Amazing for figures. Not brittle or too flex just spot o
it can tangle quite frequently on fresh reels added straight from the packaging but if you’re lucky to get a good reel everything should run smoothly. you can print immediately from the package, this product is packed with a desiccant which aids with keeping moisture out of the printing process.
Grey Easy PLA – Well packaged, cardboard spool to recycle. The filament seems to be ok quality and prints nicely on my Ender 3 Pro with no adhesion problems other than those caused by the printer itself.
Seems to be well wound with no tangling issues often prevalent in other filaments. Overall a good PLA and one I will probaly purchase again.
Looks the part! Printed a golden picture frame with it and was happy with the result.
Love the colour choices, no problems during printing after the initial filament profile.
I bought a lot of them…only one was a bit brittle and was breaking easily. After drying it for few hours prints fine.
Was a little sceptical buying based on reviews about tangled and bad quality. No tangles and prints like butter. Re printed my printer mods at 0.2mm would buy again.
The overture “Royal Gold” PLA is a really dark, slightly shiny.
On flat surfaces it catches the light quite nicely, but on round or curved prints, it looks quite dull unless it’s directly under bright light.
It prints well enough, smooth, no bubbles or spitting from the hot end and I’m 1/3 or the way through a 1KG roll with no clogs.
The reel is cardboard, and it doesn’t smoothly roll on the standard ender 3 spool holder, the cardboard wants to grip, so the reel gets tight against the extruder, but this was easily fixed by printing a round insert.
It’s reasonably cheap as filaments go, but I’ve found that it _really_ like to warp and shrink on the first few layers
I printed with the bed at 55C, and the hotend at 195, printing with a 2 layer raft and this seemed to fix my problems of warping.
Even at high temps 215+ its still quite matte. Saying that tho’ I can recommend their filament for print quality and no stringing even at the higher temp.
Most of the filament I own is from overture and is a dream to print with, not had any issues with any of their pla filaments. Stringing only on hight batch print runs but I think this is due to my retraction settings. Colour is amazing and bold
I like it at first it did not glow but after a couple of day it start to and now looks lovely
Just used standard PLA settings on my Ender 5 plus and adjusted nozzle temp and build plate temp in the middle of the suggested ranges. No failure, perfect first time.
PROs: Low cost, cardboard spool, excellent finish
CONs: None found
Bought this filament in matt pink and matt blue to print moneyboxes for the grandkids. I was a little cautious because of the low price for 1kg but after good results went on to buy more Overture colours and I’m just as impressed with those. The matt colours are a good low-sheen finish and the silk provides a wonderful shiny print.
Don’t be put off by the price tag – this filament worked well for me and consistently through the reel and across different reels.
The pictures are of the matt pink, matt light blue and silk blue filaments.
Have nothing but positives to say about this product.
If you have bought and its not working for you… check your settings.
Download the Luke Hatfield Cura settings and print to your hearts content.
This is out of the 3 brands I have tried the best so far (Overture, Sunlu, Reprapper) my go to for all kinds of projects
Running on an Ender 3
Bought this and the red version to make an iron man helmet that didnt need paint and im not disappointed although the red is slightly more pink than red its close enough when paired with the gold
Things to note
I printed at 200 degrees with 0.2mm layer height and 50 degree bed temperature i added hot glue to the brim to make sure it didnt move over the 50 hour print time
