After having traditional lanterns in my garden which would collect leaves, spiders and rainwater I decided to try these and I was surprisingly impressed. As mentioned in other reviews, the colour is a little gold but once they are placed out in the garden they blend in and are not glitzy or cheap looking.
I love the gentle, calming light that they give off and after friends have seen them, some have even gone on to purchase them themselves.

Very pleased with the two lights I bought. Well made, bright and good solar performance. Was about to buy three more then saw the price had increased by 40%. Four times the rate of inflation! So sadly won’t be ordering any more unless the price goes back down.

I’ve bought four and will be buying more. I was very impressed with the professional and careful packaging alone, it can give you a clue as to the quality of a product and it certainly did. The lanterns are just beautiful, light but sturdy, exactly as pictured. As soon as I clicked to on, and put my hand over the solar bar, a beautiful warm flickering glow commenced. They are a real head turner at night, adding extra magic to my cottage garden. I surprised my my son by putting two in his room and he wondered why I’d left candles burning unattended! They are that realistic. Can’t recommend highly enough, the value is outstanding! I was willing to pay 20+ for each as that seemed to be the going rate for others I’d viewed, yet none are as lovely!

My wife is very pleased with these. Even at this time of year they charged enough during the day to stay lit all through the night. Sadly after just a couple of weeks I had an issue with one of these, but their customer service reached out and offered a replacement free of charge. I think this represents exceptional service, and have no hesitation in recommending them

Chinese batteries are useless for UK winter recharging during daylight hours – replaced with Duracell rechargeable batteries and they work just fine. Overall, my wife is very pleased with them, that’s what counts!

I have never had a solar powered light in my garden before but I liked the look of this one. It is taller than I expected about which I am happy.

Only down side was that there were no instructions and the lantern was set to ON. I thought that this would have drained the battery so I turned it to OFF and left it in the sun. In the evening I turned it to ON but no light came on that night. So I left it ON and the next night it did come on for a short while even though it had been over cast all day. The next day it was sunny all day and the light came on around 4 in the afternoon and was on for nearly 5 hours. If it continues like this I will be very happy.

They look amazing in garden in summer , full charge on a sunny day would give about 8 to 9 hours of output , we used ours for about 4 to 5 months non-stop and Now for winter we put them away in garage , hopefully next summer they be still working when recharged . Fingers crossed

The lanterns look good when they are working…….one of the four stopped lighting up at all so I checked the battery and solar panel and it did start to light up again but stopped all together shortly after. So we now have 3 lanterns that work…..not great after only a few months.

UPDATE:

Following my review above, the company contacted me and offered to send a replacement for the faulty lantern. So I am very impressed with the customer service! Thanks

These are lovely lanterns but be warned the colour on the main photograph is not the true colour of the lanterns, they are more a greeny gold than what I thought to be a copper bronze. Hence the 4 stats and not 5. My first instinct was to return them, however when I placed them in the garden on wooden sleepers I found that their colour looked lovely with the planting around them. They are definitely good value for money and look gorgeous when lit up at night. If the photo had been a more accurate representatiom of the colour I might not have bought them but I’m glad I did.

They are not the colour in the pictures. They are a gold/yellow colour as shown in other people’s photos – so that was a bit disappointing. But, they work so well – better than any other solar light I’ve had, and they are so beautiful to watch at night.

I would recommend, just be advised they may not be the colour shown.

Bought to replace some battery operated operated ones that did what Xmas lights do – mysteriously died having been packed away working perfectly fine. These are a huge improvement and haven’t been relegated to the Xmas box – they’re now a permanent feature either side of the front door – at least until the hanging baskets go up. Lovely warm flickering light – not obtrusive but enough to bring a bit of cheer to a chilly winter evening. They charge well and generally last until most people are tucked up. With all the frost, snow, wind and rain we’ve had, they’ve been put through their outdoor paces and are still going strong.

Having bought these lanterns and used them for some time now I would like to share with you some interesting details. The top of candle does not flicker like a real candle but does look OK from a distance. The whole candle flickers and is not very bright. But looks warm and inviting.
During winter months the rechargeable battery inside the lantern does not get enough sunlight here in the UK to fully recharge the battery, which means that the lanterns will not last 6 to 8 hours as stated, but the company say they are looking into this issue. The lanterns are made of plastic so will last a long time without corrosion and rusting.
Customer services are very helpful and informative should you have any issues with these lanterns.

These are the brightest and longest lasting I’ve tried (I’ve tried a lot). I get approx 4hrs from them per night after charging on a short overcast day. Do bear in mind however that while I say they’re bright they’re still only accent lights. Only criticism is that the grained dull gold paint effect isn’t ideal. I’ve been sceptical about solar items like this for years – I suspect modern PV cells are more dense and efficient at low cost. Perhaps it’s an offshoot of advances in microprocessor miniaturisation.
