Very easy to use when out and about – you don’t have to carry a potty of wee/poo and can easily throw the bag away or take it with you like a nappy bag. My son seems to prefer it to the standard potty. The bags you need to use are expensive. This one can change into a ring reducer for a standard toilets so that it useful too.
Wish I’d discovered this earlier! Perfect for potty training, folds up small for easy carrying when out and about. Also love that it can be used as a toilet seat on a normal loo. Highly recommend
We also have the suitcase type potty and this folding one is much better and lighter and you don’t have to carry a potty full of *** around with you, waste just goes in the nearest bin. Brilliant!
I could not be without this product when my son was potty training. Compact and light enough to pop in your bag and versatile as it can be used as a seat reducer on a normal toilet or as a stand alone potty. It comes everywhere with me.
The best toddler tool a parent needs. Absolutely amazing product, easy to use, very comfortable, packs away small to fit under the stroller or in a backpack, sturdy…just amazing! Totally recommend!
Wish I bought this earlier. After tried few “portal ones” I was almost gave up. As they are either heavy or silly design. This one is good, light, easy to carry, easy to use. One of the bes
This is tge iten I will ve reccomending to friends starting to teach little ones how to use the toilet. It has saved us from so many acidents outside. Used it in the car, in public toilets. Its great it doubles as a toilet seat as well. 2.5 y.o. finds it comfy, I find it easy to set up. We out the bag underneath when using it, as she doesn’t like to sit on the plastic.
It folds quite thin so it’s handy to keep with you when your toddler needs a potty and there are no toilets around.
The bag system is super handy.
I recommended this to all my friends with toddlers
Bought this for our 2 and half year old who is almost there with potty training, just as a standby for when we are out and about. The fact I can turn it into a toilet seat is brilliant, as most of the time he uses the toilet but just won’t go unless there’s a toilet training seat. This is compact for carrying around and just incase we get caught short and are nowhere near a toilet we have the option of using it as a potty.
Really good seat – handy, easy and folds flat!
Great value for money bc it’s portable and can be used either as seat or stand alone potty for car journeys. Easy to use and clean. Far more sturdy than others we have owned in past.
Great to use when outdoors. Small and compact to carry around in the bag provided. Doesn’t feel quite sturdy enough when used on the toilet as adapter. Maybe the legs could have been a little taller when used on the ground as its a little short especially for taller toddlers.
This is a great portable potty. Very compact to stick in a rucksack or under a pushchair.
If you pre load it with bags it’s super quick to get out when not close enough to a toilet.
I try not to use it unless it’s an emergency as the plastic bags and chemicals for absorbency don’t seem very eco friendly.
Study enough if you clip the legs in properly, a little stiff to click legs in and out of their sockets, but not really a big issue.
Very happy with purchase.
My fianc was skeptical as to why we needed a potty and a travel potty but it’s been a godsend. So easy to use and pack with us. Genuinely a very good product!
Perfect for our little girl on days out when using public toilets or when out walking and there are no toilets. Fits in my rucksack perfectly. Wished I had brought it much earlier and relieved myself of the stress of accidents!!!
This was recommended by a friend and I bought it for potty training my son – so he can use it when out and about/on car journeys etc. It’s really easy to quickly pop it open and he can sit on it discreetly wherever we are. Comes with it’s own travel bag and it’s small enough to fit in my bag.
We’ve used this far more than we probably needed to because of covid. Firstly you need to buy the extra liners (someone mentioned nappy sacks with pads but we tried this, and may aswell buy the liners). I prepare it before we go out and after it’s used with a new liner and it’s been pretty amazing to just grab and go.
The legs lock into place to keep it stable, so we either pop it in the boot or on the floor. If you have to use it on a public loo (highly recommend it right now if you’re out) he can hold on to the legs each side for security quite comfortably.
The only negative I guess is I have a little boy and sometimes he pees outside the liner as it’s a bit loose around the potty seat so I guess clips or a hook to have at the front to keep it up (I can’t see one myself).
