the small rubber feet to help it stop moving around unnecessarily. As usual it’s always good practise to have the heavier plugs on the bottom.
With the button at the top of the tower you can turn on/off all the sockets at once, and the 2 status lights at the top let you know the unit is working properly. The overload protection is a welcome feature and should be (but isn’t) included in all power extensions, but it’s always worth checking the power rating of the devices you plan to use with the tower.
This is a good power extension lead with plenty of sockets that can be used simultaneously without blocking each other. As long as you’re not planning to use heavy power devices (heaters etc) then this tower with a small footprint is a good choice. I couldn’t find any down points.
Very happy with this. Sits under my main office desk and has enough sockets to manage my every gadget (and there are lots) with room to spare. Looks tidy, seems good quality build.
This extension socket is great to have. Being shaped in a tower, it makes it easier to store and sit to one side. Furthermore it had an button on top to turn it on and off, which helps if it’s a socket that’s only being used intermittently, such as as a charging station
The length has been more than enough for me too and it’s been a great addition to my living room.
Solid and well made, this thing inspires confidence, and it needs to as it has a monstrous 12 socket capacity, plus 3 USB ports! I appreciated the carry handle as this is a great bit of kit to take on the go if you need to connect a couple of cameras and some set lighting for example, but it’s equally useful in the home.
It’s a bonus having the USB ports, but no USBC here meaning more adaptors required. A device like this should be including modern charging capability, however at the asking price I cannot judge too harshly.
I would have never previously in my life considering spending 27.99 on a multiplug socket (as this costs at time of review) but this is one of those cases where it has once again been proven to me that you get what you pay for, and cheapest is rarely the best. This extension cord .charging tower is, in fact, so good that I wonder why on earth this is not the standard design. It comes in the form of a tower so, whilst chunky, the footprint is only about 4in square. There is a moulded handle incorporated into the top and it’s lightweight so easy to move from room to room. Next to the handle there is a power button and lights to indicate that it is grounded and surge protected for your peace of mind. Then each of the 4 sides has 3 sockets, as well as 3 x USB sockets on the “front” side, allowing you to power up to 15 devices at the same time – as long as they don’t overload the maximum capacity of 3250W. There’s a reset button by the cord and nonslip feet on the (slightly flared for stability) base, and the lead for the tower is itself a generous 3m. The real genius though is that the way the sockets are placed, with 3 on each side, means that there is ample space between plugs rows of plugs, so even chunkier devices with adapters etc built into plugs have plenty of space. It’s even made from fire-retardant plastic. All in all, probably one of my favourite items I have received through Amazon’s Vine programme.
This is exactly what I needed. So many plugs and even with multiple devices it’s not struggled. The usb ports are great and makes an amazingly tidy package instead of having extension leads everywhere. Love it.
I do like its safety features and its design. The handle that is quite good for me to carry around(I can’t see other products have this handle). 12 outlets which more than enough for a work desk and 3 USB outlets available as well. With this price range I don’t have any complaint about it.
However, it just have a master switch instead of individual switch for each outlets or a switch for the each column of outlets. So please be noted and consider if you need a individual switch for each outlets.
It does have well made plastic on the main body, but just okay at the base(should be using different plastic, still good for me).
Overall, I will recommend it.
I read a lot of reviews before buying an extension board. I read reviews here before I started using it. Because I had to be sure if it’s as safe as it claims to be.
The surge protection and strong build quality makes it reliable . There are two indicators which show whether your plug is grounded and protected. I will give it a 4 star to begin with and see if it holds up well during the course of time and update my stars /review accordingly.
Very solid and smart looking unit. As with all multiple socket extension cables just because there are 12 sockets plus 3 USB ports doesn’t mean you can use them all at the same time if the wattage exceeds 3250w. The main cable lead is extremely thick and the LED lights are clear. It feels substantial and certainly very practical to use so I’m happy to recommend
Got this to use for the living room TV and everything else that needs plugging in with it.
Looks nice and tidy, and plenty of spare sockets if needed.
Working a treat and would recommend
12 UK plugs and 3 USB A devices can be plugged into this at any one time.
It has surge protection and an on/off switch and two indicator lights (one for incoming power and one for protection).
Cable is a really good length.
Using it in my kitchen and it is a lifesaver!
NVEESHOX Tower Extension Lead Surge Protection
A relative small tower extension Considering this can hold 12 plugs sockets the actual tower is as big as some tower extension on the market.
The 12 plugs socket do have enough room that could plug a slightly wider shaped plug and it wouldn’t interfere with the adjacent socket next to it.
The tower does feature 3 USB-A port on the bottom of the tower, with a lead of 3 meters so should be able to reach practically anywhere where you need it to be.
The top of the tower features a power on/off switch along with 2 LED’s a green and red for grounded and protection if there is a surge. there is also a reset button in case the circuit breaker is activated.
I would say you must keep a eye on what your plugging into the tower as there is a maximum watts and amps which is 13A and 2990W respectfully so not to overload the extension.
The 3 USB can total of 3.1A, each USB output can up to 2.4A Max.
Overall its a very good tower extension its smaller than i thought it would be for a 12 port design, 3 USB ports for portable gadgets, with a surge protector and good build quality.
I got this for our lounge as we have so many tech products that often need charging, mostly at the same time!
We have 2x DS, 3x psp, 1x switch, 2x laptops, 1x tablet! So you can see how we need the extra plug sockets!
