Feeding Tips

  • With food resources scarcer now, it is essential to feed garden birds all year round
  • Once you have started to feed the birds it is important to continue this, and develop a routine, as the birds will become reliant upon your help
  • Provide food throughout the whole year especially during breeding, nesting and fledgling periods
  • Locate feeders stations near cover so that they’re easily accessible, but not too close if there is a risk of predators

Perfect for smaller birds, and for keeping the mecium to large bird out, and from stealing all the food, i may buy a few more later in the year.

I was not sure how the birds would like this product but I was very happy to see how much they used it. In fact I have to fill it more 8ften than my other feeders.

Keeps larger pigeons from accessing food. Little birds hopp in and out safely. Just bought another. Free flowing seed where others get bunged up.

Ideal feeder for small birds, they often go in one opening and out another. Larger birds find it difficult to feed from it. Now that the feeder has been discovered there is constant activity. There is very little mess and the seed stays dry. I would definitely recommend it.

At long last, a bird feeder for small birds. Been looking for years for a feeder the starlings couldn’t I empty in minutes. They haven’t found a way yet so here’s hoping they won’t.

I have had no problem with my small birds using it. My Robin absolutely loves this feeder and so do the tits and goldfinch. The sparrows don’t like it but it wasn’t purchased for them but purposely for the smaller birds and to stop excess seeds from spilling over to cut down overspill and squirrel interference and reducing the number of hungry pigeons. I’m extremely delighted with this product, great quality and fantastic value for money and easy to clean and fill up with no worries.

Have used for seed and suet pellets, great for the smaller birds who can get bullied off the geese by the pigeon. Lost a mark just cos it’s fiddly to take apart and put back together when cleaning.

Easy to fill, but birds can’t get on easily, so have wedged a stick across two holes so they can sit on stick. Seeds get a bit wet in rain.

The birds love this feeder once they work out how to get in it. We attached a couple of thin sticks through the holes to make perches for them and now we have lots of small birds in and out all day

Look good hanging up, easy access for the smaller birds to get the the food, can have a few days before it needs refilling and I like the loop to hang it with as the last feeder we had had a hook not a loop which in blustery winds if it swung far enough it would eventually fall off the bracket we had it on so after 2 times doing it finally cracked and broke, so this feeder is ideal one to replace our lot feeder and we are looking forward to seeing birds using their new feeder really soon. It’s a practical size and I like that it keeps the food dry too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good feede

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI purchased this bird feeder, hoping to keep away the pigeons and squirrels as the little robins and bluetits were struggling to get a look in. At first, I found the feeder very difficult to open but after some good advice from another customer I managed to do so by pressing hard on the lid and turning at the same time. Once I’d done it a few times it became much easier to open.

It took a few days for the birds to work out how to use it but once they did, the little bluetits and robins became regular visitors. It was wonderful to see them not being continuously pushed off by the pigeons, which happened with the long feeders. The squirrels however, have worked out how to stretch over and inside the feeders so unfortunately it doesn’t keep them away, and sometimes they do clean it out by tipping it up, but they do so less often than they used to. All in all I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this product.