I wanted something lightweight and small to carry around and this is perfect it come with 3 bags and I ordered a bag of 30 separately I like that this had the bags for you to use and dispose of rather than have to find somewhere to empty it. And comes with a little carry bag to keep it all together. Really happy with my purchase perfect size for little bums out and about!
It’s hard to bend the legs down. It’s worth the struggle as it has saved us several times when our potty training toddler was insistent she has to wee and we were miles from any loo. In the summer tmit was great to take to the local pool so we didn’t have to use the public restroom.
We bought this before we went on holiday & it was fantastic! Easy to work & great for our little one when he needed to go there & then! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is, if you have a little boy there isn’t much room to fit his privates in so you sometimes get leakage outside the potty. Other than that, he has loved using it. It’s also great for use on the toilet, very sturdy.
Good travel seat for small children when toilet training, can be a little bulky for fitting into your bag compared to some others but very comfortable for children sitting on so makes it worthwhile having, especially while in the early months of toilet training when children can be nervous of using a big toile
This is a really handy product as it folds up and fits into a rucksack for carrying around with you. The bag for use on its own is fantastic and mess free. The seat fits well as a child loo seat on all the toilets I have tried it on (and it’s been a few!). The reason I haven’t given 5 stars is sometimes it’s hard to refold and more significantly because the seat itself is really small. Too small I find for my son. It would work better for a girl, but with a boy there is barely enough room to get manly parts pointing down into the loo and we have had issues with it spraying out from underneath because there isn’t enough room.
I bought this based on the recommendation of my cousin. I wasn’t sure at first if I liked it as the legs can be a bit tricky to get the hang of and it looks tiny (my son is very tall for his age). However, I’ve been using it for travelling/outings for a few months now and I have to say it’s brilliant! The legs can still be a bit frustrating to click correctly when closing the potette (they tend to come right off if you push them too hard!), but the more I’ve used it the easier it has become. Great thing is you can use it as a toilet seat too and it’s very compact in its own carry bag. Would highly recommend it.
Moving the two arms a little bit fiddly, but you can get the hang of it after a couple of practice runs. works as advertise. I would not bother buying extra disposable bags, just use a normal plastic bag with a couple of sheets of kitchen towel in them to absorb any wetness, it will do the same job and cost pennies.
A great product! A lifesaver when outside in the park or even when using public toilets. Very easy to use in each position and can be easily whipped out and put in place (at times where the little one is in a hurry). Stays securely in the position when my daughter (13kg) is sitting on it. It’s nice and small when folded and fits into my bag easily. I carry it with me whenever we go out and I can’t being without it now.
Definitely a great buy and I would recommend it 100%.
Great invention, although my daughter is potty trained she hates using public toilets, so ideal when we are out and about. I’m on my fourth pack now and have only had one bag with a split in it, so 1 split in 120 bags is not bad at all. Only thing is these are working out a bit pricey.
very handy little travel potty..we always keep it in car for emergencies and recently taken to holiday too..very useful when toilets are not close enough or not very clean. Liners are very good too, bit expensive but ok considering the ease of use. Potty is little small as our almost 3yo sits with legs spreading to front so we would use it only for those urgent times. Legs can be little funny sometimes. if you do not lock it correctly, it will collapse as soon as child sits on it but it gets fine with bit of practice.
If you want a travel potty this is fine. Light weight and folds up- the folding action can be a little tricky to avoid pulling the sides right out instead of just into the fold in position but it is easy enough to put them back in too. Only issue is my daughter definitely finds it less comfy than other pottys she has used but if we are out and about and she doesn’t have a choice, this is fine.
