This is a fantastic game!
Got it for my 3y/o daughter and she absolutely loves it, and so do the rest of us! Our 7 y/o likes playing it, as did her school friend, and us adults enjoy it as well.
I really love that you have to work together, it’s a great aspect of the game and quite unique. We’ve lost more times than we’ve won, but it’s still great fun, and just makes you want to play again!
Great quality, and plastic free, which is brilliant.
Highly recommended!
This is a Christmas present for my grandson but unfortunately we haven’t had chance to give it to him yet due to restrictions. Looking forward to playing it with him soon.
Age Appropriate, teaches turn-taking, simple enough for a 3 year old child. My great nephew who is 38.5 months was able to learn which cards to move such as the sun or the coloured cards.
The aim of the game is to get all the baby owls into the nest before the sun comes up, by moving them along the coloured circles. You all say ‘Twit twoo’ if one of the owls leapfrogs over another owl, which the kids love doing, so it encourages them to play strategically.
The game board is beautiful, and the idea is fun. I’m not that impressed with the quality of the colour cards though- they are normal cardboard and are going to get damaged quite quickly. I understand that the company are trying to be eco friendly and avoid plastic, but frankly that needs to be reflected in the price. Either a cheaper game with cardboard tokens, or a more expensive game with wooden tokens in a drawstring bag.
Delightful game where you work together to get the owls into the nest before the sun comes up. Ideal when playing with competitive grandchildren as no one wins but it teaches collaborative play
I would definitely recommend Hoot Owl Hoot as an easy to understand board game for 5 to 6 year olds. Bought it for my twin grandchildren because it is co-operative rather than competitive. Everyone works together to achieve the aim of the game. A good lesson in life!
Wonderful cooperative game for children. Have played with a four year old up to 12 years. Difficulty can be increased by adding all the owls or reduce by decreasing the number used.
Can’t recommend highly enough

My Grandkids absolutely love this game. It really helps them bond as a group. They all work as a Team and support each other. Played several times as well. The skill required to create such a fun and co-operative game for young children is amazing. Really brilliant games franchise. Credit to Peaceable Kingdom. Please keep making these types of games
We love this game. The board is beautiful; we love the teamwork nature of it and we enjoy playing it together as a family. I love that the winning is about working together to win; cultivating a collaborative mindset. Fu
Our 4yr old great granddaughter loved playing this although a tad easy for her. Fortunately she has a passion for owls.
I think it’s probably more suited to perhaps a 3 yr old. Very good quality and made with
earth friendly materials. Well worth the money
Great way to introduce the abstract concepts involved in board games, as well as turn-taking and so on. Love that we are all in it together, working as a team.
Absolutely love this game. Beautiful design, easy to play. My three year old picked it up so quickly and loves it. My five year old loves it and so do I. Highly recommended.
A must buy if you love board games and having fun with your kids.
Great family game, my neices love it to pieces.
It’s a non-competitve game so there are no individual winners and losers. You work collaboratively and either all win or all lose.
If you play with no strategy (as the youngest children might), the beginning set-up with four owls gives you even odds of winning. As you develop tactics and learn to play as a team, then the difficultly can be increased by starting with more owls.
It is robustly made and seems to be durable. The design is colourful and attractive.
