My seven year old granddaughter loves it. Teeny horses and figures with stable. Sturdy too. Thank you.
Great toy my daughter loves it. Good price she loves i
Granddaughter, age 5, liked this. I remember polly pocket from the 80’s/90’s as a teeny, tiny poseable doll and the compact house as having lots of tiny compartments and moveable areas. But times change. Nothing wrong with the quality or fun factor, just not as I’d remembered.
Arrived on time, great value for money. My little girl loves it.
Great little toy, my 3 year old daughter loves it and carries it around with her alot quality and detail is very good I plan to buy her a few more, small parts get lost easily though I spend alot of time looking around for them
If you’ve ever been horse-riding, then you’ve likely thought to yourself ‘I fancy a hot air balloon ride’. This mini Polly Pocket Compact allows fans to live out this fantasy, while also taking Polly and her friend on their horses over a bunch of rides and have a nice sit in a lovely pastoral scene. Like every Polly Pocket set, it’s colourful, intricate, filled with fun and hidden delights, and you can integrate it easily with your other sets.
A review from my 7 year old daughter:
I really like this polly pocket, I think you should buy it because I love it!!
We’re big fans of Polly Pocket in our house and this is another nice addition to the collection, especially for kids who like horses. We like them because they’re easily transported and so can be taken and played with at times when my daughter is having to wait around.
If you have younger siblings, it’s worth noting that the pieces included are very small and present a choking hazard.
Bought as a birthday present for 5 year old niece. Product came quickly and she loves it.
I gave this to a friend for her 5 year old grand daughter and she loves it. A perfect size to take along with her if she goes out but, not too small to have a good play with it, even has a moving part. Being a real horse lover, this really appealed to her, she just loves playing with it.
Colourful, bright and compact there is nothing not to like with this little se
My Daughter has quite a few Polly Pocket sets and absolutely adores playing with them.
This is one of the smaller sets but has so much play value. The set comes with two micro dolls Polly and Shani and two micro horses in black and white. The set is as with most Polly sets transportable and so perfect for taking to meals in restaurants, travelling with and of course just normal play at home.
The set case is in the shape of a cactus when closed complete with cactus flower detail on the front.
Inside the set there is a hot air balloon for the girls to ride in, mountain range for them to climb complete with rising cactus and a stable for the horses to sleep in. There is a horse exercise area with another horse in brown that can circle around. Finally there is a horse jump and seats in the hay bales for the girls to sit in.
The set of course comes with the new Polly stick stickers that you can place around the set as wished to enable to girls to stand in place.
A lovely little set with tons of play value and my Daughter especially loves the micro horses.
My Grand daughter likes this so thats really all that matters to me, it seems durable and have had no issues with anything breaking so can recommend, just wish the prices were better with the more popular items such as this. It is very tiny and the price should reflect this.
My daughter has quite a few of the Polly Pocket sets, and even has some dating back 20 years. This is a great addition. it is small and compart so easy to transport around (and lose pieces). The quality is as you would expect from a Polly Pocket toy. Lots of attention to detail. Ideal for a present, and at 13.99 its not too bad, as you do pay for the brand. Would buy again.
Polly Pockets have changed since when I was a kid, in the 90’s, and I expected I would not like the newer version, even if it was safer. I was wrong! I got this one for my daughter, who was celebrating her end of the year dance recital. She loved it! The dolls are larger than they were decades ago but still quite small,so this is not a toy for a young toddler. Polly is not only a bit bigger, but also flexible and with the ability to stick on surfaces, rather than lock into assigned slots like her ancestors. I ended up buying a second one for my daughter, and she loved it just as much as this one!
This good value set packs in a lot of items to play with which can all be stored securely in the cactus shaped case. There are several moving parts, a hot air baloon which can be moved up and down with one of the little doll figures in. A stable with a door that can be opened/shut and that is big enough for one of the horses to fit in. A fixed horse in a walking circle arrangement that the figures can sit on and go round and round. There are 2 dolls and 2 other horses that can be ridden around as imagination dictates and a fence to jump, plus some hay bales that the dolls can be positioned on. Would make a great gift and is a toy that would be played with over and over again.
Standard plastic set, very tiny but appreciated for a playtime, doesn’t really have much extended play and the parts are easily lost.
Not suitable if babies are around as a choke hazard, but for 5-8 year olds it’s girly fun and portable for when they are dumped at the Grandparents.
As little packets of plastic bits and pieces go, this is fun. It comes nicely packaged in a little plastic purse. Inside you have a barn, a corral, two ponies, two little Polliesss and a hot air balloon, for some reason. The hot air balloon is quite fun, though, because it goes up and down. This is for 4 + and it went down well with our niece.
This is a sweet little toy, which comes with two little figures, Polly and Shani, along with 2 little horse figures. The toy has interactive elements, which includes a riding corral, so Polly or Shani can ride the horse round the correl by spinning the barrel. The barn door also opens, so Polly can stable a horse, or put the horse in the paddock to eat, drink or jump the fence.