Pluses, it folds up very neatly and compact, the storage bag it comes with is a very useful feature and should last for as long as the potty is required. Its easy to put in place as both a potty and as a toliet seat (very very important with the state of public toilet hygeine nowadays), bags work very well and easy to fit, though I would load one up ready for use before you take it out as whilst it takes only a little time to fit, its seconds that count at this age. Negatives, it has a very small apperture which means that for all but the smallests toddler boys you will get a fair bit of leakage over the front. However that said as its intended only as an emergency solution then its absolutely ideal, if they adjusted the design to increase the size or the front lip then it would be 5 star. Still happy we bought one even though its clealry more expensive than the usual hard moulded design, recommended if you go out and about a lot or long car journeys with no chance of pulling over (traffic jam m25, bags really do work eliminating odour and very waterproof).
Perfect for potty training on the go! Our Son recently potty trained and this was a great travel potty – folds down neatly and stashes easily into its carry bag or a change bag. The potty bags make for a very neat disposal solution – urine is soaked up by a pad in the bag, and it can then be put in a normal rubbish bin, no more risk of messy spillages or having to pour it away discreetly!
This has made our potty training journey much easier. My son loves the fact that the liners have frogs on them that he can wee on (!) and the fact that if folds neatly away and is easy to carry is great for me.
He started wearing big boy pants only a few days before we did a big trip involving several trains and a day out in a city, we used the potette on the train platform, on the train, and in several public toilets and my son kept his pants dry the whole day. We were able to simply throw away the wet liner and pop the potette all folded up into its travel carry case. I can’t recommend this product enough!
This is a great idea. I found the legs a bit hard to click in position though. The bags are not quite as absorbent as I thought they would be so I just cut up some very cheap disposable change mats from Aldi & use those with any plastic bags. This product is very handy when your toddler needs to ‘go’ & you aren’t near a toilet!
I wasn’t sure whether to purchase this or the travel carry potty, upon recommendation I went for the Potette plus & I’m so glad I did, its easy to use, compact & light weight making it easy to take anywhere.
I think the price was good but the nags are a little expensive. I’ve ordered another potty potette for my cousins baby as a gift as she was pleased with it when I showed her mine. I’ll get my monies worth as I can use it on my younger baby when he’s ready.
Really great for convenience – small enough to pop under pram/buggy – disposable bags do hold the wee with no leakage so easy & hygienic disposal. The only negative is it is difficult to release and fold away usually have to detach the side prices with some force and then try & refit so bit fiddly if ur in a hurry but would recommend – more compact, multi functional & like the disposable bags
I bought this product for when I’m out and about with my 3 year old and she desperately needs the toilet but there are none around. In this case it was at a festival where the queues for the toilet can sometimes be very long. It’s a great product that can fold up and be placed in the back of the pushchair for these types of emergencies.
Combined with the disposable liners it’s a case of creating a shield for your child for privacy, they sit on it, do their thing and then tie the bag up and store until you get to a bin. All the contents are absorbed by the absorbent layer in the bag.
Best buy ever love the potty. Bags are way over priced for what they are. 30p a bag? Are they ACTUALLY taking the pee? hehehe But this potty is my life line to living a life with a toddler n being able to travel all over London on the tube n buses. Literally amazingly convenient. But the mechanism for popping up and down for toilet sit down as opposed to flat floor potty can hurt your fingers it’s very very tricky…there is a knack but it’s also tricky. But what can I say my son won’t pee without it and so we never leave the house without it! Lifeline. He’s a big boy for 2.5Yrs n it’s a ok fit not as cosy as his at home potty but it works for emergencies.
This is the best thing that has ever been invented for toddlers! When I started
Potty training my daughter I tried out a few potties but this one is by far the best. We take it out with us everyday and it’s perfect because she’ll use it as a toddler toilet seatlostly but if we happen to be in the car or in a place with no toilet facilities all you have to do is attach the potty absorbable liner and it’s perfect for her to do her business. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t find this! We’ve not had one toilet accident since purchasing this product. I would highly recommended.
Great product in many ways. Very convenient during potty training phase especially when they need to go immediately and there’s no nearby public convenience. Pulled over in the car to use on side streets and car parks which we just wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise. Only minor negatives are that putting the legs in standing position so they click properly is a bit stiff and the bags that you need to buy to complement product are on expensive side. You only get three bags included with potette plus. Potentially could use small swing liners with kitchen roll as alternative.