It’s great having an led indicator on the top of the unit too and a reset button at the back of it.
Overall good quality for the money and highly recommended.
Hope this review was helpful, thanks for reading it.
First time use it told me something wasn’t grounded. I’m not an electrician so I’m going to have to look into that particular plug.
It’s got more plugs then you’ll ever need but it’s very helpful for those large odd shaped plugs, specially those old console plugs. I’ve got a little collection of old consoles so this is very helpful.
Nice one
A lot of people think that you can plug anything into extension leads but this is not the case.
This extension lead is rated at 3250w. Be careful when plugging in high energy devices, for instance a typical fan heater on max is around 2000W, so you’re already over half the extension lead limit with just that one device.
With a kettle using 2000W and a toaster using 1500W, both of them can potentially start a fire when used together at the same time from an Extension lead.
This extension lead seems solid enough and of good quality. It also has pads on the bottom to prevent scratches and slippage.
The tower has 12 plug sockets, and incorporates three USB sockets. It is a shame that a USB C socket is not included. My corner desk has many devices and the usual extension leads weren’t enough to plug them in. The 12 sockets are very convenient.
The length is great at 3m and I also appreciate the power switch. The extension lead seems to be a very good one, and I am happy with it. I love the tower design and it looks great.
I use a surge-protected device with multiple outlets in a flat design for my television, and the other equipment connected around it. However, I’ve noticed that many of these electrical products are now supplied with transformers built into their plugs which makes it more difficult to use the flat outlet as the plugs overlap and take a lot of space.
This tower design of outlet not only takes less floor space that my flat outlet but has the advantage that all of those big awkward plugs fit in easily, and without interfering with surrounding plugs. Also, because it has three USB outlets built into it I’ve been able to dispense with some plugs entirely and power those USB leads directly from this instead.
It is capable of supplying almost 3KW of power in total, including a total of 3.1A at 5V via the USB so it can easily handle most situations. It certainly has more than enough capacity for my TV and associated equipment. There is a single on/off button on the top rather than individual switches for the outlets, and a couple of LED indicators to confirm electrical grounding and surge protection. I like that there is a handle on the top to help move it around easily, and it works very well. I was also pleased to note that there isn’t any audible humming from the device unlike some others I have used which have USB outlets built into them.
The Nveeshox Power tower is manufactured from lightweight but extremely durable ABS plastic and fireproof material, the result is a product that boasts, not only 12 power sockets but also 3 USB ports to boot, quite impressive I’d say, especially since the overall dimensions of the product are relatively small. This upright power strip has an on-board off/on switch which controls the power to all twelve power sockets. There is also a 3 metre power cord giving you plenty of options regarding location of the device.
Before employing the power tower in your chosen location be careful to check what kind of power your devices will be collectively drawing at any given time as its maximum safety ratings are 32500W at a rated current of 13 Amps. On top of the unit adjacent to the on/off power switch you will find two LED lamps. These indicate the grounding, which is the green lamp and red for the overload indicator. The unit has surge protection and will automatically shut down if the tower is overloaded for any reason.
My initial plans for the upright power strip is to locate it under my PC desk with the 3 USB ports directly facing me as from this position, I will have easy access to the power sources of the printer, speakers, dual monitors, dual PC’s and more besides.
I find having the USB ports in close proximity extremely handy as both my present mouse and keyboard are rechargeable by USB power outlet and of course my kindle, smartphone and a plethora of other devices can be charged without me having to move from my desk. Although once located I intend to have to unit permanently in position, but as the tower has a sturdy carry handle moulded into the case and its footprint is relatively small, this means it can be easily transported.
In summary, I’m absolutely delighted with the Nveeshox Power tower. It not only looks great but has many built in features keeping your safety foremost. With a retail price just a penny shy of 29 quid for a 12 socket power strip with 3 USB ports and a 3 metre power cord, this is good value for money and I would recommend it.
I bought this for my son’s college dorm
room. He is using again this year. I bought one for myself now that I am working from home. I have recommended to friends for their college kids. Great purchase and still working one year +
I’ve had this unit for a long time, finally got a new end table that met the purpose for this multi-outlet port. 9 AC outlets and 4 USB ports all in an 8 inch tall mini-tower. All 9 AC outlets are turned horizontally to cut down on height.
The only disadvantage I see is that it’s too easy to accidentally touch the main power button on top and turn the entire unit off.
I definitely enjoy this extension cord. only reason it has a 4 is because with certain things plugged in I cant plug in other things. Other than that it is great, doesn’t get in the way.
WORD OF WARNING!!! Watch the top of the extension cord when plugging in other things, if you accidently push the button on top, Everything connected will shut off immediately.
I needed a small tower surge protector/usb charger for my bedside table. It is small enough that it doesn’t cut into valuable real estate, yet has enough outlets to handle all my needs. I had a strip before with no USB charging ports so all the outlets were used for charging cubes. The tower is heavy enough to be sturdy when items are plugged into it. Showed it to several people. They were impressed as well. I am already planning where to put my next one! 🙂
It seems counter-intuitive to put the power strip on the top of my desk to declutter. But this works so well! I got two of them, one for either end of the desk. Cords snake along the wall from the power strip to where they drop off the end of the desk. No more wires and cords everywhere. My only beef is that the plugs are not spaced far enough apart. So many power cords have ridiculously large plugs — you listening to me Amazon Alexas? — and there’s not enough room to plug one next to the other. But there’s still lots of room for the plugs I need.