The whole set is enclosed in a pretty cactus themed case, which comes with a wrist strap, so it can be carried with your child. It is a great little toy for traveling to keep little ones occupied. At just under 13, I think it is a little expensive, but it is an average price.
This has kept her entertained for ages. Which is not easy to do. She plays with it all the time, and really enjoys this one. It is made well and is of the quality that you would expect for a Polly pocket. Really good toy for her!
I used to love these types of toys growing up (being a boy it was Mighty Max for me) and these Polly Pocket sets hark back to the good old times but should be something kids today enjoy just as much. This ranch set is a compact play set that at 12.99 currently may seem a little pricey for such a small toy but still manages to pack in quite a bit of detail. The plastic moulding feels quite sturdy and the play set folds securely into a portable carry case. Two figures included and two horses as well as some interactive sections such as spinning barrel mean that kids have enough here to use their imaginations and have fun away from from a tv or tablet screen.
This is one of the small Polly Pocket sets and based on a ranch. Even though it is quite small, it’s still packed with lots of activities to keep a child amused. This is what Polly Pockets are renowned for.
As usual the whole thing is very colourful, made from hard wearing plastic. The attention to detail is superb. Activities is the name of the game with this toy. So many little doors to open and sliders to slide. It really is quite adorable.
The great thing with Polly Pockets is that they close up and become highly portable. This one comes with a wrist loop for the child to be able to carry it themselves. Instant fun is then available wherever they are, even on a long car journey.
Overall, everything is as good as I would expect from Polly Pocket.
My daughter used to play with these when she was young and now my granddaughter is playing with the same ones. This is a lovely set with two dolls and two horses. Great for taking out as they all fit in the case and close shut for safe keeping.
Highly recommended
I was a huge Polly Pocket fan as a child and it was great to introduce my children to them.
These ones are larger and slightly less intricate than those from my youth but they went down very well with my 6 and 8 year old. They thought the figures were cute and my 6 year old had a nice long play with the set (it’s far too small for two sets of children’s hands to get involved!)
The quality isn’t what I remember and it’s a bit flimsy in places but I like that it’s transportable and light so it will come out with us for the you hear to play with at friends houses, restaurants etc.
My daughter really enjoyed testing this she’s had hours of fun, folds into a handy carry case, she loves the tiny horses, just same great quality I remember from my childhood
Standard Polly Pocket set, well made and very durable, these stand up to a lot of play! Nice and bright they have been engaging young kids for years, my neice loves them and she was delighted with this set; lots of components and hours of imaginative play.
For the bulk of this review I’ll hand you over to my daughter, who was very effusive indeed about this Polly Pocket and was inspired to write a lot of words about it. She would give it ten out of five if allowed. Before I do though, I’ll just make a couple of grown-up comments.
If you’ve got any other Polly Pocket sets then you know what to expect here. The construction is the same solid but not too lumpy plastic, and the outer shell will stay dent-free and intact in most school rucksacks etc. For the current value, there’s a reasonable amount of different activity on the inside and the mechanical part of it feels nicely durable. It’s colourful, generally positive in a “yes I can” way, and of course any toy which shows a girl wearing normal clothes and getting the job done (rather than wearing girly pink dresses and worrying about boys) deserves a positive acknowledgement. It’s the second Polly Pocket in our house and I’m pleased that it’s gone down even better than the first.
Right then, here’s what my daughter said (dictated, with very little editing):
I absolutely love it!!
My favourite bit is the chameleon that you pull up and down to make the cactus go up and down with it. I really like the horse that goes round in a circle around the barrel, and next to it the gate that can open and close to let the other horses in. I also like how they’ve made seats for Polly and their friends out of hay, and the path up to the stable. I also think that the hot air balloon is very clever because it can go up and down and can carry a person in it at the same time. I really get the theme.
I think the size of it is very good, I don’t think the outside of it is much like the colour of a cactus, but I really like the shape. I think the flowers on the outside are really clever because they look a lot like cactus flowers, and they look like they are on a real cactus. I also like how they use the pink and yellow flowers, as I think they are in such a position that if they were on a real cactus, they would look realistic.
Most of the time I get confused about which way to open it up. There are a wide variety of places where the characters can go, and I like that, because as there are two characters in it, if you had other Polly Pocket characters, there would be space for several of them to be in it.
I don’t like how the horse that goes round in a circle can’t come out of that circle, and I’m not a big fan of how you can only fit one person in the hot air balloon, but apart from that I love all of it. The theme is very different to my other sets, and it really stands out because it is a very peculiar shape, and it is the only one so far that I’ve got mixed up on which way to open it up.
If I had it as a birthday present, it would definitely be one of the special ones, and it would be on my top ten list of favourite toys. I love it very much.