Arrived promptly and have tried out assembling and works okay have also given it a good pressure test and both potty and toilet seat and am satisfied if assembled correctly will be safe for my son to use. Though he hasn’t used it yet but as he’s just starting to use the toilet I thought this would be ideal for on the go and wanted to be ready. Also will be good as he can use the same seat as either a potty or toilet seat whenever he leave the house. It’ll have to go under the pushchair for now but when he’s dry it can just go in the changing bag.
I like the idea of just being able to bag up the waste as I don’t really fancy the idea of running around trying to get rid of the contents of a normal potty and the ones with a lid are just so bulky, this way I can just get rid of the waste in the first bin I pass by.
Also came with a plastic drawstring carry bag and 3 liners though I’m not sure if i’ll buy more liners I’ve got some bags and cheap santiary towels to use to absorb fluids and will try out before deciding what’s best.
UPDATE September 2014
So far have only used as a toilet seat I expect that I’ll end up using it as a potty when he’s dry and we can’t get to a toilet in time.
Used as a toilet seat supports my little boy’s weight well and has worked on every seat we’ve tried so far.
We decided to start potty training without much planning on a Saturday afternoon, went out on a walk on Sunday and had an accident in the park. So wanted something we could put in a rucksack and take with us anywhere. This is perfect, we have been caught short a few times whilst out and whipped this out of our bag and crisis averted.
Also my son didn’t like going on proper toilets, so being able to take this with us to restaurants or days out has helped a lot as he now feels a lot safer.
I actually don’t understand how anyone with a toddler can cope without one of these if they ever plan to leave the house. We use it as a toilet seat when we’re anywhere with a toilet or as a potty if we are caught out elsewhere (out for a walk in the woods, in the park etc). Our 2 1/2 year old daughter was potty trained in 10 days & we never have accidents because we carry one of these everywhere we go. It’s small, it’s light & I couldn’t be more grateful that my friend talked me into getting one.
I was a bit dubious about the cost and whether I would use this much but I would have been totally stuck without it!! It is brilliant and everyone has commented on it. Have used it daily – it fits in my changing bag or under the buggy. I have used it mostly as a toilet seat at people’s houses or out and about as little ones struggle on normal size seats without falling. Also used it as a potty on loads of car journeys or out in buggy where there’s no toilets. The bags are expensive but brilliant as you can just tie up securely and bin them. Its not huge so you need to make sure your child is sat on straight to avoid any spillages (esp boys!) but my son can sit himself on everytime without incident. Very easy to put up & down in a hurry too!! Wouldn’t be without it!
Easy to assemble, apart from being a bit stiff to begin with, this fantastic portable potty/trainer seat was the turning point for our little girl. We loved being able to cart it anywhere and snap it into position very quickly. The trainer seat is ideal as a next step, especially when in public toilets, more hygienic.
The only downside is that she gained so much confidence that it’s now no longer needed! The novelty of getting the ‘froggy’ wet did the trick. My one tip to make the liners go a bit further is that when they do a wee, lay a few sheets of kitchen roll in the bottom of the bag so it can be used one more time or else you will find yourself running out of the liners VERY fast. Excellent and can’t recommend highly enough.
This is a great little product and has been a blessing on countless occasions from needing the toilet whilst out and about to helping with public toilets by removing the danger.
The little wings fold out to create a solid toilet seat or fold under to create a portable toilet when out and about, they they fold underneath so you can chuck it back under the buggy.
Supplied in its own plastic bag which we also keep the liners in.
I absolutely recommend this product and friends have now bought one after seeing ours in action.
Really good as a travel potty. Not so good as a toilet seat as it moves around a lot. Our little one felt far safer just sitting on the big toile
Great for out and about, my daughter much prefers a toilet seat over a potty and this can be used as a toilet seat so it’s so incredibly handy for us.
