My 4yo son loves buses and numbers, so this is the perfect game for him. The concept is simple to understand but the actual steps of the game are challenging enough. Fun and educational!!
Lovely fun counting game for kids. Me and my 4 year old loved it. I think all the orchard toy games are really good and educational. Would recommend the shopping trolley game too.
My 4 year old granddaughter loves playing board games so bought this as a change for her.
This is a really good game, well made and very durable.
There are a lot of different skills involved, counting, taking turns and motor skills. The whole family love playing and I think she will still love it as she gets olde
We loved the game because it is really simple. But god it can take forever so we developed a shorter version which is to choose the number of times the bus goes aroud the board and whoever has the most passengers is the winner.
As with all Orchard games it is a simple to learn game that challenges different ages of children in various ways ,a plus point when the grandchildren want to play together.Well thought out and compact to store ,no huge box filled with very little,I see this becoming another family favorite!
My 3 year old son has always loved buses so this game is a hit. It’s great for helping him add and subtract as you go around adding and removing passengers on the bus.
Another great game from orchard to add to the collectio
Bought for my 3 year olds birthday, didn’t take him long to get the jist of the game, obviously still needs some little clues but a nice little game to play with my two sons
This is a great quality game, easy to learn how to play and so good for helping a child practice addition and subtraction. The board and elements are well made.
Great game. My twins are 4 years old and it was perfect for their age group. Helps them to learn the plus and minus signs and teaches them the concept of adding and subtracting. It takes a bit long to move your bus around the full board so at times my kids were losing concentration, but apart from that it’s a great game. My sons loved the different bus characters and also played with them separately
Fab product, bought for my 4 year old for Christmas, we love all these type of games think this may be one of his favorite out of many. Was delivered on time.
One of the longer played length games we have from Orchard (about 5-10 minutes per game) but really easy to pick up and play. Grab your bus, roll the dice and move around the board trying to pick up passengers. Watch out though, those pesky passengers sometimes want to get off. Great fun with the kids.
Orchard toy games are absolutely brilliant! We have loads and the kids love to grab one out every day to have a play – you can play quick or long game versions depending on how long you have and always keep my sons attention with their bright colours and interesting plots. Son is very happy to add the bus stop to his collection – keeps him and his brother entertained!
i love all the orchard toys games. My grandson has a lot of these games between his house and mine. It is a good simple game and he loves playing with it. He loves being involved with all the family joining in and the games, like this one are educational aswell.
would recommend everyone with little ones buy some orchard toys games.
Again a bit was missing part that holds wee bus cards in ….diff cours…but didn’t affect us playing the game….too small a part to send back for & too much hassle
he children at our club love his game, especially the different characters – look out for father Christmas! some children with a very low attention span struggle to complete the game even though they’ve enjoyed it up to the point they’ve left.
Really fun game for younger kids , my son is 6 and loves it , you can make it more difficult by using maths which is a great feature and it’s not over complicated for younger children to enjoy too . Also not a really long drawn out game that wears us parents down ! You know what I mean people !
Good game for young and slightly older children. Played it lots of times with children from 3 to 10 and they could all play and enjoy it. Don’t know who will win right until the end as fortunes change all the time.
Love these orchard board games so much! There’s nothing better than a nice traditional board game to play with your little ones, lots of fun! Getting quite the collection of orchard games now as they are just great quality and guaranteed to be a a winner for any young child.
Would make great gift, would recommend.
I bought this for my niece and her sister and brother love it too. After playing it with them a few times they are now happy to play it without me. Great game as the 7 and 6 year old do the sums while the 3 year old likes to count the passengers. Everyone happy while learning. I would say it’s a bit too easy for the 7yo but he likes it and it reinforces the basics.
My 5 year old nephew is bus mad, seriously ! He is also at the age now where maths is an area that he is gradually learning more and more so whilst the educational element of adding and subtracting is at the heart of this game, the bus theme adds an extra element of enjoyment for him.
The board slots together easily, there are four pieces. Up to four players can play, choosing a bus card with the designated bus piece. Roll the dice and depending on whether you land on a “plus” or “minus” square you then spin the arrow and whichever number it lands on you then add or subtract that amount of passengers from your bus.
Very simple, straightforward fun !
This game has been bought for every new generation in our family and everyone loves playing it! Someone on the bus will look like someone in your family, which adds another dimension to the fun, and like all Orchard games it is fun, great value and has some skills to learn and improve on as you go.
A board game of addition and subtraction for up to four players. You travel around the board with your bus, picking up and dropping off passengers, according to the number on the dice and whether you land on a + or a – symbol. My 4 year old and 2 year old love playing this game – almost every day for a month now! It is really helping my 2 year old with his numbers as well, as we count people on and off the bus, which is great. It says it is for ages 4+ but I think it is quite easy for a 4 year old and would suit younger children. The only downside to the game is that I think the game lasts a little too long – the children often get distracted before the end – it might be better if the number of spaces on the board was reduced by around 20-30% to give a shorter, sweeter game and encourage replay. But overall, I can only recommend this educational game for young children.
This is another fun game from Orchard Toys whose games are always intelligent and colourful. Personally I didn’t enjoy it as much as Dinosaur Race or Go Go Dragons but that’s only a personal view.
Our three year old grandson loves it. The game works with two dice. One moves a bus around the playboard whilst the other decides the number of passengers either getting on or off the bus. The idea is to get your bus to the garage with as many passengers on board as possible. The winner is the bus with the most on when everyone is back in the garage. So it’s not a first past the post game. You could finish first but then have to wait for other players to finish. That way it keeps the fun and tension going to the last throw of the dice.
This is suitable for any children over about the age of three and helps them with both co-ordination and counting skills.
My expectations for Orchard Toys were probably raised too high by all the excellent reviews but, while their games are good, they’re not as exciting & inspiring as I expected. This is one of the best as it is helping my 3 year old with her addition & subtraction skills. To be fair, she loves all their games, it’s just her highly demanding mummy who was expecting more! One real drawback is that it is quite difficult to slot the buses into their stands and my daughter loves pulling them out so I quickly got fed up of putting them back in!
My bus obsessed daughter wanted this for her third birthday. She likes the bus shaped cards, along with putting on and taking off the people. It’s a little old for her, but I’ve been able to modify the game play slightly for her to enjoy it. It’s a nice way to introduce the concepts of addition and subtraction in a fun way. The only part of this game I find a bit odd is the game board itself. It’s a series of pieces you put together like a puzzle. While it’s an interesting idea (and certainly fun for some children), I like being able to unfold a board a go. It’s a small concern that takes nothing away from the play value of this game. I’m looking forward to giving more of Orchard Toys’ games a try.
Fun for all ages. You take turns going around the board, getting passengers on and off, and the person who wins isn’t the first one back, its the one back with the more passengers. Great for math skills, adding and subtracting. It can be a little confusing to play, you throw two dice, one for your move and the other for the amount of passengers on or off. Alot to think about in each go, can frustrate a young player. Thats why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars.
Great fun. Attractive and robust like all Orchard toys. My only complaint is that the buses are going the wrong way compared to the board:- an irritating design slip. The game needs experimenting with different rules but there is loads to talk about as you play. Plus and minus become second nature. You can start with two buses if you are playng with one other person, to give more scope. As with any dice game you can have a long run with an empty or a full bus, but our three year old plays it very eagerly and accepts the slack spells.
This is a fun game once you’d got your littlie to understand that it is okay to loose some passengers off the bus! Game can last some time, so, you need to be able to stick with it. Make it fun by making up stories about people getting off to go to the park etc. Good game for getting your wee one used to numbers and small sums.
