Bought this so that I could easily reach the socket behind the Christmas tree. It’s great because each socket has an individual switch so I could turn the tree lights off without turning my lamp and modem off. Going to use it for my tv after Christmas because the socket behind the tv is difficult to reach.
Buying electrical products from Amazon is always a gamble because many manufacturers will use cheap materials that can be unsafe. That’s why it’s worth splashing out just a little bit more money for your electronics to ensure they’re safe and UK standards compliant.
This power strip is one such safe product. It’s sleek and white without unnecessary lights or unsafe USB ports. It also had a nice long candle that can reach around furniture. Switches are a nice touch for ensuring nothing is drawing power when it is off or shouldn’t be.
It is also surge protected and fused, so this product will give you good peace of mind and should hopefully last you a long time.
As the title says really. The product itself is very good, having individual switches is very useful and the main housing itself is nice and sturdy. The cable is decent too. The only bad thing is the ridiculously bright green LED in it. I use this for the stuff on my bedside table and it literally illuminates the whole room in a green glow – I’ve had to put a piece of thick card on top of it to block the light.
First one I had used a molded plug which I prefer had a couple of issues one small cosmetic issue plus hard to push in plug sometimes. Sending back for refund. Got replacement today no cosmetic issue but no moulded plug have used my plug tester on each socket and they all seem fine. Hopefully all will be ok
It is what it is, plug in and put plugs in it. Very good for price and I got it because each socket is individually switched. Good product for a good price.
Unlike some other reviewers I can confirm mine came with a surge protection sign and it has indicator lights on each switch letting you know its on or has power. Over all it’s still a decent product but if you shopped around you could get something a little better (eg. USB ports enabled) if you just added a bit more money. Hope this helps.
